nice stay at mi casa. the owners are very helpful and friendly. It's as if you stay with family. This can also feel as if you do not have any privacy, because there are always people around. For us this wasn't a negative point but we could imagine it would be. Location is perfect, just across from the huge park for sports and relaxing. a few blocks away are many nice restaurants and cafes.
Lorena and Jorge are fantastic hosts. Its like a family house.
Really nice hosts
Very noisy and bad bed
The hosts were fantastic: friendly, helpful, and generous with their suggestions and time. The location is by a very attractive park, and a 10-15 minute walk to the restaurant district, with another 10 minutes to the official centre. It is an absolutely lovely city, and warm to hot, even in the spring. The hosts were very supportive. Some Spanish is quite important to get along. Jorge organized a day-long winery tour with a private driver at reasonable cost. EVERYTHING was set up for us!! Above and beyond the call for a bed and breakfast!
Those that seek ONLY formality between host and visitor will be startled. This is full engagement for people who want to experience Mendoza and something of Argentinian life. This is not a criticism!!
Very friendly people, nice location near to the park and good breakfast.
Hot water supply did not work. Facilities and living conditions poor.
Our hosts were very friendly and hospitable and get an A+ for their kindness.
We were there for one night passing though Mendoza. The bathroom was in disrepair, the furnishings and linens dated. It was/is however a lower cost accommodations option.
Very nice people, good breakfest compared what you normally get served in Argentina.
Take care, Mi Casa is not a hotel, it is more a hostel were you live in the house of a family. The family does not adapt their behavior to the guests, so it is extremely noisy, there are dogs barking, family member often smoke inside. Door have no felt pads so closing causes noise. The furniture is old, worn out, the blankets filthy, sanitation was leaking, almost no bulbs. Hot water in the sink was only warm.
This is not a hotel, bed & breakfast or hostel. This is a home stay where you stay with a family and it's great. Jorge and Lorena run the house and will welcome you like a family member. Jorge keeps you entertained in the evening playing on the guitar and coaching whoever is playing on the piano, Lorena will help you get organised and recommend the best places to visit in Mendoza whether its somewhere to eat or drink. She also bakes amazing pastries and beard fresh every morning for breakfast.
Jorge and Lorena are great people! They helped many times! Good hospitality and location. Near good restaurant and bars at a walking distance.
The hosts were the most friendly and hospitable we have come across. great breakfast and cuddles we felt at home
The owners were really nice people and the house was very homey. I like the old style design.
The house is a bit old
The hosts are a delightful couple, very helpful and charming Location is very good: close to the main restaurants and bar street, 15' walk from Indepencia plaza, beside a beautiful park of Mendoza Use of a separate, equipped kitchen
Wifi is just not working in one of the accommodation houses Shower pressure was poor (though that seems usual in Argentina) and floor in bedroom was not very clean
The couple that owns the place is extremely nice and we had a great time staying there. Located in a nice neighborhood close to restaurants and pubs.
Poor WiFi Problematic toilet (though it's like this all over south america)
Loren and Jorge are great hosts and make you feel at home and very welcome. They help you with every request and make you apart of their warm family.
Don't expect luxury but except a warm and welcoming home away from home
the hospitality and warmless of the owners lorena and jorge that make u feel at home
Jorge and Lorena are very friendly and welcoming. Jorge helped us with everything. They have two lovely dogs. The breakfast was prepared by Jorge in the kitchen with fresh juice.
We were in the second house across the road and to tell the truth the place needs renovation and attention. The bathroom was stinky and old, the bathroom door did not close (broken) and the room was quite worn out (looks way better on the pics than in real life). Bed with bad quality matress . No wifi in this second house.
It is like staying in with family friends with all that goes with it. Wonderful friendly hosts, always ready to help out in any way possible. The family house is spacious, and comfortable, there is a nice garden and the location is in a great neighborhood - right across the park. A very lively house with dogs and kids, and yet you don't feel crowded. If you like to meet a nice local family - a great place to stay and you will easily overlook some small maintenance dings and the lack of air-conditioning. Many thanks to our hosts Jorge and Lorena for making our stay so enjoyable!
What can I say, this is the most memorable and welcoming hotel/hotel I have ever stayed at. We were touched by the warmth of this family run place. We got all the help and information we could possible want to make our stay exceptional and ended up sharing stories over wine and beer with the family. If you are open for exchange and meeting people I highly recommend this place. If you are just looking for a room and don't want to meet anyone this is not the place for you.
Nothing I could possibly object to. Maybe it was slightly noisy in the room (road side) but our stay was so amazing, I could have done with more noise without even considering any sort of discomfort.
What a delightful place to stay. The owners have essentially opened their house up, and when you stay here, you're treated like a member of their family. The facilities are great, you use their kitchen and living room so it's all very well looked after. The rooms are nice, and everything is spotless. A truly lovely place to stay and we were sad to leave!
Wonderful warm welcoming hosts. Both Jorge & Lorena went out of their way to make our Christmas stay a memorable one. Great location handy to park & restaurants. Clean and very comfortable, plus great breakfast each morning.
I absolutely loved Mi Casa. It is just like the name says. Jorge, Lorena, and their daughter, Trinidad, are a wonderful family that are sharing their house with the guests. They are very welcoming, very helpfull, and took the extra 300 steps to help in anything we needed. I travelled with my husband, and 2 year old son, and this place was ideal. It is close to the main street where lots of things happen in the evening, and is situated right next to a huge park. The only downside is that the playgrounds we found there were pretty lame. Very poorly maintained, breaking apart, metal rides boiling from the strong sun.. I put good instead of excellent on the cleanliness only becuase they have a big german sheppard. And that means lots of hairs, especially on my son, who loves big dogs.. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back there and recommend to others!
