We stayed in this hostel 2 times. At both stays we were first offered a room with walls severely polluted by mold. The smell was unbearable, however, the staff each time pretended not to know about it. Moreover, the general ability of the staff to speak English was poor, in some cases the receptionists did not speak or understand at all! The breakfast is also very inadequate, only croissants and tea or mate, nothing else at all. The wifi connection is a joke, it is not available for most of the day and very unstable in those rare moments when available. The hostel lacks any atmosphere as there are no usable common rooms. Only a last option if you cannot get a bed elsewhere.
breakfast was really poor.
Very clean and excellent location
WiFi was sporadic
Nice room and ensuite bathroom. Secure location.
Location is near main street but not very close to restaurants, bars, etc. Stay in San Telmo. Staff were terrible. Rude and had friends around at night for drinks, making a lot of noise until after midnight. Kitchen has no cooking or cleaning utensils and labelled food was taken from fridge.
We booked this room late at night because our other hotel sold out and failed to tell us that they didn't have room for us, anyways this place was great, big rooms, Fancy shower with hot water, it was very good for the money, doesn't look like much outside but it's very nice inside. We enjoyed it. The location is also good!
No heater, traveling off season this is a necessity, there was no cover on the window so it was very bright and very loud at night, I woke up at least 4 times due to cars and people outside even though we were 3 stories up.
Truly is a backpackers hotel & Value for money. Has all the basics and is clean and spacious. Breakfast is also simple - coffee & sweet croissants, but tasty and enough to get your day started
The wifi is very intermittent and there are no closed "chill" areas. It is all open so rather cold in winter. Quite noisy if you facing the street and door bell rings through the whole hotel no matter what time of day
Location was satisfied
Everything went well until we should leave. We booked a taxi to eze airport with their front desk, and the guy said it should be 200 pesos for two people. However the driver asked for 500 pesos! I gave 350, saying I'm not going to pay that much. I understood this kind of situation would happen if we called a taxi at street, but it was totally different if we booked with a front desk.
Location is excellent, near the Avenida 9 de Julio and Av de Mayo. Its a safe area to choice! The hostel is a historical building, inside the building is warm n lovely, and offer the comfortable public spaces each floor, simple argentina breakfast, good price for value.
the kitchen is poor!!
Courtyard area was pretty and location was good for getting to the main tourist areas of the city. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were helpful and friendly. Overall a good value hostel and we enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast was basic but did the job. Wifi temperamental. Room a bit chilly and damp from the steam from the wet room.
Price, Location, close to public transport. Spacious room
No heat in the room. No shower curtain An elevator is being installed, but for the time being I had a room on the third level, by stairs
Good location in the center of Buenos Aires! Rooms are cleaned everyday and the hotel look very modern. There are also metro stations nearby.
Breakfast is a little poor.
Modern private rooms, spacious, with table and wardrobe. Good location. Breakfast was only medialunas and coffee, but it was really tasty (ok for a hostel).
Wi-fi was terrible, working only 10% of the time. The bathroom had a bad smell on first day, but they cleaned it after.
The location was very good. Nothing more.
The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. The room was unbelievably noisy from the traffic outside because the window was rubbish and even worse, it was freezing cold the whole time I was there. Do not use this hotel if it is winter or anything but hot outside. The breakfast was not breakfast, it was just bad coffee, tea and croissants. I would never stay there again if it was free. A very un-enjoyable experience all-round.
The location is near to monumentals.
The breakfast is just coffe and milk and mezzaluna and the cleanleness is not so good.
Spacious room. Possibly the best hotel bathroom we had in Argentina. Good restaurant across the street. great location for us---near the intersection of two major boulevards.
Elevator was not working--although carrying bags up two floors to our room was not a big issue for us. The hotel itself was quiet but there was a good deal of noise coming from somewhere else in the building.
Good location, nice staff
Wifi works sometimes, you can hear the door-bell ringing very well
Nice place, good facilities, very central
Not a very nice street to walk at night, so take a taxi!
Great location, clean room and comfortable bed. Wi-fi good. Breakfast is only tea and croissant.
No equipment in the kitchen.
We got a room directly above the dining room so the Wi-Fi was excellent. The hostel is extremely well located and surrounded by many eat outs.
Hardly anyone spoke english, but this was a general observation in Argentina. The breakfast was basically just croissants and coffee/tea, that was unfortunate :(
Friendly staff, nice room, quirky looking hostel.
The location of the hotel is very good, quite close to many of the popular central attractions such as the Casa Rosada, El Parlamento or El Obelisco. Theres are also plenty of restaurants around. A kitchen is also available in case you want to plcook your own food.
My room was on the 4th floor and I was carrying a quite big suitcase. There was not any lift and that was very annoying actually. The wifi signal was not good on the 4th floor, though it was acceptable on the rest. The breakfast which is inclusive means just coffee and plain croissants.
+ good location + private bathroom in double room + low price
- not very helpfull staff - no atmospheare - good place to sleep and go away
The room was brilliant. Nice location also
the kitchen needs a cleaner, some proper utensils also. The male receptionist is totally unhelpful and very unpleasant to deal with. He is fluent in English but seems to prefer to remain completely silent.
