All-around good place to stay for a budget-conscious person. Internet service. Had to get from the staff serving meals and only 20 minutes available before having to pay. Most places provide internet access free.

The hotel is well located. My room was at the rear hence quiet. Breakfast is adequate. Staff friendly enough. The mattress needs turning...probably replacing. The floor needs the dust and hair removing. Take your own bath soap! Wifi is so slow that in the 20 ( in reality less) its hard to even download an email!

Location We booked 3 rooms and 2 of them were old withvery poor bathrooms and carpets. Pictures at Booking.com show only the new rooms, what gives us an incorrect idea of what you may get at the hotel; Some people from the staff were very unpleasent.

Near subway and Carrefour market. Paid Internet. Monotonous breakfast. Very hot and very noisy at night in the room. The bathroom had a lot of insects on the walls.

Excellent rate cost per money and localization. Breakfast is really fair. The room clean should be a little beat better, but I would come back to this hotel.

A Art Deco style hotel with a good location. Front desk staff were generally unfriendly and spoke very little English.

Great stafff who were incredibly helpful when needed and very patient with our lack of Spanish. Outstanding value, especially if you take the breakfast option. The slightly erratic server making accessing wi fi unpredictable and slow. But hey, we wern't in one of the great cities of the world to waste on the computer so all good.

We changed to an outside room with a view of the street. Good decision. Breakfast selection, seating, etc. quite nice. Interior rooms are dark and stuffy. Problems with both elevators functioning. Buenos Aires is not geared up for tourists and not very tourist friendly.

Breakfast was ok I was mugged outside the hotel at lunch time and my 18carat gold chain was ripped off my neck. Pity the management do not warn visitors that the area is dangerous. The air-conditioner was faulty and dripped water in the room - had to put the trash bin to prevent the room from flooding

The breakfast was very good. Excelent location, near almost all tourist places you´d like to visit. Horrible acoustic isolation, it was terrible to sleep at night hearing the elevator sound from inside my room! I paid for one double room and the bed they offered was two single put aside.

The staff at the Gran Hotel Argentino were very helpful even before our arrival - arranging our transfer to the hotel from the airport. The room was very clean and well appointed. The hotel was in a great location in walking distance to the subway, La Casa Rosada, Obelisk and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel. the corridor carpets were worn and appeared grubby

We enjoyed everything about Hotel Argentino. It is conveniently located near the majority of attraction in Buenos Aires; it provides easy access to public transport from which to explore Buenos Aires, with Avenida de Mayo Metro Station right nearby and Piedras Buenos Metro Station within a two minute walk from the hotel. Considering how expensive Buenos Aires is we were delighted to find that Gran Hotel Argentino offered arguably the best value for money that includes free breakfast. The hotel staff were very professional, delightful to talk to and always eager to help. Before we arrived in Buenos Aires they sent us email offering us shuttle service from the airport. That was very thoughtful and considerate of them. In between we had arranged a trip to Iguazu Falls and the staff at Gran Hotel Argentino helped us arrange local transport to and from the domestic airport as well as helpful information about our destination. The rooms at Gran Hotel Argentino were clean, well furnished and equipped with state of the art equipment. This is definitely a hotel that I would rank as 4+ stars despite we paid at almost 2 stars rates while staying there. I would recommend Gran Hotel Argentino to anyone who is travelling on a budget and wants convenient access to the main attractions in Buenos Aries as well as friendly and knowledgeable staff. To the staff at Gran Hotel Argentino "Muchas Gracias!"

Way overpriced. They put us in the wrong room at first (a room of lower quality than what we had paid for) made us wait around while finding a different room which ended up having the worse smell of stale cigarettes, the breakfast was horrible and they ran out of things an hour before it even ended. The television was old and didn't work in the first room. Overall not a great experience and definitely not worth the money. I've stayed in much nicer hotels for the same price or cheaper. Go elsewhere.

Really great location, nice room. Anything else but the room was dirty and worn out(doesn't really matters), wi-fi is not free!!! Stuff was hmm.. Not very friendly sometimes, but possible to live with. The thing that pissed me off is that I couldnt pay extra night on the same rate with cash, just by credit card on booking.com. And breakfast was not good. But location is great and room is good, i'd better suggest then not.))

The rooms are a good size and well kept. The food was good. The location is excellent and the price is extremely good considering the facilities available. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to those travelling on a tight budget.
