Decent location, near bars and pubs
Arrived at the arranged hour and the room wasnt ready, the staff was rude, they didnt provide clean sheets until 7 pm, our room had leaks, a tapanco/attic full with repair equipment and buckets for the leaks and broken roof showing the water pipes, the roim was humid.
We had a damp room with damp bed linen and musty smell. Dirty common areas and walkways.
Good location. The guy on reception spoke good English and gave us a good overview of the city
The place was dirty. Breakfast was basic, certainly nothing interesting as reported by other travelers. The main upstairs is ok but when he took us downstairs i knew we were in trouble. The humidity and smell of mould hits you immediately. Our room had mould all over one wall and part of the ceiling. I've come to expect some so this wasn't just a little bit. To make matters worse there was a dewer drain outside our room. I couldn't wait to leave.
The hostel was cheap, and excellently located
It was pretty dirty - one of two toilets in the women's bathroom was clogged during our entire stay, as well as the kitchen sink, the bed sheets were not clean, and guests were loud at night
The situation Clean sheets Friendly but inexperienced staff
Moisty bedrooms Dirty bathrooms Two separate buildings without indoor access
The staff was very friendly, a little too friendly at times. They seemed very disorganized, but it's a hostel so that is to be expected.
I stayed with a friend in the suite and it was disgusting. They spent less that 5 minutes cleaning it. There was mold all over the walls, part of the ceiling fell onto the floor, there was strange hair and mold all over the shower curtain, using the shower makes the floor flooded. It was just all around really gross. Definitely not worth it.
rooms are nothing like those on the photos. they are dirty, dungeon-like and depressing. and staff couldn't care less about anything. when asking for assistance with booking bus tickets the woman on duty refused to help, saying she didn't know how to (there's a sign in the reception saying "book your bus ticket here"). when asking her where the nearest metro station was she said she didn't know and left it at that. and so on, and so on, and so on. one of the worst places we ever stayed.
Staff friendly and helpful. Great terrasse on the top of the building. Location really good with great bars § restau. Feria San Telmo on sundays
2 different entrance as 2 different buildings
Alexandra, who checked us in and worked evenings, was lovely.
I stayed at this hostel for three days, 6 months into an around the world trip-which means this is the two-hundredth something hostel i have stayed in. Never have i seen dirtier bathrooms. The first night, i pointed out the situation to staff-no dice, the bathroom wasn't cleaned once in three days. I dont know what the situation is with the cleaning staff, who hung around grumpy all day, but it seems to me if an owner pays a good salary, sets clear expectation and treats staff with respect, then she/he can attract and keep employees who want to work. You can get way better value for the money at hostels and budget hotels elsewhere in the neighborhood.
Excellent location and very friendly staff.
Rooms and bathrooms are not clean, kitchens quite dirty and under equipped. Breakfast isn't great.
The location, the staff's spirit.
You'd like to skip breakfast and go to La Continental.
no couple-bed was available, but arranged by put together by nice staff. Location was great, in the center of BA, but quiet room to the backyard in a also quiet street. At least four restaurants next to the entrence door, no need to walk around for food.
+ Location in san telmo + Good atmosphere, lots of common places outside
- Dirty - No fresh air in dorms
I had a verry good time in the hostel. The staff and all the people I met over there were verry funny and cool. Is central in San Telmo a verry nice district in BA. Good kitchen and nice rooftop.
10-bed-doormetory without windows, AC didn't work in the room. Had to change the house to get from the reseption to the doorm. Staff was not that unseful.
The hostel is pretty well located, breakfast is very good and the staff was always there when I needed something.
