The hotel is in a perfect location to visit the fashion area of Soho, the building is very nice, I love the entrance, the girl from the staff is very friendly as well the owner a French guy living there If possible help to bring the suitcase from the last floor, it's quite hard job if you have huge suitcase as me, and improved the light in the room

Loved the hotel decor, a real surprise when you see the building from the outside. The staff were very helpful giving restaurant and bar recommendations etc. My husband was unwell during our stay and their care was much appreciated. The room we were given initially was terrible, no natural night and the toilet was right next to the bed with just a small curtain rather than a door! We had let them know when booking that we were on our honeymoon so I was very disappointed. We did get moved to a room on the top floor which was much much nicer and other than nice our stay was great! Not in the heart of Palmero, we knew this though so wasn't an issue.

We are so glad we found this hotel, my friend actually switched her other ba hotel for later in the trip back to this one. Its at the edge of Palermo Viejo on a quiet side street 4 blocks from one of the main squares so while offset, definitely walkable to some of the best parts of Palermo, in fact we walked both 2 days with only a few cab rides to other parts of town. The interior is tastefully done and the rooms large and comfortable. They have a couple really cute living spaces for relaxing with again great contemporary but comfortable design. The service was very helpful and gave us good recommendations on what were the best streets to walk around for the cafes, shops, and where to eat. It is 4 blocks from the main area across a major dividing road so if you have to be absolutely in the middle of it all/Palermo, its off to the side. But totally walkable. Our bathtub stopped up a couple times. They don't really have/include breakfast.

The staff (24/7 available kind and full spirit) The design The location (close to Parlermo's heart: Plaza Armenia but quiet) The rooftop: exquisite! The breakfast (could eat a bit more than 2 tiny croissants, coffee and orange juice) even though they are good! The noise (in the street view room)

The location is fabulous, and the common areas of the hotel are beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are lots of guidebooks to borrow. All the windows in the room, including the bathroom window, opened into the building's hallways. This is somewhat standard in Spanish Colonial architecture, so I surmise it's something of a matter of taste. For me it felt un-cozy and un-private, though. The Wi-Fi also barely reached the room, which is also somewhat standard in these parts. But more importantly: the toilet only has a small stall door separating it from the bedroom which does not go all the way to the ceiling or the floor! This leaves very little privacy if you are sharing the room. There are more private toilet stalls off the hallway---but, why is this how it's designed?

The common areas were tastefully decorated. The bed was really comfortable, wonderful pillows, great shower. Bedrooms were very basically furnished. Some of the touches used in the common areas could be applied here

The house itself is very nice with terrasses and inner yards. Good bed. Had to ask my boyfriend to leave the room when I needed to use the toilet. Basically no door. Sink is in the room.No breakfast included in the rate. Rate - 70 euro.

Staff were incredibly helpful and answered all of our dumb questions and gave great recommendations for places to visit, eat, stay. This was despite the fact that our Spanish was terrible! We stayed here twice over a six week period. The hotel is great value and most importantly clean. Definitely recommended. Coffee and juice was great for breakfast but perhaps consider some more variety in the breakfast food menu. But not much bad to talk about.

Not recommendable. They charge you 21% more saying that is taxes, but is not reflected in the price in Booking.com and they say the'll give you an upgrade if you pay in cash, but then they won't give any ticket, meaning that they won't pay the taxes. Moreover, the guy who checked us in was in a bad mood and was very unpolite. Is a pitty because is a nice place.

It was very good value for money, the location is great, very close to Plaza serrano, plaza Armenia, shops, supermarket. Our room was very clean and they have a nice design. I would recommend the Costa rica Hotel for sure. My husband and I were very pleased. They did not have tv, but why u want a tv on holidays.

Hotel Costa Rica is exactly what’s advertised. It provides all basic essentials and is comfortable and stylish. The hotel staff is friendly, professional and provides sound recommendations on where to go and what to see. They were also able to accommodate English, French and Spanish speakers with ease. Additionally, the hotel actually offers a number of a la carte options such as breakfast, sauna and has a bar on site. Although wireless connectivity is advertised as only being available in the lobby, we found it readily available from the roof top terrace and our room, which was located on the top floor. Though the room we had was minimalistic in nature (I.E., no telephone, television, etc.), it provided exactly what was needed. Overall, I found the hotel met my expectations and the staff exceeded my expectations. The only concerns, though minimal, were the availability of toilet paper in the shared top floor bathroom, a safety concern, potentially a miscommunication with staff, and the prohibition of outside liquor/wine. The toilet paper issue is not an issue if you’re accustomed to using a bidet, but if you’re not, it poses some challenges. As for the safety concern, it relates to the floors. The restroom floors are tiled and when it gets wet after a shower, it gets extremely slippery, so special care needs to be taken when getting in/out of the shower area. Finally, we had thought we were good on a wake-up call/taxi request one day and followed up on the wake-up call later in the eve. The wake-up call came, but the taxi request had not been made. As requests are written in a paper log, recommend reconfirmation of all requests prior to retiring for the night. As for the outside liquor, there are signs that state that outside liquor and wine are not allowed since the hotel has a bar (or a guest can pay a $20 us fee). We didn’t care for that rule, since there are nearby neighborhood stores and it’s important to save money when overseas.
