-view from the hotel room -breakfast
-location (it's about 15-20 minutes walk from the city center)
Super comfortable and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is the best we have had on the trip! Sauna is great too.
The hotel is very nice and clean. You are in the city centre 'with a few euro taxi.
Breakfast is not to be improved 'absolutely appropriate for such a hotel.
- O hotel apresenta um visual bem clássico, enfatizando sua característica de luxo e sofisticação - The hotel presents a nice luxury atmosphere, with confort and great decoration pattern.
- A recepção do hotel deixa um pouco a desejar, principalmente pela baixa quantidade de funcionários - The reception could be better, mainly because there´s no considerable staff taking account the size of the hotel - O hotel é um pouco afastado do centro de Calafate (cerca de 15 min a pé). O que torna a locomoção dedicada a caminhadas (durante a oite o frio é grande) ou taxis, para quem não está com automóvel. - The building is a little bit far from the Calafate downtown (about 15 min of going on foot). This, makes the locomotion (mainly at night, which is very cold) a problem for those who hasn´t rent/have a car.
Without doubt the worst hotel we have stayed in during our extensive trip to Latin America. The hotel reneged on the price agreed on Bookings.com because we were travelling with our two young children. We had booked a room with two double beds, but were then informed we would be subject to a higher "family plan" tariff as we were a party of four. This is in spite of the fact there was no additional bedding for our children, no extra towels and in fact no additional services whatsoever. We arrived very late at night after a 8 hour drive to be met by the rudest staff member I have ever encountered in my life. Rather than helping us to get our exhausted children into bed, she simply insisted that I signed the credit card slip for the additional charges there and then. She was unable to clarify what "additional services" my children would be using during their stay and claimed she did not have any authority to use her own judgment to resolve the situation. When we were finally given the key to our room we found a safe with no door, a locked mini bar, non-existent WiFi and a broken television. When they eventually found a key to open the mini bar we discovered it was half empty and still contained opened bottles that had obviously been consumed by the previous guests. We then had a visit from maintenance to fit a door to the safe - just a shame it was past midnight and he forgot to knock, disturbing my two naked children while they took a bath. Breakfast the following morning was an absolute joke - the most pitiful spread I have ever seen and table after table of dirty plates that had still to be cleared from earlier in the morning. My contract stated check out was between 12:00 and 18:00 but when we went to leave the (new) receptionist threatened to charge an additional USD 50 for being 30 minutes beyond midday. He then began waving the now infamous credit card slip under my nose.
the facilities and decoration of the hotel is luxurious
location is a bit far from downtown
Really nice big bed in the room and spacious. There was a nice view from the room and the food in the restaurant was good too. The staff were very helpful and it was free to send postcards which was great.
The swimming pool needs to be refurbished as some of the tiles are missing on he bottom and it is a little sharp on the feet. The bar was not open during dinner time which was a little annoying when we wanted a drink.
Location, swimming pool
Breakfast service was poor and the level of service lacking. Insufficient numbers of staff to deal with the rush of people in a group all eating together. The bowl for fruit salad was too small to cope with the numbers of guests and the bowl had more liquid in it than fruit so consequently kept being emptied. The hot water for tea making was not hot enough.
Place was very very clean.
Wifi was terrible.
We got an upgrade to a suite on arrival which at least meant we had a great view.
Kitsch decor might have been acceptable if the hotel was not so badly run, with poor service, terrible maintenance and questionable cleanliness. The hotel has a filthy overheated pool that I would not recommend using. There is very poor internet in the lobby but none in the bedrooms as promised by the web site. The location is 15 minutes outside town, up a steep hill and not 'Central' as advertised. Dreadful place.
the bed, the location, it has a very good price for the kind of hotel it is comparing to other hotels in calafate
i took a massage which wasn't any good and was quite expensive
Rude staff , no internet ( it doesn't work eve though they advertise as free internet) horrible food and way outside the town
nice bathroom, large room
buffet breakfast was poor
