The localization and the confort of the rooms At the moment to pay the bill there was a VAT of 21% , this is so much , we wasn't use to pay in the other reservation or was included and we knew how much to pay before. |

The Hotel Colon is a place for business or pleasure travellers who are content with the basics (clean and comfortable rooms, extensive breakfast buffet, and outdoor pool) at a reasonable price. The rooms are smallish measured against current United States standards, but if you're into measuring things against the US, you shouldn't be leaving the United Sates. Hotel Colon is above average by world standards, and ranks as excellent when the price is consdered, even if you use rack rates as the basis. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The Hotel Colon is centrally located, 1/2 block from a Subte station that is within two stations of connecting to all the Subte lines in BA. Overall it is a good value for the money. The only drawback is that the Hotel Colon charges for internet connections, either by the hour or for a twenty four consecutive hours. We purchased by the hour and monitored our usage -- the 24 hour option is not economical unless you plan to stay in the hotel all day. While free wi-fi or even hard wired internet connection is preferred, we would have accepted the 24 hour option if the time could be spread throught our stay instead of within 24 hours of initial log on. The bottom line, though, is that a hotel carrying the star rating of the Hotel Colon should not be charging it's guests for internet usage. |

Their, breakfast was very good for the money. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was well situated from where you were able to walk all the turist sites as well as shopping. The airport pick up worked extremely well, we liked it. The rooms are small. If you have luggage more than carry ons you have difficult time in moving in the room. |

Great central location near Teatro Colon and the Obelisk. Many of the major sites well within walking distance. Rooms were compact and clean and the buffet breakfast was more than substantial with something for everyone |

Size of rooms was good. Food was good. Baggage storage. Checkout time was 10am and hotel staff were standing outside the door at exactly 10! we had been told the night before that we could probably keep the room until later in the day, since our plane didn't fly out until 8 pm. However in the morning we were told the hotel was full and were quickly checked out. But, they did store our luggage for us. |

The hotel is very well located. I liked the breakfast. I had a good last minute offer for this hotel on Booking.com, so for me price/value was really ok. Internet use is not for free (I paid 30 pesos for 24 hrs). I had something in my bathroom smelling really strange, I believe it was the hairdryer, but I didn't really figure it out. |

Overall the hotel is an excellent value for the price charged Unfortunately a roach was found in the bathroom during the first day of our stay. Hope it was an isolated case... Nevertheless this had a negative impact on the grade which could otherwise be greater. Regular check-out time is too early (10:00 am) and staff would not accommodate us after 11:00 am without extra charges. |

Superb location, in the heart of all the action. Very good breakfast, and beautiful breakfast room. Professional staff. Attractive premises. Clean rooms. Very satisfying stay. The air conditioned unit did not work properly the first day and night, and we had to insist on it more than once, till finally the situation was resolved. |
