First of all, the friendliness of the owners and staff is amazing. We loved the scrambled eggs in the morning and they even offered a laundry service which we urgently needed. The owners also helped us when we had an issue with our rental car. The owners really made us feel at home and we loved the atmosphere, decor - and also the cleanliness: Our room was cleaned daily and the corridors always smelled nice. Also the other guests we met during our stay seemed mature and it was nice and quiet during the night. The room had everything we needed and was very warm and cozy and the bed super-comfy. This is really good value, would definitely recommend. Thanks again to the owners!
Staff very helpful and friendly. Hostel very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Hot water great. Breakfast very good.
No kitchen. Wi fi in the whole area is "iffy" but generally accessable in public area of hostel.
The hotel has a very warm and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was very good, the room very clean and especially the staff is so helpful and wonderful that you wish to stay longer.
Very friendly staff, hostel had a nice vibe to it, good breakfast, cosy and clean rooms, and all in a great location.
Shower could be a bit temperamental and don't expect wifi in El Chalten.
Staff didn't really speak much English.
the staff was very helpful very close too the bus station enjoyed our stay
We had a fabulous time staying at Los Nires. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location was great and we could walk to everything. Loved that we could order drinks and dinner right in our hotel. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Internet was poor.
Staff were very warm and welcoming. Did everything she could to advice us on hikes. Room was warm and very clean.
Natalia, the girl at the reception, was extremly friendly and helpful with advice on trekking etc. As we had to get up very early the day we left, she made sure that there was coffee and some bread in the morning at 6am. Location is ok, close to bus station and the main road with restaurants and shops.
We travelled off-season (May) so anything that I will mention being negative surely is because services were very limited in comparison with high-season. We chose this hosteria because of the positive comments on the warm atmosphere and breakfast. But at the end there were hardly any people. Breakfast was unlike mentionned in the comments very poor, coffee, bread and butter so not the best and healthiest condition for trekking (I was looking forward to the buffet with eggs, maybe some cereals and maybe a fruit). It was cold in the room but fortunately there were warm bed sheets. As I said I guess it's because of the season, price was reasonable for what we got.
This place is fantastic, staff are friendly, facilities well kept and comfortable. Breakfast was the best we have had, an array of hot drink options, toast, fruit and even scrambled eggs!
Wi-fi in El Chalten is really poor.
The hospitality of the owners good facilty for fair price
The owners are so friendly and so accommodating. Really bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable and happy with the rooms. This is a budget hotel but is super clean and you even get scrambled eggs along with a otherwise basic breakfast. I am sure the fresh air and long hikes helped but we all slept amazingly well here and even stayed an extra day instead of going back to el calafate. Importantly the showers are very strong and unlimited hot water too!
If I had to be super critical the coffee at breakfast wasn't the best I've had
Great place, close to train station, very clean and tidy, staff was outstanding, especially Alexandra (who spoke the most English,) she was a sweetheart. She served us breakfast early and made us a boxed lunches for the day we would be traveling all day on the bus. I would definitely stay again.
The couple running Los Nires were great! We spoke mostly with Alejandra and she could not have been more friendly and helpful- everything was "no problem" and done with a smile. Alejandra speaks great English, but also allowed us to practice our Spanish. Alejandra looked into bus tickets for us while we hiked and gave a great recommendation for a restaurant just around the corner (Taperas - or something like that- delicious!!). She also helped us out with laundry on short notice. Oh yeah and scrambled eggs made for us at breakfast! Would defo recommend this place.
The most helpful staff ensured that we made the most of El Chalten. The two young cooks (brothers) were most entertaining.
Clean and comfortable. on the main drag.
Traffic and elevator noise. An investment in double glazed windows is needed.
The staff here is great - they go out of their way to help you, greet you as you come and go, etc. One morning they didn't have eggs so the owner made us a sandwich for lunch instead! El Chalten is small, so any location is fine - everything is within 5 minutes walking from this hotel. The bagged lunches were a great value and had a lot of food. Great breakfast with eggs, which is nice before long hikes.
Like everywhere in El Chalten, the Internet was slow (no fault of the hotel), but it existed. The beds and pillows could have been a little more comfy.
Good Breakfast and very caring, helpfull staff! We enjoyed our stay there and the husband of the owner even brought us to a path when there were no more taxies..
Internet is slow, as it is everywhere in El Chalten
Clean, modern rooms. Breakfast included. Very friendly staff. Able to leave luggage behind when going for a hike.
Great staff. The wife of the owner-couple duo is very nice and helpful and speaks English well. Breakfast is ok but is basic - toast, cake, and eggs. I would have liked some cereal. Bed and bathroom are decent and clean. Would stay here again.
WiFi is EXTREMELY slow but this is the norm in El Chalten (all on satellite) so don't expect much.
good location, cozy and helpful staff
Friendly and helpful staff Good facilities Simple, but nice and clean Good value for money
A bit poor breakfast
Erverything was nice. Super people in there. Breakfast was very good (homemade bread). Lunch box is good too
Wifi was really slow. But it seems to be like that in many places of el chalten.
The lady who ran the place is super nice and charming. We came on an early bus from Calafate and without any question were led to our room to an early check in. On the last day we had a late bus and were wellcome to stay extra tome in the room and then un the hosteria. Our luandry was taken care of as well as reservation for local transport. There was a feeling that you are taken care of, with a smile and good will - giving us hot coffee filling for the hike, advising on trails, and even offering to change our room; there was no availbility for a double when we ordered, only twin, and we were offered a move once it has available, a very nice gesture since it meant cleaning and changing linen only for one more day. Highly recomanded.
