La Cantera Jungle Lodge  

Αυτο που δεν μου αρεσε ηταν οτι δεν μιλουσαν Αγγλικα το προσωπικο και οτι εχουν ενα ειδικο μηχανημα να φυσουν τα φυλλα απο το πατωμα με αποτελεσμα να εχει πολυ θορυβο μεσα στην απολυτη ηρεμια μου στο ξενοδοχειο...

Really nice atmosphere, helpful staff with English speakers, delicious dinner.

Power to the room flicked on and off a couple of times. This didn't cause any problems - just a little annoying.

I was directed to this hotel by an article in the Daily Telegraph (uk newspaper) and was not disappointed. The blocks of four rooms each are hidden in the forest so it has a very "wild" feel about it. The rooms are spacious and the bed I had was huge! I thought this hotel was very good value for money (but I did book well in advance).

La Cantera does not offer transport to the main road about 1km away so unless you organise a taxi, you have to walk. This isn't a criticism as such but it's worth pointing out.

Loved everything about our stay!

this is a great and really pleasant place to stay, beautiful cabins in the jungle and nice garden with the pool, fine cuisine, professional staff and very good service, absolutely deserving the high ranking of the best place to stay in Puerto Iguazú

This place is great, highly recommended!

Most of the staff spoke english and were very helpful planning our day trip, letting us use the bikes, leaving our luggage and letting us use the facilities until 7pm departure to airport.

Was not quite as beautiful as the photos! Nice and good value but not over the top exciting.

Great location in the jungle and buildings very good integrated in nature.

Food could be better, for argentinan standards not really good value for money - like in many other places in Iguazu

The staff were extremely friendly and knew a lot about the surrounding wildlife and waterfalls. They offered good advice about how to visit the park and were always on hand to answer our questions. The room was very well appointed and clean, with an extremely comfortable bed and a lovely balcony. All in all, fantastic stay at a price that was very competitive compared to the rest of market.

Excellent luxury lodge

We loved its setting in the jungle, the walkways, the pool, the spacious rooms with screened balconies and hammocks. The staff really looked after us well and we had entertainment every night with our dinner. It is close enough to the Iguacu Falls for a 20 minute taxi or bus ride there.The food was good and we felt the value for money was excellent. There was also free wifi and use of the hotel's computer. A member of staff even lent us some money so we could go into the town to get some Argentinian money out! I would recomment this hotel very highly.

The only problem we had was that when booking a taxi to the airport, the staff assumed we meant the Argentinian airport - whereas we needed the Brazlian Foz do Iguacu airport. This resulted in us missing our flight.

Wow. This place was amazing. I loved the jungle setting. The staff were also wonderful. The dinners were great too. A simple menu with the famous meats Argentines are famous for and home made pasta. The nocchi was my favourite of all the pastas. I would most definitely stay here again. No complaints. If your looking for a quite place to stay - this is it. We drove through the city in Iguazu and were glad we did not stay in the town centre.

Lovely jungle setting just a close taxi ride from the Iguacu waterfalls. The reception staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. The rooms were lovely in a very picturesque setting which is all lit up with little coloured lights and candles in the evening. We also ate at the restaurant both evenings and the standard of food was excellent (and we have high standards!).
