Staff was great, most spoke good English. Public areas modern and nice, as was our bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Standard European-style continental breakfast in nice dining room. Gorgeous park across the street, large grocery just two blocks away.
Silly half-door for the shower, chairs scraping against wood floor above our room, air con unit shuts off in middle of night.
The hotel is at a great location, only minutes walk to all the main attractions in Mendoza. The room and bathroom were spacious and reasonably clean. The breakfast provided is average but sufficient. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Even though the hotel is only 10 years old, it has clearly seen better days. The rooms have a tired feel to them. The blinds were probably never changed or washed and the bathtub is stained and cracked. The hotel could clearly do well with some renovations.
Everything. Bed was hard, pillows uncomfortable. We had no hand towels or washcloths to use, had to keep using the bath towel. Room was overlooking the street and incredibly noisy. Room stunk like sewage and when we asked to relocate, we weren't accommodated. Manager just made excuses for our concerns. All this hotel needs is an S in the name to classify it as a hostel. Staff was indifferent to our needs we moved out a night early(and were billed for both nights) just to salvage our stay in Mendoza. We stayed at the Diplomatic for the same price as this terrible location.
Location, staff, spacious rooms.
The pillows were a bit hard, and breakfast was a bit ordinary. (Some yoghurt tubs and bircher style muesli would have made it perfect.)
Carpet was old and badly glued
Location si great, good breskfast. Parking .
Bed no confortable, two mattresses put together for a couple. Not very confty.
The room was very large. Huge in fact for the price. Nice to have the second room. Location was easy, the second/living space viewed onto a park. The front desk was enormously helpful and the included breakfast was perfect.
The place is shabby. The room felt like it needed paint/carpet, etc. Just really unnecessarily shabby. The towels were totally threadbare (as in over washed, gray, thin with threads). Seems unnecessary. View from the bedroom was over the parking structure - gray and dirty. Just kept the blinds closed.
Very nice location and ample breakfast.
A bit oldish but great stuff for any local advice and tip! Good location, clean.
The comfort and size of the room. Nice huge firm bed, excellent bathroom, proper kitchen with freezer fridge. The view of the mountains from the deck. The gym. The breakfast was marvellous, fresh, delicious and diverse food you can stuff with to the point of not needing to have lunch. The quietness of the rooms was remarkable too.
One of the most unbelievable things I've ever witnessed in a hotel: the restaurant and room service were CLOSED DURING HOLYDAYS. So, what's the point of owning a hotel if you are going to shut down one of the essential services when it's going to be filled the most (national holyday + wine fest)? There is no way I can understand that. Really. Also there were some cheap attitudes such as not providing enough toilet paper or shampoo. I must confess it was a little embarrasing to page the reception just for TP... Also there were only two plates, and two spoons, and only two knives and no way to wash them. It really unforgivable for a 4 star hotel that these kind of trifles take place. And finally, I'm not sure if the bedroom is the place for the tv instead of the living room.
room was very nice we had a senior suite.
a pitty that the breakfast did not include eggs (a surplus needed to be paid)
Nice location easy to get to things walking. Staff was very helpful.
Breakfast not much
