No own booze
Friendly staff. Night porter sorting out noisy guests
Great brakefast - very rich! The staff is very helpfull and talks fluent english The shared area as well as the rooms are lovely The atmosphere is young and fun The shared kitchen is well equiped The hostel offers wide range of activities every day.
The hostel is very strict about it´s rules and doesn´t make any exceptions , even when it is necessary. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, we stayed there in the begining of december and it was boiling hot even at nights!
Location was great for one who wants to see Buenos aires back to back as it is located in the center of BA. They had a tonnnn of activities for a backpacker to do (one that has money ofc). It had a live music act on sundays which was super engaging with the crowd! Its a perfect hostel to meet new people
Staff was a bit on a rush all the time and maybe a bit lost sometimes but I guess thats a hostel customary thing :) There was no air con or the likes in the bedrooms (and it was PRETTY hot). Bfast was a typical of a hostel: milk and cereals.
Go there for Party, beside very clean
Porn cinema in next building somtimes very loud
The location of the hostel is good. Most of the staff very nice and friendly. Bathrooms clean.
There is a cinema near the hostel that makes the costumers listen to porn all day long. That is just terrible. One member of the staff did not treat us very well which is not nice for a hostel. If you look for a double room, don't trust the picture of the website. The room is much smaller than what o you excpect.
donot book boca tour, they push you in an expensive restaurant
the hostel has excellent facilities to young peopple, informations, bar, party, tours, everything you need to be cool in BA.
- Nice people around, all time - Party everyday, many people in the two hostels, and you can come and go to parties in both hostels - Clean.
- The wristband you have to carry everywhere! Soooo bad. - People from outside cannot enter the hostel, not even paying a fee for the party! - People smoking in front of our bedroom and talking loud during the night in common areas near the bedroom
This hostel was our first port of call on our 4 month trip of south America and we are so happy we came. The staff are so helpful and informative and there are lots of great tours and activities organized by the hostel. We went on two walking tours and a tango lesson \show, all were great value for money. Room very clean and comfortable. Cannot recommend it enough!
Good location, nice room, given towels, staff friendly
Petty rules and trying to have it both ways Party hostel but not allowed drink anywhere except the bar - no good if you just want a drink without having to listen to questionable music. This place is great for the dependent traveller who needs very thing doing for them.
I travelled with my girlfriend. We found the hostel to be a highlight of BA. From the approachableness of the staff to the activities organised. I especially liked the tango experience. Great evening out for a super price. All in all a definite on my list
There's always something nice to do, day or night. The staff is lovely.
Great place to meet other world travelers, with many activities planned every day.
Bad wi-fi connection and not enough hot water at times
The building is kept in good condition. The courtyard area is very pretty. The dorm rooms are pretty standard in terms of hostels, though the balconies were a nice touch. The atmosphere is very open and the staff is always open to help you find an activity for the day.
The food in the hostel is not very good, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
My experienc in milhouse hipo has been amazing. Making great friends thanks to the activities, from the walking tours to the parties in hipo and avenue. The staff was really great and helpful. Always smiling and talkative. They are super nice since the very first moment One advice, take into account that this is a hostel for meeting people and have fun. If you want to relax and sleep... not the place. But the first day I arrived I went with 14 people to a stake house dinner... and that does not happen in other hostels
The wifi was quite weak, wifi should be improved
Spacious rooms, party events every night, organised group tours, spacious room with big sized locker, good quality comfortable mattress, clean toilet and shower facilities, food downstairs at the bar
The loud noise from bar every night until 2:30am, lack of a Quiet Zone (that other party hostels have), WiFi only present on ground floor and not available at the room - a big minus, bad insulation in the room
Great location, great party hostel
Very helpful staff,lots going on
Very cold rooms, draught Windows. The room was opposite a loud club that was open until 7am
Lots of activities advertised daily. Really sociable hostel. Good cocktail list at the bar.
If they have too many people signed up to go to the club, they don't tell you but they superate the buses so some people get taken to a god awful teen disco alternative. The (loud) dirty cinema next door meant you never felt alone when in the showers. Not enough working plug sockets in the dorm rooms.
Brilliant hostel with everything you need for a great stay in Buenos Aires! Clean, safe, organised, social, friendly, and very comfortable. Breakfast really good too!
O liked the night parties
I cannot say ENOUGH about the staff at Milhouse. Everyone was fantastic--and I mean everyone. Vanessa checked me in, so I have a sweet-spot for her in my heart. But really, all of the other girls and guys made me feel welcome and were very accommodating. The airline lost my bag and the staff called them for me, and had a "bag watch" going while I was out with my new friends. It was fantastic. I had a private double room, and it was just as nice as some of the hotels I had stayed in during my journey. The wi-fi in the living areas was decent. The walking tours and other events the hostel arranged were perfect. When I was there we saw River Plate win the football championship--the hostel arranged this and kept us together and safe. Again, I loved this place! I met people from all over the world and had a great time!
There wasn't anything I "didn't like" necessarily because I went in having an open mind. HOWEVER, I could make two suggestions. 1) This is an old building with a beautiful stone inner courtyard. This courtyard is where the designated smoking area is...and because of the combination of social smoking and STONE it makes the courtyard VERY loud. I would suggest making the smoking area the very top guest floor, or outside the front only. 2) The second suggestion would be to not let guests smoke inside during the parties at night. I first saw a few folks smoking and figured they were just disregarding the fact we were inside, but then I saw staff watch kids light-up and no one said anything. I figured it was allowed--which is weird because this is the same location that becomes the breakfast area in the morning.
Great staff, good tours, located close to everything needed. Great place for parties and meeting people
One card per room. Not a lot of bathrooms. Nowhere to self wash/dry clothes Don't expect to get any sleep here, it's always crazy!
