Score from 77 reviews Very good
Cooking facilities are quite good, they have things like spices and other basics for communal use. The fresh home made bread and cake that is served for breakfast is awesome!
You're asked to go through quite a few rules upon arrival, some good such as don't make noise after 11pm. However staff and their friends made lots of noise every single day, past midnight! Also, staff could have been a bit friendlier at times.
Close to two supermarkets, good wifi and breakfast.
Bit far away from town and bus terminal. Staff didn't speak a word of English, when on the website it said they did. The staff were not friendly at all! Didn't give us a tour of the hostel or tell us any information about and around town. Also we got stung with a 21% tax on top of the nightly rate, never had this with any other hostel before!
The breakfast was simple but good. The bed were comfortable.
The doors and lockers were a bit squeaky.
warm inside the hotel,good kitchen,amazing breakfast,nice staff~
Great showers Comfy bed Big lockers Big kitchen
Too many rules
Hostel layout was good, kitchen was good, although used by the staff more than the guests. Wifi very fast. Good location, staff friendly.
You have to sign a declaration when you arrive to abide by some playground rules and relieve them of any responsibility should your things get stolen. All well and good, except we were given a room with an unlockable door to a shared balcony. The room has lockers, but we got a double to increase our privacy / security - it seemed a bit pointless in this instance. Also, they have a strict no food in room policy, which they make you sign and agree to - we don't mean no eating, no food at all. We cook our own food so we have a bag, we got in trouble for leaving it in our room. We took it downstairs and promptly got our eggs stolen from the kitchen, despite having stickers with our name on them. A little thing, I know, and not the hostels fault per se - but since they came into our room (for no apparent reason I might add, they didn't clean anything, perhaps they came in through the balcony), made the effort to run up stairs and scold us for having our food in our room when we got back one afternoon, only to force our food into an area where it was promptly nicked... made us a little annoyed.
Friendly staff. Clean & comfortable place. The best thing was cheap price. I booked 3days for Ars$ 203.
Friendly staff, good wifi and clean facilities.
Staff is friendly and helpfull.
Wayne too many people to a bathroom.
Good kitchen, good rooms. Nice place
The opening hours of the Deck and the kitchen are too restrictive. As my main motivation was to go out early and hike, it doesn't make sense. Breakfast is also very late and I had to skip it.
Kitchen well equipped. Stuff very nice and helpful
Not enough bathrooms for each person
We had a private double which was a great size, quiet, with lockers, tv, huge bathroom and very comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly and was lovely to not feel like we were imposing when waiting in the hostel a few hours to wait for bus (unlike some other hostels). The breakfast was fairly standard, but with homemade bread every day which was a nice touch. Location is basically at one end of the Main Street, easy to get to the buses which was great. Shanty the puppy was also a bit cute.
Great location, really close to town and the lake. Comfortable bright dorms with large lockers :)
No yoghurts for breakfast.. But that's just me being picky!
> cleanlyness > breakfast with homemade bread, cake and marmelade > place next to the lake and the citycentre > kitchen
> very expensive for what they offer (TAKE CARE: tax of 21% not included in price!!); a girl arrived with us the 1. Day, she wanted breakfast BEFORE 0830 oclock... they didn't either offer her a small lunchpack nor a price reduction > very noisy > at 00 oclock someone from the hostel came knocking, "just to check, if someone was in the room" > someone from the hostel came up to us telling, that we have been drinking and eating in the room (which is forbidden, but we didn't do it!); we just had some empty beerbottles standing around... but how could they have known? In 4 days towels hasn't been changed, bed hasn't been made and garbish wasn't taken out once > camera watching you in the kitchen, eating room, standing in front of the hostel...
Friendly staff, warm atmosphere, Wi-Fi, good break fast, lockers in bedroom.
A little pricey compared with the competition. Single washrooms meant waiting for access on occasion.
clean and everything as it must be
the staff was at first really friendly but when they came back on a promise to garde luggage they were unfriendly . At first it was no problem then they said we gave them wrong info had to pay extra. This was not the case. Also we als booked an extra night in our room. At first no problem than we had to change to a dorm because they had a double reservation. Bad management.
well equipped kitchen, very rich breakfast buffet with fruits.
one shower/toilet for a lot of people.
Kitchen and breakfast buffet were above average (e.g. extra cornflakes and fruit). Laundry service was reliable and cheap.
Bathroom was a bit shabby. Generally a good hostel but nothing special to justify the well above average rating it currently has.
great breakfast!!! the staff was very helpful with everything and made us feel comfortable and welcome.
The double room on the first floor is right behind the kitchen. it's hard to sleep after breakfast started...
Decent size room for the price. Location was pretty central. Bathroom and room were clean.
If you book early enough, you can find a private room on AirBnB for around the same price. Breakfast was okay. Beds in the room weren't the most comfortable, but you get what you pay for.
Home made bread is very good.
WiFi connection. Not stable always. Sometimes I had to ask to reset the rooter.
Book in advance.it might be booked out. Breakfast was great
Wonderful, helpful staff, nice facilities, very conveniently located.
The staff were great, really helpful. Breakfast was one of the best we've had in south America with different things to choose from. The place was always super clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. The hostel has a good backpacker vibe due to the communal table in the kitchen.
