Great location for walking around Metrocentre and Port Very helpful staff Excellent breakfast for Argentina Good sized room with comfy bed
WiFi was so so but it is Argentina
The room was clean and quite ok. The room had better overall outlook than the rest of the place. The location is perfect
The breakfast Scruffee, as in scrounge around to find some eggs as it cant be called buffee. That while breafast open at 0700 the staff only then start setting the tables and clean the tables/seats outside.
This hotel is in a small street called Suipacha parallel to Avenida 9 de Julio, Buenos Aires main thoroughfare. This part of town is called Micro Centro. It is very convenient because it is a walking distance to all the main landmarks. There are many shops, cafés & restaurants in this area. El Conquistador Hotel is modern and has some excellent amenities. I arrived early morning from the Retiro Bus Station. I thought I wouldn't be able to get the room till noon. But the reception staff were kind enough to give us a temporary room in order to refresh from the overnight journey from the north by coach. Everybody spoke English and were extremely nice. They gave us a beautiful room at the back and it made our stay in Buenos Aires even more enjoyable. We had a welcome drink as well. The dining-room on the top floor has a great view and is quite a pleasure to be for breakfast. At certain times, it is packed as it has limited space. The bar is on the mezzanine above the reception and the lounge. They do serve a few ready-made dishes if needed. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, enjoyed its location, the room, the friendliness of the staff and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
- Space in the dining-room at certain times.
location cleanliness big closet with big mirrors
access to/from parking---That was pretty inconvenient especially when with suitcases
Location Wi-fi speed
Check-out at 10 am Standing in a line to have a breakfast cause all the tables were occupied The real prices in lobby bar differ from the menu prices
Excelente location. Staff was very friendly.
Room wasn't like on the picture. I have asma. Was very hard to sleep at night. Room was very clean, though. But perhaps the matters was too old. Pillows were confortable and clean.
After complaining about our room, we got an upgraded room. Front desk staff has more than basic English skills. Wide variety of breakfast.
During our first whole night there were loud and disturbing noises (ventilation shaft??). Really small bathroom and inconvenient structure. Poor explanation about the 'pre-autorisation' of our creditcard upon arrival (confusion regarding actual payment when checking out).
The hotel is situated at the northern end of the 'microcentro' - the main shopping district of Buenos Aires. And it's within walking distance of most of the main tourist sites.
WiFi poor. Breakfast content good, but room too small - you have to struggle to find a table and struggle again at the overcrowded buffet.
Perfect location, staff was very kind, nice breakfast. Room refurbished but a long time ago.
Could be better for a 4 star hotel. Room A/C tempareture isn't adjustable. Pics doesnt show the real deal. I expected much more from a 8.4 rating on booking..
We stayed for 6 nights and we liked a lot. The location is central and facilities are quite ok. The staff is all very nice and helpful, from the reception desk people to the cleaning staff and everybody in the breakfast area, all were very nice and very prompt to attend our needs. Breakfast is quite well stocked and diverse and rooms are clean and comfortable and towels were brand new.
The shower glass doesn't protect much and the bathroom floor gets easily wet. Other than that all was great.
The restorant across the street, Los Remolinos, is excelent!
The furniture too old, the bathroom too small, this hotel is only a 3 stars hotel
The staff and the service was outstanding. The location was also excellent.
The Hotel is well located, just one block from the "Avenida 9 de Julho", and circa of 300 m from obelisco. Staff was always promptly to solve any issue we had. They can also exchange dollars at a good rate, this was very important, due the fact that in Argentina, official rate is not a good option.
The location is one of the best. Generally it's a good hotel.
Can't think of.
Centrally located on a quiet road. Quite a few bars and restaurants in the immediate area.
It was all a little run-down. Staff seemed generally disinterested, property lacked character, breakfast was dodgy/basic. Thin walls, and the lift/elevators needed to be replaced in the 1970s.
Air conditioner was poor, Rooms are very dated, rooms Cleaning was not Good
It was a 4 star hotel so everything is done in a good way. Sauna was really good but the gym was really small. Breakfast was the best in our 7 months trip. Via booking.com you pay the taxes in internet so you don't have to worry about that in a hotel.
A very nice clean hotel very well situated in center of Buenos Aires. Friendly staff and very good breakfast.
Wifi so and so.
Very good hotel if you don't consider the wifi. Location was perfect.
WiFi was reall bad. Everytime you connect have to enter a very long and complicated user and password, and was very slow.
Great location if you want to see many of the cities many attractions I will return
Whenever I made my reservation on this hotel, the website showed a price of 898 AR$ + 21% taxes. This would total 1086 AR$. However, at the time of the check out, the hotel charged me 1,400 AR$. I argued about that and showed my reservation. The hotel told me the reservation was made in US$ and they didn't recognize the official exchange rate that the website made the conversion. Official exchange rate is around US$ 1 = 8 AR$. They charged me US$ 1 = 11 AR$. I was very disappointed and I will make a formal complain to Booking.com as this hotel is not being honest. At the reservation time is a price. At the time to pay is a different one. Very strange, right?
overall pretty good place to stay
Location was perfect . Staff very helpful and happy.
a bit slow in recognising that I needed a special diet. But afterwards couldn't do enough for me and managed to locate plenty of gluten free products.Well done!
