NH Gran Hotel Provincial  

Our stay at the NHGP was really enjoyable. We extended our time there from a few days to a week. The room was very spacious (we had the superior extra large double...the bed was huge, maybe larger than a king). I saw the standard double and for the extra money I would upgrade to the superior. Bathroom amenities and bedroom clothing storage area were excellent. The room had incredibly high ceilings and was extra large, so with only a bed night tables, a desk and a chair, it appeared spartan, but that is only a minor detail. The location on the beach and epi center of all the town's acitivities was incredible. At about 7pm every evening there were so many street performers and it was a very exciting place to be. Beach chairs and an umbrella were included in the room price, but the cost of the outdoor ( on the beach pool) was $50 per day for an umbrella and 4 chairs and use of the pool. The inddoor pool and jacuzzi were free. The breakfast buffet for cold food was incredible, with lots of fruits, cereals, pastries, juices, toasts, cheese and meat. The hot items were bacon and eggs. Coffee service was excellent as well. We did not have any other meals at the hotel so I cannot comment on that, but we were within walking distance to a myriad of restaurants at all price levels. I know that there were a number of comments on several web sites about this hotel being deserted. But when we were there at the beginning of February..the high season, the hotel breakfast room was full every morning, though not overly crowded, the elevators busy, and lots of evidence of people in the hotel. I could imagine that in low season, the hotel would seem emply because the lobby is cavernous and the hallways and common areas are the most spacious that I have seen anywhere in the world.

Spacious bedroom, i would recomend upgrading to a better room. Tthe grandeur of the place, even if it's all a bit odd!

Breakfast was good prepared with fresh Raw materials but temperatura of coffee was a bit cold

Una carta muy pobre de platos no de acuerdo a un hotel de 5 estrellas

Creo que "todavia" le falta completar el mobiliario ,pero entiendo la inversion realizada en tan hermoso Hotel y tan tradicional.Tuve la suerte de vivir en el ya que mi padre fue gerente general en el año 1961 con el sr.Donofrio.Nuestro departamento estaba en el 2do.piso y lo he visitado en esta estadia.En los pasillos andabamos en bicicleta !....y desde el comedor nos hacian casitas de chocolate !Esta realmente hermoso.!!!!! Es un hotel con historia pero no han logrado darle calidez eso tiene que ver con la directiva del hotel lastima parece muy frio y la zona de pileta y carpas esta descuidada sucia tiene varios empleados que no hacen nada en todo el dia., los basureros estaban lleno y hasta botellas tiradas al paso de las carpas.

El servicio de maleteros es pésimo

Las habitaciones amplias y las camas de 3 plazas. El desayuno de primer nivel y los mozos del desayuno y la cena , perfectos, siempre predispuestos y de buen humor

En una de las habitaciones había hormigas chiquitas. En la otra no andaba el teléfono , le avisé a la mucama y nunca lo cambiaron.

Han realizado una muy buena remodelación de este hotel histórico de Mar del Plata. Muy buena atención, confortable a la antigua. La pileta climatizada un poco chica.

Conexion a internet deficiente en las habitaciones.

El tamaño del hotel, su comodidad todo es amplio y bien atendido por el personal. Tranquilidad por sobre todas las cosas, areas silenciosas a diferencia de otros hoteles mas modernos.

El gimnasio y area de sauna no estan bien diseñados ni del todo equipados. Faltan detalles y comodidad para el huesped. Las puertas de acceso al hotel deberian estar todas abiertas y modernizadas ya; el personal (del hotel y policias-seguridad) no se tendria que parar tanto a charlar justo en ellas ya que nunca se puede salir ni entrar en paz ni rapido, hay que pedir permiso y esperar a que a uno lo escuchen!
