It is a nice old hotel. I have stayed in the Intercontinental Mendoza which is superb. I was expecting something similar. The staff is very nice. The breakfast also very good. The location is not so nice but consider that taxis are very cheap so distance is not a matter of concern. I guess the overall economic situation in Argentina can be seen manifested in the way hotels manage the maintanence. For example, every night around 12 o'clock electricity would shut down. At least in the rooms. The blocks around the hotel are all graffity painted and the neighbourhood doesnt invite you to go out at night walking. I think Recoleta is the best zone to stay in, as a tourist of course.

The carpet of the room was dirty and with stains. On Saturday gym and pool close at 8.30 PM.

Excellent location. Good A good standard hotel without being outstanding. However after a mugging attempt and how clothes were dirtied they quickly agreed to have our clothes dry cleaned without charge. They also provided a free bottle of red wine as a gesture. The staff were efficient but it did have the feel of a business persons hotel.

    a rather prim formality.
