Score from 59 reviews Excellent
Located inside Los Glaciares National Park and just a 10-minute drive from Viedma Lake, the hotel offers massage sessions and contemporary Patagonian décor. Free shuttles can be arranged.
Score from 141 reviews Very good
Views of the Patagonian scenery can be enjoyed right in Los Glaciares National Park. Lunajuim offers a charming common living room with a fireplace and views of the Fitz Roy mountain and Torre hill.
Score from 90 reviews Excellent
Cooking facilities, proximity to walking trails and views from cabin window. Good heating and hot water. Good breakfast cake! Fresh breakfasts, staff helpful for walk options.
Wifi so slow as to be very unreliable (this seems to be town problem). Cabin was very creaky. Be careful! No credit card facilities and cash hard to get and very expensive to withdrawin town. Cabin a bit cramped for 3 adults.
A variety in breakfast
Staff would not accomodate a request for a vegetarian food requirement
Modern clean room, nice bathroom. Really nice helpful staff.
Average breakfast, bad sound proofing, mattress was a little too hard. Poor Internet is not isolated to P. Barranco it is an El Chalten wide issue...like the fact barely anywhere takes card, tax avoidance??
The cabin we stayed in definitely needs renovation and better cleaning. The boiler is pretty noisy, the entrance door as well as the door to the bathroom could not be latched. There is only one opening window in the cabin, thus it's pretty hot on sunny days. Kitchenware is pretty basic, stove needs to be fixed. Stairwell to the upper floor is unsafe as it's pretty seep and there's no handrail. Power blackouts are common in the area in nasty weather.
Good Location, friendly personel
Beds are lousy, no Table, no Chair, no Fridge, expensive for the Price (100 $ US)!!
Everything, starting with the staff, and concluding with the shower was excellent.
The WiFi connection was less than poor. However, this may be a Chalten problem. No bidet (The only place in Argentina)
The bungalow was very comfortable and well equipped. Clean and good hospitality.
Wifi and land-line phone only in reception.
having a place to cook our own meals.
be aware that they do not take credit cards and that it is very difficult to get cash in el chalten. BRING CASH TO PAY!
The room are nice, clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is good, close to main street and to the beginning of the hiking trails. The breakfast is simple but all right! I would recommend this place
In the overall, noise isolation is pretty bad as you can hear everything from your neighbor!
This is a very nice place to stay in El Chalten. Close to good restaurants and the start of the main walking tracks. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
The wifi is so slow that it isn't really usable. You can only pay in cash, which can be hard to come by in this part of Argentina. Although I think both these issues are a problem everywhere in town.
Friendly staff Location Cleaning
Too much noise from other rooms and corridors Wi-fi is not working properly Single bed is to small Poor breakfast Too expensise
Clean rooms and hot showers.
Can't really get fresh air into the very warm rooms.
Simple but comfortable accommodations with very helpful staff in stunning setting. Small Kitchen.
Difficulty with WiFi,could not get on internet with iPad.
The apartment was very clean New utilities The staff is very friendly and helpful It was a home away from home
Very nice Cabana
Great place to stay! We stayed in a very new cabaña which was perfect for us! The kitchen and bathroom contain everything you need and the bed is nice. The owners of the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us plan our trips and made a reservation for our stay in the next hotel at our next destination. I would definitely recommend staying Posada el Barranco!
It can be a little noisy, especially when the door of the other cabaña closes.
Clean room, friendly staff
Problem with wi fi connection
Friedly and helpfull staff Good location, near the start of the trails Hot water Room was cleaned every day Cosy reception area
Doors were a bit old and noisy Lack of vegetables for breakfast (noriced that it is something typical for this part of Argentina)
Extremely noisy when the wind is blowing.
+ breakfast + close to hiking routes + helpful staff
Very friendly staff, eager to help and give advices on what to visit.
Overheated room with a window that does not open. Lack of furniture (just a bed, no chair, no table, no tv, limited place to hang clothes to air them after a hike, small bathroom). Very slow internet.
It's in a really quiet place and just a few steps from the center of the town. Plus near by to the starting points of all the hikes that we wanted to do, just a door away =D
The Pousada is really well-kept, clean, organized, with a nice library about the local wildlife and hikes, etc... The staff is really efficient and helpful. The breakfast was better than other hotels in this part of Argentina, still a little limited but really nicely presented. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
The heating system was a little too hot most of the time, without much need for it, at least the days we were there.
Staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and activities to do in Chalten.
Cleanliness could improve, e.g. floors seemd dusty all the time, bathroom no too clean.
Clean, location, and staff are very helpful.
Wifi is not connectable at all.
