This is a charming, character-filled boutique hotel. We stayed for 3 days over new years eve and had a wonderful experience. Rooms were large, clean, comfortable and rustically decorated. The grounds and swimming pool were small, but beautifully landscaped and inviting. Great location within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, and a slightly longer (but enjoyable) walk to a few wineries. The real charm of the posada is the hospitality of the family/staff who run it. We were afforded an early checkin (much appreciated after overnight flights and zero sleep); staff made all suggestions and arrangements for our activities for the area (bicycle winery tour is brilliant!) and invited us to share in their family new years eve celebrations where we were treated as part of the family by all and enjoyed an evening of lots of laughs, a spectacular bbq dinner and freeflowing wine. Highly recommended for those who seek a boutique and social experience.
This is a special boutique hotel, full of ambiance, Inca architectural details (designed by the father of the owners), and living up to its name of "the gathering place". One could be private here, but part of the charm was to interact with the other guests and the staff. Everyone was very interesting and the staff so very helpful. The hotel was very comfortable, clean and so charmingly different from the generic quality of a brand-hotel.This charming hotel in a wonderful town that we walked to every day let us participate in a rhythm of daily life in Mendoza. The activities offered were wonderful -- such as wine tastings, white water rafting, thermal spa experience, paragliding and horseback-riding.
a little more lighting in the rooms would be nice, but the architectural details and the Argentine details of the fabrics and furniture, were great and made our visit special.
Location Lounge area inside Secure
Poor natural light in rooms Swimming pool full of bugs dead and alive Breakfast tables not cleared or cleaned after use Breakfast items not replaced/no one attending Poor WiFi Overcharging
The calm and the beauty of the hotel. The spot (hard to find for our taxi driver) but situated in a superb neighboor. The breakfast and the commodity of the staff
Paying normal american fares for room even though we are in Argentina.
Amazing family run attentive service, glass of wine when we checked in was a lovely touch! The beds were HUGE and just loved the rooms and setting.
Very friendly and helpful staff, and very charming setting. The setting is a little rustic, but in a good way and we were very comfortable. They provide a nice breakfast in the morning too. There's a small underground wine cellar in the lobby, with a table and enough room for about 12 people to have a small party. The area is very, very quiet and peaceful.
We hired a driver that knew exactly where the hotel is, but i could see it being hard to find if you're driving on your own. It's probably a ten minute walk to the nearest restaurant.
The staff (three brothers) is personable, helpful, friendly, they make you part of the family. The location is super for vineyard visits (you can walk to Clos de Chacras), quiet outside the city center madness, green oasis on beautiful grounds, close to supermarket, cafes and restaurants.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful building. A great place to relax and a great base for surrounding activities. Highly recommend this hotel.
Location and staff
Rooms are small, lighting is poor, soap and shampoo are not good, there is no gym
Personal service...they even arranged for a nurse to come to our room to address a medical issue.
The owners were apologetic when we cancelled our booking after one night. They were keen to learn why we were discontented and gracious in checking us out.
Paper thin walls, loud rock music in the foyer, limited communal spaces, tiny pool and less than inspiring breakfast resulted in our checking out after one night.
We opted to stay in the countryside of Mendoza rather than the city, as we learned many Americans tend to do, and we are so glad we made this decision. The neighborhood of Chacras de Coria is so pretty and quaint and had a much more "local" feel than the city of Mendoza. Many non-American tourists seemed to be out and about in the area, and this hotel is a 5 minute walk into town with wonderful restaurants (Dantescu was AMAZING! which was recommended to us by the hotel staff)... speaking of the staff, the local boys that run the front desk were some of the friendliest people we met during our trip. We wish we decided to stay in Mendoza more than two nights because this place was a gem!! We would definitely stay there again when we come back!
TV in the room would have been nice, otherwise I have no complaints!
Everything. The location is brilliant: Chacras de Coria is a quiet, safe and well-serviced town with wineries you can walk or bike to. The rooms are rustic and comfortable; the whole complex is very charming with a pool and wine cellar. The staff are absolute legends: they were always available to give information about wineries, organise bookings for you, help you track down odd things like washing or tissues, recommend good places to visit. In general they're just really friendly guys who even joined in a large BBQ at the end of our stay. Would recommend to absolutely anyone.
My husband, son (21) and I stayed at the Posada for five nights. We loved the hospitatlity, simplicity of the inn and the proximity to the very cute and safe Chacras de Coria town. Super close to wine, rafting and to Mendoza. A real Argentina experience!
we stayed for 3 days on new year 2014. the place is beautifully designed family owned and run by 3 brothers. service and facilities were excellent. the brothers were very helpful and attentive. the neighborhood quiet and very green.
being secluded, on new year, choices of food were limited to non existent. since there are no self catering facilities, owner should consider some other options.
This was without doubt, the friendliest and best run hotel I have stayed in. We felt like members of the family.
It was a bit difficult to find, being on a small residential street. But once found it was an oasis of calm and quiet, with shops, bars and restaurants a short walk.
Excellent staff Nice neighbourhood Nive little town
