Views from our room on the top floor were amazing, worth the stair climb. Quiet street close to main street. Rooms were warm and comfortable. Staff were friendly and gave us space. I'd stay there again.

Shower head needs replacing, they requested to use water sparingly but the shower head wasted a lot of water.

Messages need to be given to client. Messages not passed on. Too many rules regarding what you can not do.

It was a very comfortable and clean accommodation. The staff were ready to help if you needed and it is only 3 blocks from the main street, St. Martin. There is a very comfortable and bright sitting and dining area.

Very helpful owner and great tips for excursions, dining and what to do. Was about a 20 min walk into the center, but that isn't too bad.

I was under the main entrance and breakfast area and as soon as people walked in, my ceiling was very noisy.

It was fine. A lot of complaints on here, but really, Ushuaia is expensive in high season, and if you're going there to pay $5000+ pp for an Antarctic cruise, perhaps spend $200+ on a hotel room so you don't have to complain about the $130 you paid for this Hosteria. The staff was nice, bed was fine. Bathroom is a bit aged, but still clean and functional. Common area was nice. Breakfast was standard for Argentina (Toast, ham, cheese, Mediolunas, juice, coffee).

On the last day of my stay in this hotel, the staff replaced my room at the worst, without my consent.

Hosteria Foike is beutifully designed and feels luxurious. The bed was super comfortable and the place was so quiet, I slept there really good.

That it was little bit too pricey for longer stays..

    Lovely view from superior room

Despite being advised in advance 2 of the guests had coeliac disease, no attempt was made to provide some gluten-free alternative eg bread, cereal or crisp breads at breakfast. We had to provide our own.

Staff were absolutely fabulous! Friendly, accommodating, they even arranged my airport transfer at no additioal cost. Nice location - quiet street away from the busy centre, but still within a 10-15min walk of downtown. Climbing the hill was not an issue.

Very helpful owners, who provided a lot of great local information. It's a nice pension-style facility. Only problem was inadequate hot water.

Staff was very friendly and there was an extremely friendly dog. Our room was nice and clean. Breakfast is fine. The building is charming.

    1. They offer free tranfer in and sent us an email asking when we are coming. But no one came to pick up us and no any apologies were given. 2. Location is on a hill and way back from a town will not be easy. 3. Terrible internet connection. Wifi worked for 5 minutes and dissapear. In any cafe or restaurant in the city everything was good with internet. We stayed 4 nights ant the owner didn`t fix that problem. 4. One day there wasn`t water at all!! No hot water, no cold water! No any water! For morning shower and toilet staff gave us two 1.5l bottles and no any solution were suggested. At the evening they brought us bucket of water for toilet. At checkout we got discount for 350 pesos (total amount for 4 nights was 3532 pesos)

Small hostel which initially seemed to offer what we needed

There was no water in our room from late the first evening meaning no flushing toilet and no shower - and no public facilities. The staff did not care and made no effort to remedy. They offered only $10 discount on the room charging us 900 pesos

The view from the room was great. The room itself was very nice and comfortable. We looked out at the water and mountains was great to wake up to the view in the morning. The staff were friendly, but I think our lack of Spanish and their lack of English made a couple of things difficult.

The wifi never really worked for our entire time there. The staff told us they had a problem with it, but there was no effort to fix it. We had just came back from Antarctica and had several things we needed to submit and check on for work. We had to walk down to a cafe (15-20 min walk) for this. It is a bit further out from the town center. Not too far, but maybe 15 - 20 mins walk.

Hotel had good views in the main rooms and was walk-able to the main street in town. Airport pickup was appreciated.

The walls were thin, you could hear right through them. Be sure you don't get a basement room- it was pretty bad... microscopic TV, itchy comforter, and to top it off a spider in my bed and another in the tub. Just wasn't worth the money, I would upgrade to a different spot if I had to do it again.

If I recall his name (if not, my apologies), Luiz, the owner, was very helpful with practical advice which made our stay in Ushuaia that much more enjoyable. Our room was comfortable and we had a view of the Beagle Channel and of the snow-capped mountains around us.

We were not bothered, but anyone with a mobility problem should be aware that the hostelaria is up a hill and some 10 minutes walk from the town's centre.

Lovely view from the top floor room. Owner speaks english. Friendly dog. Free airport pickup.

Location uphill when you walk back from town.too pricey for the decentralized location--on 1st night we were charged usd 135 for a tiny groundfloor room.155 Usd for the rest of the days. Also owner gave only 6.14 peso exchange on payment--the rest of the town gave 7/7.50 no offer of breakfast when we left at 7.15 for our penguin island pira tour-- in other hotels in Arg, we had the meal laid out. We are vegetarians and have very small requirements. On another day, the yogurt, croissants were finished by the 1st guest and we did not get any--very tardy refill service. The next day, all 4 tables were occupied by other guests and we took our plate to the sofa. The girl at the counter did not bother to clear a table when the guest left and watched us eat uncomfortably. The shower knob comes off repeatedly no stopper for the bath tub--you can't hope to have a soak. The roof on the top floor is sloping. So the relative space available is small if you don't fancy hitting your head.

Best view from room at top facing the channel

So far to walk, and many stairs from main shopping area.. Very basic and self serve breakfast!

transportation to the hotel from the airport was included.

Very large, thick bolster pillow on the bed was uncomfortable. It would have been good to offer a normal bed pillow and the large, thick bolster pillow could have been decorative.

I booked two rooms for 2 night. First night, they gave me a room with 2 bed and 1 bath. They told me I have to move to another room because I'm the last person to book it and that's the only available room they've got. I was a bit surprised because they didn't say it on the website. Otherwise I won't stay there. Anyway, it wasn't too much hassle for me to move, so I agreed to move. When I got the new room the next day, it was a room with 2 bed and one bath ! except the layout was different. I didn't understand why they asked me to move.
