눇Our stay was excellent, but we made a reservation for two nights at Hotel Napoleon in Buenos Aires. My wife and I are backpacking around South America (a lot of hostels and sleeping overnight on buses), but wanted to stay some place special (we splurged, spending more than we would've in a hostel) for our two nights in Buenos Aires. A chance to unpack our clothes, settle into a place, and enjoy the room as well as the city. However upon our arrival to Hotel Napoleon, we were told that the booking website we used made an error and we would be staying at a nearby hotel for the first night and returning to Hotel Napoleon for the second night. The hotel we were given for the first night appeared to be much less updated, and we had two twin beds instead of the double bed, no shower curtain, and only bread for breakfast, compared to the variety of options available at the place we had paid to be at. Additionally, the hotel was cheaper, so the Hotel Napoleon made money off of us, and refused to give us a discount, saying it wasn't their fault. However, I contacted the booking website and they did not even know of the problem, which leads me to believe that Napoleon Hotel gave our room to someone else and made $ off of us.
