Located in Palermo Soho, nearby chic cafes and shops, the hostel has designer style décor, and features solar panels and organizes ecology talks and conferences. All rooms have private bathrooms.

Beautiful, big and clean room; very big bathroom. Nice interior. Friendly and helpful staff.
Inside its like a boutique hotel Palmero is close 5 min walk to bars Everything is exceptionally clean
Was on top floor wifi didn't work there
Lovely decorated hotel in one of the nicest areas in Buenos Aires. Very friendly staff
Lovely staff and owner
Location was very good in the heart of Palermo and close to many restaurants. Staff were very friendly who offered good tips and advice for first time visitors. Has a lovely terasse too.
The double rooms with the shared bathrooms were very small and the noise reduction between the rooms quite bad. It is almost 15 min walk to the closest metro.
Very stylish boutique hotel. Staff really friendly and helpful.
Poor room sound proofing
We loved everything about Hotel Costa Rica. The staff were some of the best we came across on our journey across South America. The entire hotel make very clean and had such an amazing vibe. It was quiet which we enjoyed and the ambience was very chic and trendy as well as earthy. We absolutely loved the lounge areas and the upstairs outdoor terrasse. I can't say enough about our time there. It was the perfect end to our journey across the continent. The location was also perfect for us because we were close to a tango hall, cafés, restaurants and museums.
Breakfast is not included and the cost for hat is served is not worth it. However there are great places to eat close by for great prices.
-staff -location -facilities -decoration luxury :)
-can hear everything
Great location, friendly staff
Shared bathroom could be updated like the rest of the hotel.
The hotel wax very nice and clean. Nice the atmosphere in a classic old building. We really enjoyed our stay and the stag was friendly and helpful. Great the location.
I had booked this hotel for 3 nights. Being a trevler from US, I was under the impression that the hotel is going to be similar to motels that are available for 60$-70$ in the US. I checked-in around 11 PM. What was offered was a room with just two man standing space, an open unsafe window facing aisle, a place that allows lot of street noise, a shared bathroom with no toilet rolls, a haunting narrow stairway, no intercom etc. The moment I decided to walk out explaining my issues the next day morning around 8AM, I was told to stay for one more day. If I don't do, I must pay and leave for one more night as they mandate 24 hours of prior notice (no matter whatever concerns you have). A highly unpleasing experience. I paid for the second day also before walking out. Thank god. Through booking.com, I found an another extra ordinary hotel in the neighborhood that saved my trip. I would never recommend any traveler to consider this place.
Staff were excellent and personable comfortable bed and clean room
Wifi only works in common areas Room was on the roof and rain could come in through the door a bit
The front desk staff is very friendly, we were given some maps of BsAs and the immediate Palermo-region and led to our room. The shared rooms all face a Patio on the rooftop of the building. Since we only wanted to stay half a night for our 4.30h-flight from Aeroparque, this was a good and very affordable option. The shared bathrooms were clean and tidy, the same goes for the room itself. A Taxi was ordered for us and promptly arrived at 2 in the morning. Perfect!
location breakfast room common areas
noisy air con
Beautiful public sitting areas, incredibly friendly host and staff - all very helpful.
I looked at 2 rooms, one with and one without an ensuite. They were both small, smelled damp and the ensuite shower leaked into the room. Not the best value for money, although the location quiet but close enough to the action.
Overall feeling of the place, staff
No fan in the washroom, everytime we had to shower the whole place would turn into a sauna with wet walls. The fungus stains on some areas of the room attest to that
Staff were very helpful. Spoke good English & French and gave great advice. Location is excellent as it's a short stroll to Palermo.
Breakfast. Costs extra but not really worth it.
I wanted to stay for 2 days and stayed for 1,5 week. Just fell in love with this beautiful building and surroundings! Palermo Soho where is located the hotel is the best area to live and stay in Palermo. Also, amazing helpful staff, super clean rooms, good service, nothing to complain about, its just a perfect place and my high recommendation to stay.
everything was excellent
Great location in Palermo with simple but tastefully decorated rooms/common areas. Nice outdoor patios. The staff was also very helpful.
Wifi could only be accessed from common areas, which was a little challenging. I made it work but I would suggest the hotel to expand wifi to the entire building.
Good location not far from the restaurants and bars. Great reception area to chill out with a glass of wine. Rooms with shared bathroom were small but comfortable. Showers were hot. 24 hour reception.
Wifi did not work in room. There are a few flights of stairs to climb if staying in rooms on the top terrace. Not easy with a lot of luggage.
Awesome roof top terrace, felt like a little piece of heaven. Convenient location in Palermo (quiet, but close to restaurants etc). We originally booked a room w/shared bathroom, but were offered a room w/private bathroom for the same price upon arrival. We accepted the offer, but asked the next day to change back, as the room with private bathroom was located in the innermost part of the ground floor, and smelled very mouldy (like a typical basement in concrete building smell), and I got very allergic during the night we stayed there. We changed to a room with shared bathroom on the top floor the second night, and this was just perfect - really liked the location next to the roof-top terrace. Bear in mind that there are many narrow staircases to climb and navigate through to get there, but it was absolutely worth it :)
If you have luggage that is difficult to carry, a room on the top floor may be cumbersome to reach.
Although advertise as fully covered, there is no WIFi except in the patio or the hall
The staff were really helpful and great people to chat with, especially Nic and Axcel. Location was great and the atmosphere in the hotel was always relaxing and friendly. Whilst I have noted a couple of issues, these are easy things that can be fixed. I would not let them deter you from staying here. It was a great hotel, great people and we absolutely loved our time here! 100% recommend staying here!
The room was good except for 2 things. 1) the water from the shower leaked under the door and into the room, this could be fixed easily by purchasing a door seal. 2) there wasn't enough light, mthe room was quite dark. This could be fixed by renewing the lightbulbs as there was a light not working. However, bear in mind we had paid for a shared bathroom and was upgraded on arrival at no extra cost. They also offered us a different room which we declined as we only planned to stay a couple of nights. We stayed 9 nights!!! So as you can see they were not really big problems. Would definitely stay again.
