Rooftop patio! Cute cats.
Need to pay in US or euros, do not get the room on the main floor - way too noisy.
The owner - Gilles has lovingly restored this beautiful building and enthusiastically shares the journey! Everything about our stay was perfect down to the last detail! The homemade yogurt, bread and jam that Gilles makes himself was such a treat. We were very lucky to be gifted with a jar of jam when we left. It made it safely back to Canada and we reflect on our wonderful stay at the Petit Palais each morning at breakfast as we eat our toast and jam! Gilles also provides many great suggestions of places to eat and sights to see!
Breakfast was excellent! Good bed, good shower!
The room was very smelly - moist of the bathroom? You couldn't open a window. Not so ideally situated. No daily change of bathtowels. We had to insist on that. Cats in the kitchen (3 of them).
Gilles and Le Petit Palais are hidden gems in BA. Starting from the location it is located on the edges of Palermo, which was a thing. Gilles is helping you whenever he can. If you want to feel home in BA than this is the place to be.
The street can be a little loud, but Gilles has solutions for that.
We loved the breakfasts - yogurt, jams, granola, pancakes, and fresh baking (bread and traditional Argentinean 'crown' pastry) all made by our host, together with scrambled eggs, orange juice, coffee and other bakery items. Also, we really liked host Gilles, who besides being a great cook, was incredibly helpful with the subway, getting tickets for a tango show, arranging taxi rides and providing city information, and had a delightful personality. His home is loaded with charm and is located centrally, within an easy walk to the subway.
Well designed home with cozy rooms and delicious breakfast. Gilles is a perfect host and has good advices and tips for BA. We had a wonderful time.
The street noice. But this is quite normal in BA. Just put the van on and relax. It really works!
Our stay at le petit palais was just perfect, so we stayed there a second time at the end of our trip. It felt like coming home :)
Very friendly and helpful owner Very good breakfast Very nice house
- beautiful house - very nice and helpful host - delicious breakfast We would definitely come to this place again
- room in Souterrain loud and dark, but still very nice
The breakfast is good, and the area around is lovely. Walking, taxis, and bus transport are all great. Gilles is a most excellent and helpful host. We had a great time.
The shutters didn't work properly, and a bit of minor attention should fix this up.
Breakfast was excellent, host Gilles is more than helpful and provides great advice, good transport connections to other parts of the city, great bed. And of course: friendly cats!
A bit of noise from the road, but this might be normal in a big city!
Good location close to cafés, buses and shopping. Excellent security. The hotel has character and is furnished with interesting pieces. A comfortable bed! Breakfast was very good. Gilles is a great host with helpful information. Niko and his taxi service were also great.Highly recommended.
Wonderful, clean, safe, well located B&B. Gilles, the owner, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Fantastic continental breakfast. Would recommend this B&B in a heartbeat!
No complaints at all!
Good location with good public transport options. Great breakfast and host, and friendly house cats. Good value for money.
Road noise but this can't be avoided in Buenos Aires just bring your ear plugs if your not use to it.
Gilles was lovely and made us feel right at home. His breakfast was delicious especially the homemade breads and scrambled eggs. He was generous with suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We were able to walk to a number of good restaurants and always felt safe.
The only negative is that the rooms were noisy, but this is quite likely true of anywhere in Buenos Aires.
They give you a Sube card and recommend the BA Como Llego app, so going around by bus and metro saved us a lot of money and was quite nice in addition. All the house is very tidy and clean.
The cleaning lady ordered our stuff based on her opinion of what the right order should be... But after mentioning it, she didn't do it again, so all was fine.
Breakfast was excellent, and the owner is very kind and helpful. The location is very good and safe. It's not too near the center or major touristic spots, but there are many bus stops nearby, and it's very easy to move around. This also means it's very quiet during the night.
Gilles is a wonderful host. He made a lovely breakfast, suggested fabulous restaurants for us and even helped hail us a cab in the pouring rain. His home baked bread was delicious!
No AC. Not a problem during our stay but could be in summer!
Breakfast Helpful owner Great furniture
It was a lovely place to stay. Gilles was very helpful in advising us what to do and where to go. Breakfast was great. A little way from the city but close to nice restaurants and taxis so cheap. Would definitely stay if we came back to BA.
Gilles is very friendly and helps with everything. Location is good.
It's a bit noisy.
Gilles was an exceptional host! He was an exceptional tour guide and hotel owner! His breakfast was fantastic along with the accommodations! We will definitely stay at the petit palais again!
A real "petit palais" with a cool and very helpful host!
Owner can provide all the help needed in great English. Place is pretty. Breakfast is the best I had in Argentine - tasty and satisfying. In Overall it is great place.
Noise. I can not explain why, but the street which seems very quiet has a lot of noise between 4 and 6 am.
