Blanca Patagonia is a charming boutique hotel in El Calafate, southern Patagonia. This small 4-star features cozy guest rooms, great lake views and friendly service in a picturesque location.
Score from 413 reviews Excellent
Friendly staff, good location, good views, good food. Great spa.
Good location, good facilities. Great value for the money
location is good as well as the overall design of the hotel. Also the service was very friendly
the food was mediocre and not in line with the look and feel of the hotel The atmosphere in the lobby could be better; the open fire place was never on for example. Also the restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere.
Good sized, comfy rooms with lake views. Swimming pool nice. Breakfast excellent. Staff helpful in booking restaurants etc.
Jacuzzi wasn't working. Seriously, that's all that was wrong with the hotel.
Great spacy room. Very nice architecture.
Booking.com marked the hotel on a wrong spot! :-(
Hotel staff is great and speaking english, in particular Gabriel helped us out with planning day trips etc etc. Beautiful ambiance, nice rooms, good restaurant/bar. Thanks for this esplendid stay in El Calafate!
Very comfortable hotel - beautiful view
Very friendly and helpful staff on Reception Desk, in the Restaurant and around the hotel. It is quite expensive but the decor, level of service etc was as we would expect from a 4* hotel. The weather was extremely unsettled during our stay so it was good to have somewhere warm to relax.
There are many choices for breakfast buffet. Staff was helpful.
-At first we thought that our hotel was pretty far from the city centre. However; after we surveyed the area, the location wasn't bad at all. Unlike other cities , there 's no nice hotel in the El calafate city centre. The closest hotel we saw was around 8-min walk from the centre. Given that our hotel was 10-min walk from downtown, I would say the hotel is in the good location. -The decoration 's superb . Every detail of hotel 's very impressive. -The room is nice , with the decent space. -The price for room service is not bad at all.
-I stayed there during the low-season that's why I saw staff doing so many tasks. The reception girl also served breakfast in the morning so there's time when we had to wait at the front desk before being assisted. -We had tried to ask for the adapter (we didn't bring one ) for 2 times but couldn't even get one.
- Staff were pleasant and friendly - Interior decor - Room was comfortable - Breakfast & dining
- The access road to the hotel entrance was a dirt road - Car park lot was unlit and unguarded
- The basis of the hotel works: nice design, roomy, lots of space, airy - Great rooms - Front desk staff were helpful pre and during
- Attention to detail lacking: broken lamps in rooms, dead plants, plastic antlers etc - No air conditioning in rooms - Need to relax the music a bit throughout the hotel - Missed opportunity to landscape and make a feature of the front of the hotel, looks messy
Very nice boutique hotel in centrally located area of town.
Couldn't stay at the hotel and was sent to Los Alamos. Nice attitude
I was charged the wrong amount to my credit card
I had to cancel the trip because I was at the hospital for a week. I managed to change hotel and flights, except for this hotel! They charged me the whole stay! Not really nice!
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! Please pass that along to them.
Mattress is too soft, and the room does not have ac, so even in summertime the nights get chilly and I have to close the windows. But then it gets too hot in the room in the middle of the night and I have to wake up twice to open the window for a few minutes to let the air in, which is really annoying.
The hotel is up a hill with nice views of Lake Argentino. Our room was spacious.
I felt the front desk was understaffed. No one helped us with our baggage to the room or upon check out. The wifi was intermittent.
Room was comfortable Bath and shower Communal areas nice Pool with waterfall shower
Jacuzzi was not working properly Missing digit off room number Plug fell off the wall Chips and scuffs to paint work
We spent 3 nights at El Esplendor. In the first night (24th December), after dinner (Christmas..), there was a RAT climbing the wall inside our room. That was so disgusting! The hotel staff didn't answer the phone, so we had to go to the reception (wearing pajamas) and were given another room. Next morning, we asked the receptionist to call restaurant "La Tablita" and make a reservation, and also booked an excursion for the 3rd day. When we came back later that day to pay the excursion, the price wasn't the same that we were told in the morning. We told the receptionist (another one) about the difference in prices, but this very rude guy just didn't matter and kept his price. So i asked if the restaurant reservation was ok and he just said La Tablita was full, without even searching for our names (we walked to the restaurant and made a reservation without any trouble). When we spoke to the manager, he just didn't seem much worried about the rat inside the room or his rude receptionist. The table clothes at breakfast were always dirty.
Nicest 4 star hotel in el Calafate It really is 4 star - most are not Great helpful staff Nice views
