staff was very friendly, living room was cozy
- Location - Staff was friendly
- breakfast was really too simple (only coffee and old bread ...) - the bathroom, specially upstairs was really dirty and broken - the room was empty, just a bed and a chair and the sheet was dirty !
Not much..it is one of the Worst hostel we had at the moment.....and we have been traveling for 4 months in many hostels.. Only good points are the Wifi, location and friendly staff
All very very dirty ....bad smell in the rooms ...dirty sheets...awful bathrooms especiallly the one upstairs..simple, we left before taking a shower. Pay a tad more and you Will find way better standards..
Staff was helpful
There were problems with the upstairs bathroom - toilet seat missing, flushing was only for those who knew how to do it,there was no hot water... Unfortunately this one was way below the average of any other hostels we stayed in...
it's durty place, beds with dark stuff and whole smell bad, sheets smell bad it's a torture to take a shower because it's sooooo disgusting! kitchen.. the same! everythings are disgusting and durty! for the personnal, one or two of them was nice that's it!! they didn't diserve we pay this price !! they stolle us!
The room was small with nothing than a bed and a dirty fan. The mattress was in a really bad condition the room was smelly. The bathroom to share was disgusting. No toilet paper, no place to put anything, nothing got cleaned. There wasnt even enough space to sit on the toilet or to turn around in the shower and we really didn't wanted to touch the shower curtain. The place was so unhygienic that we never had the included breakfast. In the evenings there was laughter until after midnight so no sleep before. We wouldnt recommend this place at all!
There was in fact one hostel and one hotel so the room we booked was in the hotel. Everything was just excellent. The woman that work in a hotel Alicia is the greatest person who had helped us with everything we needed or asked. She is just awesome ! There live some animals too. We have very nice souvenirs about our staying in that place.
overall it was not realy clean, the breakfast ... i guess the bread was several days old as it couldn't be cut with a knife, left after one night, there more cheaper and more comftable accomondations around
very nice place, great staff, tasfully furnitured room.
The attention and kindness of the staff. The location is perfect. I really liked the service.
There was no energy (lights, tv, etc) in the first day. Not because of the hostel, but in the neighborhood. They should have an alternative for that. Like a power generator. But it's just a suggestion. I would stay there again if I went back to Buenos Aires. My suggestion is that you from booking send a person to the places before publishing in your site. I loved everything, but older European couples, for exemple, could complain because they are simple South American people and what they think is excellent must not be for people from other countries. If you need someone to do this job, just let me know :). I'll be happy to help!
I am not picky or anything and have been travelling for years, but something like this has never happened to me before. All I can say is:be warned of this place! it is rather cheap, but that is barely everything which is acceptable.Even for that amount of money you can eypect a decent amount of cleaniness and at least that you grt what you see. The pictures shown in the ad are NOT what you get! they are from the only deluxe private in the house or at least ten years old,the rest of the facilities are run down and in desperate need of maintenance and, well, everything. the location in San Telmo is good. The friendly staff tries to be helful, but be aware that without Spanish,it can be very difficult.
small and smelly room filthy mattress,half-broken bed incredibly filthy bathrooms nothing is working: toilet flush, bathroom door locks, the barbecue the breakfast is a joke: 1 glass of jam,a block of butter and dry bread for all guests. since most of the rooms have only doors and no windows, they are unbearably hot in summer.
We stayed in the Deluxe room. Staff is friendly and helpful and room is spacious, nicely furnitured and comfortable.
The bathrooms didn't have toilet paper and when I asked, they simply didn't find it. I had to use the toilet in the other floor.
Good location, more or less friendly staff.
1. Unbelievably dirty. Both the room and common areas. 2. The room had no window, and its door was opening to the common area, so at nights you could choose between noisy or stuffy AND noisy. 3. The bedsheet was not fitting the matress, so we was sleeping on the matress istself, dirty as everything else.
The location was ok.
We stayed in Mantengase's part for backpackers. It was unbelievably dirty there. I've never seen a hostel that dirty. The toilet door was dirty with poo, which was not being cleaned. I think some parts of the hostel have never ever been cleaned. The staff was not helpful - doing their best so that the problem with which you address them passes to the employee that has the next shift. We wanted to move away and get our money back, but at the reception desk everyone was telling us that they are not authorized to return us the money. I've called the owner, but all he gave me was a bunch of lies and excuses. And the thing is that as your there just for a few days, you cannot do anything. So my overall recommendation would be to avoid this place as much as you can.
The hostel is very well located, close to some important points of the city or with easy access to buses. We stayed in the double room, the decoration is nice, detailed chosen and with colors... The people that received us at the hotel treated us as their family, caring if we had everything... the breakfast was good too... the front house, where we were having the breakfast, has turtles, dogs and a funny parrot, what made the experience even better for us... I highly recommend!
