We loved El Chalten!! The hiking is incredible! And the town is adorable. Love the little local food places. Since the weather is so variable it was nice to have an extra day in our schedule to wait for a clear day for hiking. We all filled it with horse back riding, climbing and birding so no one was bore.

It’s a great place to visit.
It’s a great place to visit. Small town, with really friendly and helpful people. The WiFi here is generally quite poor so you’ll get some good time for a digital detox. The best part of this place is the different hiking treks that will lead you to amazing landscape. Highly recommend it.

This was the best place I had visited on my month long trip.
This was the best place I had visited on my month long trip. Beautiful scenery, great hiking, lots of restaurants and bars located close to wherever you stay. Many options on activities. Hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, rafting, horseback riding, and swimming.
Loved it all !!!
Very small and cozy hostel, close to some of the major trailheads but not in the center of town (not a problem as the entire length of town can be walked in ~20 mins). The people were nice, the kitchen was clean, the showers were warm, and the staff was helpful and prompt when wifi and heat went out one day. It felt more like one large house with 12 or fewer people in it which is much different than other hostels I've stayed in. Would definitely recommend it to someone visiting El Chalten for the first time!
Lovely hotel with lots of Charm. Located next to the bus station - so that is good + bad. A very ample breakfast buffet is provided with the room. Hotel also offers a nightly meal for a fee. We found the night meal to be very competitively priced and VERY good. Highly recommend. We had a very large family room (all that was available at time of booking.) If several people were traveling together - this room would work well - 3 separate bedrooms within one room.
Mainly stayed at this place to enjoy the hiking trails around El Chalten. We liked the staff, they helped us with details on doing the Fitz Roy hike.
They serve breakfast, best way to start a hike. They also sell lunch boxes that you can take for a hike. When you end your hike in the evening and come back tired, after a shower you can enjoy a cold beer that they sell at the front desk. Property is really cute and great staff.
Had a massage, which was excellent. However, the room was pretty cold... could have benefited from a space heater or warm blankets.
Hotel location was great, very close to the trails leading up to Laguna Capri, etc. We could also walk to restaurants and stores.
Room was spacious and clean. Acceptable closet space. Bathroom had shower; our kids got a room with a tub shower so facilities change room by room.
This hotel was a real gem.. Patricia and Nicholas were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were very clean. Good pressure in the shower with hot water. The location is perfect for all the hikes and to get to the bus stop. Patricia gave us a lot of useful tips during our stay and recommend some great hikes. We will certainly come and stay at this hotel when we return.
The location is very good. Staying in El Chaltén is expensive, so La Huella is a fordable option (room with private bathroom). It is not luxurious, but offers you all you need for a couple of months. Comfortable and clean room, warm water and fine heating in the room. Antonio, the owner is a lovely man always willing to help! It’s just 250 m away from the bus station.
Exceptional hotel, perfect in every way except perhaps wi fi and power/water pump that can be random, but that can happen anywhere in El Chalten! Very friendly staff and super comfortable room. Neat option for back packer cooking upstairs. Close to bus station and cafes and supermarket. Mountain views.
Would recommend to anyone.
The hosts Marcelo and Laura met me on arrival to hand over the keys and gave me a very warm welcome. Their great hospitality continued throughout, including weather and walk advice. The property is nicely positioned with great views and close to everything in El Chaltén. A very comfortable stay.
The location is on the main strip of hotels and hostels, so it’s convenient.
Rooms are tight but beds were comfortable. I had the top bunk and felt a little wobble climbing up and being on top. The washrooms are spacious, with wide shower stalls and changing area.
We had an amazing stay. Anita was so friendly and her place was the perfect base for lots of exploring in El Chalten. It’s close to the trailheads and you can see Fitzroy when the sky is clear. Cosy, comfortable, clean, hot shower, good Wi-Fi, cooking facilities
Good place for a few nights in El Chalten. Very good location close to everything. Alvaro at reception was very helpful with directions, taxi, restaurants and general information about traveling through Argentina.
The host, Fatima, was really lovely and super super helpful. She definitely made our time in El Chalten 100x better with great recommendations and information. The tiny house is comfortable and clean.
Basic chill hotel on the main drag, clean rooms, fabulous shower pressure, friendly and helpful staff, could communicate in Spanish and English, good vibe
