Mooie en ruime kamers, zeer schoon. Personeel erg vriendelijk, merendeel spreekt ook engels. Prima uitvalsplek voor de verschillende excursies in de buurt. 's Avonds is er een pendeldienst die je van en/of naar het centrum kan brengen, goed geregeld.

Helaas (zoals bij meer hotels tijdens onze trip door argentinie) probeerde het hotel bij het uitchecken nog een extra bedrag te innen ivm een 'veranderde dollarkoers' ten opzichte van toen we boekten (en betaalden, 6 maanden geleden). Hieraan niet meegewerkt, was geen probleem, maar wel erg jammer dat ze het proberen. Verder had de kok een ongeluk gehad en hebben we niet kunnen dineren, maar middels 10 minuten lopen of de shuttle kun je in het dorp prima eten.

Comfortable room with small terrace looking down to lake. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Excellent free taxi service to downtown area and back during the evening makes up for poor location on outskirts. Habitación comoda con vistas al lago y terraza. Desayuno bueno y variado. Taxi gratis por la noche al centro de El Calafate compensa la mala ubicación del hotel.

Attitude of staff. I emailed in advance to find out about transport from airport. No reply. On arrival I was told "all emails go to Buenos Aires not here, and they never reply". On departure we asked the hotel for a cab back to the airport and we were scammed. The driver put on a meter and overcharged 50% above going rate. If you go, arrange your own "remise" from town. Actitud del personal. Mandé un mail antes para preguntar cómo llegar desde el aeropuerto y no respondieron. Cuando llegamos dijieron "todos los mails llegan a la oficina de Buenos Aires y ellos nunca responden". A la salida pedimos un taxi del hotel y el taxista nos cobró 50% más del tarifa normal. Mejor llamar una remise directamente.

I liked the very nice staff and their effort to be helpful and accomodating. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I had on my 6 week trip to Argentina.

What I didn't like was the surrounding area of the hotel. It is located in an unattractive area of town. There is a lot of shanty houses and trash surrounding the hotel and it is necessary to drive into town (rather than walk). They do have a shuttle, though. Also, it would be so nice to have a soft pillow.

Efficient, excellent, friendly service; comfortable, decently sized room; huge set of bathroom amenities (even toothbrushes); very good value for money (+ a 10% discount when paying by cash - even the tours, although this may have been a mistake…).

The rooms, while decent enough, need some repair; I had serious difficulties closing the various doors. The location is hilltop, which provides for some nice (but not amazing) views, and requires a long 20 minute uphill walk along dusty roads -- not fun at all. My Macbook Air did not like one of their Wifi routers at all; but the Internet seemed pretty fast otherwise.

The breakfast was good and the location was ok. It's not worth more than $100 per night

It was hard to get a hold of the hotel before arriving to book activities. Also it was extremely hot in the rooms and our room had a sewage problem. I was very dissappointed based on the ratings.

Nice rooms. Not far from the main street. Proposes tours with hotel pickup.

WiFi not working very well. Staff is nonchalant but this is frequent in Argentina. You can here some noise from the other rooms but very soft. No real restaurant.

The staff at the hotel are fantastic. The chef produces fantastic meals at a reasonable cost. The hotel booked all our excursions at the same cost as local travel agencies.

Excellent, attentive, very helpful staff. These folks exhibit what the service industry should be. Great breakfast.

Not in the middle of downtown.Only several blocks away, but uphill, and unpaved (as many side streets are). They do offer very limited shuttle service. This place would be perfect if location was better, but it is otherwise so good that, for me at least, the enormous positives more than outweigh this.

The service was excellent and in paticular the chef produced some wonderful meals.

Although we were not concerned the location is about 10-15 minutes walk from the main strreet over some dusty roads. However all the tour and airport transfer bussses collect you from the hotel.
