Very quiet comfortable rooms

No differences between standard and deluxe rooms, wasted money

Public rooms are very beautiful as this was a prestigious hotel when it was built in the early 1900's. The deluxe bedrooms and above are good but the standard ones are on the small side. Dining room and breakfast were good

Drinks a bit pricey.

Nothing was too much for the reception staff. They arranged taxis, gave directions and guidance and provided good advice. Breakfast was excellent - particularly the orange juice! Rooms were clean with some nice touches eg two visits by chambermaids for towels and a chocolate on pillow on second night. Bell boys were also quick to assist. Buenos Aires appears to have mains drainage unlike other parts of South America so resumed more European practices.

Missed the 21% tax in the documentation - my fault

The hotel staff were exellent throughout especially at reception, they were most helpfull, and they created such a great atmostphere (please pass our thanks onto them). The breakfast was amazing, so fresh (couldnt ask for more). Overall excellent couple of days at the savoy in B.A.

Swimming pool would be nice, little bit away from the central - from comments above there is not one thing bad we could say about room, staff and breakfast - thanks again

The lack of the hotel personel to speak English . The lack of having an international news channel in English

Staff was extremely helpfull and friendly

Hotel has great decor. Yet, beds are super frim, rooms are dark. Located on extremely busy and not so "picturesque" street.

Staff was not so helpful. Would not recommend this hotel to even moveing around. Not a safe area.

Location on a very busy avenue

The decor of the hotel is impressive. The lobby bar is a nice place to sit and enjoy a drink. The location is just around the corner from Congreso and its also close to the subway. The breakfast is delicious.The staff were really friendly and helped book tours for us. They also upgraded us on arrival to a beautiful suite.

This is a wonderful hotel in easy walking distance from Corrientes with its theatres and bookshops or Plaza del Congreso (where you find a fantastic library which opens until midnight). It is in the city centre, but on a main street. Therefore, the area is not dangerous even at night time. The Savoy has been restored to its former glory with much care for detail. The big lobby and bar area are great for taking your five o'clock tea. Elevators and corridors are designed with images from Argentinean history and the big communal areas on each floor display the splendour of the early twentieth century. Rooms are spatious, modern, and well designed. Bed clothing is changed every day and super-clean. I had a good desk to do my work. All hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and take into account a traveller's wishes. Breakfast is exceptionally good, something rare in Argentinean hotels. While the menu does not change from day to day, it is very varied in itself. This is the place where you want to be.

There is very little one can criticise. In a four-star hotel, I would have expected individualised, soft, and thick towels, not the usual white towels guests get in any clean two- or three star hotel. On the first day mine were old and hard, with threads coming out at the edges. In addition, cleaning starts at 8 o'clock and can be very noisy, especially when cleaners talk to each other loudly and leave their walky- talkies on the corridor. This feels like sleeping on the platform of a railway station. I approached the hotel and received a prompt and friendly answer, informing me that the hotel is already preparing individualised towels (from then on I also received new ones every day) and cleaners would be instructed to be quieter and not use their phones and hoovers in the early morning. Such reaction is good style. I still think that cleaning should not start before 9.30 or 10 am, maybe by moving the check-in time to 2 pm. Also, such a big hotel should offer more than two PCs with internet access. Altogether minor squibbles; again, this is a great hotel.

The hotel is located near downtown and there is a subway station 2 blocks north and 2 blocks south which makes getting around really easy and cheap. The facilities are great if you are planning to spend a lot of time inside (gym is ok) or have a conference to attend at Savoy.

Some of the staff are really not looking to please the customer. Some requests that were made were completely dismissed after being promised (like reservations or fixing the phone in my room, which I was told would be taken care of, only to hear later that they had too much to do so my requests were dismissed)
