Position of the hotel ,the personal at the bar very friendly and helpful.and the room of the 9,10,11 floor are very good
The personal at reception is not helpful. The second time that we arrive we have to complain ,they give as a room so small that we can't put the suits cases or hang my dresses. The hair dryer in the most of the rooms are useless
Nothing! Not a 5 star hotel. Only point it is well located.
Upon entry trash on the street like in the movies. Staff unclean, unshaven, etc. Room, old, dirty, etc. It did not even include a mattress pad. Dirty. Bathroom, small and worse old. Torn bed cover, really dirty carpets.
Nice hotel with excellent location. I will use it againg when I am in Buenos Aires.
The location was great. I enjoyed the old world decor and the friendliness of the staff on reception. I will stay again
The breakfast could have been better..one small domestic toaster with only two of the four pop ups working. The coffee was awful. There was a large stain on the carpet in our room...looked like red wine.
internet connection OK but lack of capacity, therefore often very slow.
24 hour check in was good as plane arrived late . staff friendly and knowledgeable and spoke English which is always a help room was of a good size
No tea or coffee facilities.... Had to order via room service which charged a service fee of 35 pesos for 2 coffees and 40 pesos each for the coffee first day was booked online ($US65) and when I went to ask for a second day the charge was then another $115...... don't know what happened there ..... the room is exactly the same
The bedroom furniture , curtains covers etc and bathroom were a bit tired .
Nothing, even the location, it is too noisy during the day and too quiet during the night.
We get an old room with a dirty carpet (wine, blood or similar) and the walls with black spots (like it has been a water problem or humidity). We could no change the room because the new one had the same things and it was smaller. The "white" bed linen had also brown and black spots, specially the pillows. They change as the bed line but the new ones were also old and even not the correct size (too small). I would not recommend to anyone. Horrible experience!
Bed wasn't very comfortable. Also got bitten all over, so I can only assume it also had bugs as well. Facilities were outdated and need renovation. Room service took the longest I have ever known anywhere in the world.
Location is very good for getting around: it's just off Calle Florida if you like to shop, 10 minutes from Ave 9 de Julio. Staff were amazing, fluent in English and helped out making phone calls to tour companies (I don't speak Spanish), changing money and finding random places like a local cobbler (heels got wrecked). Good size room with TV with one English channel. Rooms were quiet although could hear other people's wake up calls. Awesome breakfast.
Room's a/c didn't work. Every time I walked into room I was greeted by a muggy smell, but once windows got opened it was fine. Intermittent wifi, had to connect to several wifi connections to try to get a consistent signal. Curtains did not fully cover windows (room 1204) but I knackered myself out so much managed to sleep through any light seeping through the room.
Claridge Hotel maintains its traditional status in a fantastic location Excellent Cuisine !!!!
Carpets are too old. Hotel need immediate improvement
it smells like a very old stuff
location and gym
no pool, expensive airport suttle
Very helpful staff.
My room was not cleaned after my first night but this may be due to confusion after I extended my stay for a second night
Dirty room, bad condition, rude staff, had to leave for another hotel because it was so dusty and filthy. There was a bug in my bed and stains on the sheet. Cigarette burns all over the carpet. And the staff did not care, and not very friendly at all - got even upset about me complaining! Worse experience ever!
The hotel is old, you either had air conditioning or hot air, no other possibility. The manager came and told us that that was that and we could asleep with the Windows opened if we wanted, breakfast is also poor, noghing like the photos. Well we ended up changing hotels the very next day, my mother was with me and I wanted her to have a Nice experience !!! Not recomend, we fóruns a durty and wet towell in the bathtub when we went to take a shower!!!
location service reservation for transfers and tours breakfast
bed a little soft
Room was a good size with a wonderful bathroom. Staff were knowledgeable and quick to organise taxis and recommend places to eat. Breakfast was superb! Was finally able to exchange currency here (dollars to pesos).
WiFi was unpredictable.
Staff very helpful
Hotel bedrooms look tired and in need of some fresh paint
The staff and ambience
The orange juice, the towels, no coffee in the room
Helpful Staff no more
everything not like 5starts hotel.
Great location, very kind staff and good value for money. The hotel has clearly known better days but we can still get what we demand, guests opinion is valued.
Cleanliness is poor, especially linen. Some of us refered their used towels and sheets have been replaced for dirty ones. Matresses old and damaged. The first room they offered me was smelly and had the worst matress I ever saw, but they promptly and kindly moved me to a better one, even in the middle of the night.
Being unwell on arrival and expecting the usual 5* comforts which were non existent once I explained this Lionel was great and allowed us to see another room and then if we didn't like we could leave the hotel and not be charged! He and his team excellent polite and great English! Also the concierge were great!
Smell of damp throughout hotel made me heave. Size of room was under 20m2 unlike advertised room I reserved which should have been 25m2. There was no phone in room it was very drab decor nothing to please any sense the bed was small hard and even a 2* has more luxuries!
