Being on somewhat secluded location the hotel offered free shuttle service into town. They organize tours to thr glaciers and can prepare lunch boxes if requested. The sauna, pool, massages and resturant are wonderful. The view is spectacular. Rooms are spacios clean and beds are very comfortable. Art and design surrounds you. Free wifi and bussiness center.

Staff was great. The carpet in our room needed to be stretched. There were big bumps in it, easy to snag and trip.

We stayed in the hotel for three nights in February 2013. One night of which was my partner's Birthday. The hotel had breathtaking views over lago Argentino with floor to celing windows in our room which was fantastic. The pool and facilities were great, especially after our day of mini-trekking on Perito Moreno glacier. The lack of air conditioning in our room was annoying. The room was way over 33 degrees during our first night. We had to ask for an air contioning unit after our first uncomfortably hot night. The food evening meal we had was not greatly executed and the background music did not add to the ambience. Felt it could have been far better to complement those fabulous views. I was disapponted with these aspects not delivering as I had booked the hotel for a Birthday treat

+ Stylish, nicely decorated hotel + incredible view over Lago Argentino + restaurant open non-stop and with beautiful view over the lake + swimming-pool and spa-area with sauna and fitness (everything clean) + hotel offers shuttle service to go down-town + location (far from the city center, too far too walk) is not a problem, as all organized tours / agencies will pick you up and bring you back directly to the hotel; the location itself is great! + wifi / internet for free and working in the rooms - Pool and spa-area where over-heated; windows had to be opened in order to cool-down, which in turn led to a air-current... - if you're on the sea-side: the room heats up to incredible temperature (like a sauna), difficult to cool it down, as the air-conditioning did not work; had to open the window, but night-temperatures are super cold, so impossible to sleep with open window... - only basic breakfast, not worth a 4-star-hotel-breakfast - hotel offered shuttle service for down-town only from 6pm onward, before you need a taxi

Good design, good location, great staff! Terrible breakfast, worst than 7 eleven convenience store. In fact I have to go there later to have a decent breakfast. People were fight for a glass for orange juice, and when you could get one, there was no more orange juice left, and it is not even last hour breakfast I mean, around 10am it was at 7 am. There was no eggs, no cakes or any kind of light or whole grain bread. I think that no only me, but all other guests were expecting much more. Desing does fullfill eyes but breakfast was really poor. And there was another incovinient, two days before I arrive there they charged me for the room and my credit card sent me a notification, when I was checking out they charged again, but i said the had already charged 2 days before, they said it was just a pre authorization. They said that they have cancelled and will charge again, why?!?

The hotel is very good, very comfortable, attentive staff and wonderful view. As the distance is from the city center (30 pesos taxi), only worth it if you stay in a suite facing the lake. Positive points for the view at the heated pool (just to throw pool water in glasses!) and drink peach! Negative points for the price of lunch box they charge. If you are visiting the perito moreno set it up and make yours before. We had problems with internet connection during the one week that we were staying, but we ask discount and they received on their lunch pails. I'd say it was too little for an internet addict. Other than that, I've walk very much in the city and did not find a nicer hotel on the outside and even inside in my pre searches. It is worthwhile, however phone before to confirm that the internet is stable.

The rooms were fantastic, the junior suite was huge, the bathroom was amazing. A lot of thought had been given to small details. It is a hotel with ambition for sure. I hated & I mean hated the 'designer' music from the unfittingly poor speakers that are piped throughout the common parts non-stop. Such a bad decision. I understand that the music is supposed to add an ambience, but the sound quality was so awful, it ruined what could have otherwise been really relaxing quiet times, or equally good music if played through a good quality set-up. The hotel clearly wants to appeal to those seeking a 5 star experience. Sadly small maintenance defects shows that the hotel is not receiving the TLC required to keep it in tip-top condition. The heating was way way too high & my room (205) is directly above the sauna. It was unreasonably hot in there & the windows open only a tiny bit. Avoid this room until it is fitted with air-conditioning!

Fabulous position overlooking Lago Argentina, striking design of building. Warm inside important as very windy outdoors. Pool temperature between 24 - 30 degrees indoor and outdoor so swimming a great experience. Good spa. Lovely spacious feeling, friendly staff, spacious room. Only drawback is distance from Calafate, a forty minute walk, but there is an evening shuttle bus and I think they will take you in on demand. I would definitely return and think it is probably the best hotel in El Calafate. A tiny point, the pool area was a bit dark at night, as it was open until 10 pm, so I suggested the use of lanterns with candles at night. Big bonus to have pool open so late.

Our experience in the hotel was great. Starting with the team that was polite and accomodating, thru the room facilities, the view from the windows, the complete silence. Cleanliness. El calafate is a special place, and the hotel fits in.

Sehr nettes Personal.
