relaxing after visit the falls
Nice rooms made of natural materials in a rain forest environment.
3 days of bliss! The Lodge oozes character - no bland chain product here! We enjoyed a well appointed cabin with all necessary facilities - a lovely swimming pool, a spacious dining room with an excellent, wide ranging menu. Helpful, friendly staff who made sure there was someone who could speak english for us when needed. Oh, to be able to visit again - frequently!
The rooms were huge, bed comfy, and dinner was delicious.
We asked the guy at the front desk to call a masseuse for us and we waited 2 hours and then left for dinner. We asked if he forgot to call and he said he just forgot to tell us that the masseuse could not make it in so we wasted 2 hours just waiting for nothing.
Place -it was in jungle, but no to far to city. Good with bus 100 m, also with taxi. Good place to visit waterfalls. Pool is amazing , but with cold water. Wifi.
Hotel is very quit, but noisy in the night from jungle. Rooms are dark, cold and wet. Breakfest poor. No information about hotel, town, waterfalls etc. in room and reception.
Location. The feeling of being inside the forests. How it all felt natural. The pathways and other parts of the hotel.
The restaurant was too expensive for the quality of the food. The servers did not speak English. The wifi operated fine in the lobby, but not in the room.
setting, location, staff, cleanliness.
computer and keyboard should be better.
The staff, especially the front desk people were the best! They were considerate, helpful and eager to please
The room smelled of bug spray; it was old and the sheets had a bad smell to them as well. Because you are in a jungle setting, opening up the deck door didn't seem like a great option as there was foliage everywhere. The breakfast, which was included in our price category was only so-so. Our travelmates we're always there at 7 am when they opened and said the eggs were never out until later. Fruit options were good; pastries fair; coffee sometimes reheated!! Distance from the Falls and town meant taxis everywhere which wasn't expensive but accumulatively added to the cost of staying outside of the park. Sorry, we will not be back and cannot recommend anyone stay at this lodge.
The Hotel was overbooked when we arrived and instead of a jungle retreat we were moved to down town hotel, They tried to fool is by saying that because of rain our room was destroyed, while walking through the property I was not able to see any damaged buildings... I also had to Pay for the hotel despite the fact i stayed somewhere else (where it. was cheaper?)... i lost half a day of my holliday because of that hustle and it was not possible to visit the waterfalls on the day of arrival anymore. My conclusion: the hotel spoiled my trip to Iguazu.
Beautiful setting also the food is excellent and great value for money.
The excellent location inside the Jungle. Amazing place!
Very nice atmosphere, rooms feel like being "in the jungle". We were upgraded to a better room than we had booked.
Shower didn't have hot water and wasn't fixed after we called to have it fixed. The room was cold during the night and we couldn't do anything about it.
Very nice place in the nature and helpfull staff
The rooms need a renovation - a lot of things broken or dirty
Very nice hotel with excellent service, also offer taxi booking service. Food is great with acceptable price.
Wifi didn't work well but it's understandable coz we were in the forest, weren't we?
Receptionists were very helpfull, they gave us valuable advices to organise our day, visits, restaurants suggestions, etc...
The concept. It looks like it was awesome when it first opened but has slipped in maintenance.
The bed wasn't comfortable. We had an issue with our toilet and it took a while to correct.
The concept. The rooms! The natureza.
The breakfast was simple and they don't have a parking.
Very helpful staff and generally a nice compound with good facilities
The wood decor is a bit dated
the lodge is really into a small forest we loved the pool breakfast was great with fresh orange juice
the restaurant is not very good, go in town if you have a chance
Location, exotic surrounding... True Jungle Lodge
Bathroom, power of air conditioner
It's so different and totally unique. It's a little oasis instead of an ordinary hotel. Loved the use of natural wood and the setting is very distinctive.
The hotel is located right in the middle of selva, in the Iguazu National Park. For those who enjoy exotic it is a much better option than staying in Puerto Iguazu, much closer as well. We were awed with the surrounding magnificent rainforest vegetation every time we had to walk from our cabin to the reception and out of the hotel. The hotel restaurant was also quite pleasant - breakfasts were adequate, dinners exquisite.
It didn't quite feel like staying at a 5-star hotel - the room facilities would be more appropriate for a 3 or 4-star hotel, probably due to high humidity, the materials used and the attempt of giving an ethnic touch to it, which is not bad by itself but it just didn't match the level. We made a few requests during our stay, and the staff didn't seem interested in providing good service: when we got a double bed with one blanket instead of the twin beds we had ordered, we were told that it was too late in the night (about 9 pm) for anyone to handle the mere task of brining an extra blanket. Nobody bothered to bring it at all, until we checked out. We were refused robes and slippers when we asked for them - it turned out that they were only available to guests in superior rooms (attitude inappropriate for a 5-start hotel). When checking with the reception whether the pool bar was still open in the evening, the receptionist told us categorically that it was not - yet it turned out that the facility was open and fully serviced.
Lovely wooden decor with a great jungle feeling, very friendly staff, huge room with a emperor size bed (not sure what to call a bed bigger than king size), air conditionning worked very well, even a bit too well.. Only had breakfast but that was nice too. Staff recommended the best restaurant in town Quincho del Tio Querido, indeed fantastic meat, great wine and a tango show followed by exceptional live guitarists.
The air conditionning, probably due to the size of the room, did not stop at the requested temperature and we did feel pretty cold during the night. But that is just a minor inconveniance.
Extremely helpful and nice stuff. A real feel of jungle in the hotel garden, while being conveniently located not far away from the bus stop. Nice and tasty architecture of the hotel.
The hotel rooms will require some refurbishment soon.
The way it really felts like being in the middle of the jungle, but with great comfort.
Breakfast not very good. Buffet not very special. We did not try the restaurant
