눉The check in experience was very bad. I had purchased (payed in total) three rooms but something was wrong with the booking of the one under my name. The front desk woman (Wednesday Nov 20th, around 23:00 ART) had a very bad attitude. I've traveled enough to have had problems with my reservations before, but until this time, I was used to the hotel's staff being helpful about it. I travel frequently with my family and as the penthouse rooms seemed nice on the web site, I planned to check the hotel on this solo visit to see if it would be nice for our next family visit to Buenos Aires. This lady helped me decide against it, and next time, I'll once again go with my family to the Alvear Art Hotel, which is also conveniently located (just a few blocks from this one) but has much better service.
Internet was available, but you had to enter a code, and it limited you to 3 concurrent devices. In 2015 and for a 5 star hotel, this seems backwards. Normally hotels just give me a wifi password, or the network is open.
The room was correct, in fact, it was comfortable enough to work from there, but it needed maintenance (for example, the cold water handle fell twice).
눇The location is quite good.
I stayed there as I was attending and presenting at a conference on the same hotel. I had to make frequent trips back to the room to work on presentations with colleagues, and the cleaning staff was very flexible, letting me get into the room before it was complete when needed.
