Quiet clean room. Internet was functioning well. Breakfast excellent. Hotel situates near all the metro stations.
Dark interior. Swimming pool small and in the other tower.
Nice place, great location and very close to the city center. The staff was ver kind and helpful, everything was perfectly organized and clean.
I did not like that the NH hotel City & Tower is indeed made by two hotels, NH City and NH Tower. According to the room (and price), you end up in either one, but they are sold together, with the nicer one (NH Tower) upfront. NH City is still very nice (a little bit dated, but nevertheless I am quite happy with it), but I do not see the need to avoid stating clearly the difference.
Efficient check in, attentive bartender, easy access to Puerto Madero, Obelisco and other central attractions.
No food after 11pm, even though they claim 24-hr service. Fruit juice in breakfast was not natural. Not centrally managed: Booking did not indicate I needed to go to a specific counter, so I just entered the main lobby but I was told my booking belong in another building.
Friendly and helpful staff
Bedroom was ons the small side.
Best location for metrro. Reasonable room for desk work for conference.
Not best location for buying regular foods and water.
Clean, tidy, decent level of service
Air con too noisy to sleep with it on, lights in the room flicker in the night (to a minor level - not enough to wake you up but very strange. I was expecting a swimming pool but it is only available during the summer.
Nice hotel, beside the Convention Center, and close to the shopping area of Florida. Very close to Cabildo, Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada. Good breakfast. Nice accomodations.
Pretty speedy internet for a hotel!
The chambermaids that care to knock on your door in the evening (mostly when you already don't want to see anyone else) to ask if you need more towels, and that is after they made the bed and changed the towel in the morning (I don't shower the whole day long and one change is usually enough for a day if you don't have OCD). To put a "don't disturb sign" usually helped but I mostly forgot to put it.
It was busy at breakfast and the staff couldn't keep up with replenishing the buffet. There was no access to the roof space as it is only open a couple months of the year.
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights just before I was going to fly to Rio De Janeiro for the world cup. The hotel was impressive. The receptionist was helpful and spoke fluent English. The room was very good with a powerful shower. The location was convenient due to it being close to Av De Mayo and Av 9 De Julio.
The two disappointing things during my stay was; - the pool was not available to use on the rooftop. - there was a an extra charge for using my card to pay for the room which was not noted on booking.com. Otherwise, an all-round hotel.
The Hotel has excellent location. Within 5 minutes walk you can visit some main attractions in BA. The sfaff is also excellent, their English is not questionable.
The bath in room 1160 was damaged and not what I expect from a quality hotel. The reception staff politely apologised and changed my room.
The hotel is well located. Close to the Casa Rosada, Plaza de Mayo, Cabildo building, and walking distance to Puerto Madero. However, the área has seen better days, as a down town zone that has been replaced by newer commercial áreas, so at night there is a feeling of abandonment.
It´s not the Hotel´s fault that the street was under construction nor that there was a public demostration in the Plaza de Mayo just half a block away.
The staff was very gentle and kind. Breakfast was very good. My room was comfortable and not small (713), rooms like (212) are rather small.
I didn´t like seeing trays of room service left all night and till late in the morning on the corridor floor. That was really disgusting!!
location, staff, decent breakfast
The location is excellent, its a nice hotel.
The location is perfect for sightseeing. The hotel is just off the Plaza de Mayo - which also has access to several subway lines. The staff was very accommodating and spoke English well.
1. There is major roadwork on Bolivar street and on the adjacent sidewalk which means access for taxis and pedestrians with luggage is challenging - but possible! The location is so good that we would still highly recommend this hotel, just be prepared. 2. Upon checking in, we were told that we could save nearly 25% on our bill by paying in US dollars. Unfortunately we had not brought enough cash to take advantage of this possibility. If we had known in advance, we would have brought enough cash to do. so.
Located at the heart of Buenos Aires
Construction near by
They provided extraordinary customer service. Very accommodating and helpful. allowed us to store our luggage which helped a lot on our excursions. they had Nespresso on the premises and that was the icing on the cake for me.
The construction outside on the street made it a little inconvenient for the taxis to pick up and drop off.
breakfast with reconstituted orange juice and other low quality products very low service level for our door problem
Ett något slitet hotell
the location of the hotel, the rooms are pretty big, the hotel gave me a late check out until 4pm on the day of departure without paying extra
The hotel is located in a beautiful historical area away from the busiest streets however still close to the main arteries walking or by taxi. The pool on the rooftop with a view over the city is a pleasant compliment, not so large though and sunbeds were always full during our stay.
Even though we had booked a superior room in a 5* hotel, the staff initially gave us a room that could only belong to a cheap hostel - tiny, old, tacky, with almost no window. When reminded that there should be some mistake, we were transferred to a large and nicely designed room of proper quality for a 4* hotel with no argument whatsoever. I find this practice abusing and disrespectful. Tourists should be aware that Plaza de Mayo to which the hotel is adjacent, is the traditional vanue for all sorts of public manifestations which are plentyful. We had no negative experience during our stay though.
The staff was very helpful after we checked in. Their restaurant recommendations were great. The location is right in the heart of the city. The room was very comfortable.
Checking in took way too long, as they could not find our reservation, but we had left luggage there 2 days earlier and they had no problem finding the reservation. I had to stand in the hallway to use wifi.
The staff were attentive and the room was adequate. Because they had a large group come to the hotel we got upgraded to a better room which was much more comfortable.
The hotel is on the edge of the old district. Outside was dirty. They had days where rubbish was piled up all over the streets around the hotel and outside of it. The area is covered in graffiti and its a long way from anything interesting. There are much better locations but Argentina has problems so skip it and go to Brazil.
