We had the place to ourselves which was wonderful. Julia, the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. The place was an oasis of relaxation.

The inn's facilities and grounds were beautifully restored and maintained. Service from the staff -- Samira, Monica and Carolina -- and the owner Julia was outstanding across the board. I particularly appreciated their help with dinner and transportation arrangements as well as local winery recommendations. Breakfast was delicious and dinner is also available at the inn although we didn't dine in, although a couple of nights after large lunches, we enjoyed wine and snacks for our dinner meal. The small size of the inn was also conducive to meeting other guests which added to the enjoyment of our stay there. Posada Verde Oliva was a great place for us to stay while touring the Mendoza wine country. Great for anyone who wants to stay outside of the city and be able to enjoy easy access to the Maipu area wineries. The Lujan de Cuyo area is also easily accessible via car from the inn.

There is a bit of traffic noise from the adjacent street which we noticed during the day but never bothered me at night. You can walk from the inn to a local restaurant or to the local wine museum but you must be careful about the traffic.

There are presently only four rooms, so the place is very quiet and family- like. Julia helped command a car to drive us to Santiago, which turned out to be more difficult than we expected with the road closed the night before our departure due to snow. The owner Julia and her staff were extremely helpful during all this. Dinner must be reserved and is good, solid fare. They produce an excellent Malbec wine at the site.

Some noise from the road was not a real issue. The internet connection however is week om most places. Julia is aware of the need to do something about this. Until then, stay close to the small office and you will get online.

Great stay, we liked it so much we had already booked to return before we left. Beautiful setting and the staff were amazingly helpful. You can be as active as you like or laze by the pool & drink some of the regions famous wine.

Can't fault it

We cannot say enough great things about the Posada. Samira & Karen did so much for us before we even arrived, getting us tickets for Vendemia and arranging for car pick up at the airport. The property itself is gorgeous. Beautifully designed with lovely rooms. The owner, Julia, made a point of introducing herself to all her guests and checked with us throughout the stay to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We had dinner there the first night and it was fabulous. Monica served us marvellous breakfasts. This property spoiled us and was definitely the best of our entire trip.

Julia Moreno and her staff made every effort to attend to our needs. They made dining and winery reservations, fixed evening meals on request, gave advice on what to do and generally took care of us as family. If you do not have a car, you will be using taxis a lot because Verde Oliva is not in walking distance of many places you will want to go. We strongly recommend Fernando Azuri who speaks excellent English and will get you to the best wineries. He is very knowledgable about the history of Mendoza, wineries and restaurants.

After spending 5 days in Mendoza and seeing the city and different surrounding regions, we definitely feel we picked the best place for our stay. As Napa vets, we were a bit surprised to see how urban and dirty most of Mendoza is but Posada Oliva is an oasis in the middle of Maipu. The property is beautiful and serene, with well-done interior and landscape details. Its very relaxing and the service is helpful and polite while giving you your space. The food was excellent, not just for breakfast but for the dinner and we ended up dining at "home" twice! The owner Julias own Malbec was some of the best we tasted during the trip as well and we bought bottles to bring home. They were extremely helpful arranging a driver for our wine tours as well and giving us tips on the area. Its also located right next to the bike rental area for the "Maipu Winery Bike Rides" that most travel guides recommend for Mendoza. Very very convenient. This is definitely the place to stay in wine country if you want vineyards, peace, and a pool.

The rooms are on the street side so can sometimes be noisy if there are cars (not always) Its at the top end of Maipu which is a bit urban. Definitely don't stay in Mendoza city. Its a city. Maipu is nice but we probably preferred the area of Lujan overall for wineries, however they are so vast, spread out, Maipu is definitely the most convenient winery area. Because of how things are so spread out and where the Posada is located, getting around can be expensive. Use a driver for the wineries but just normal cabs if you're towning it.

Beautiful Posada in Maipu the Wine Country and Olive Orchards. Julia and Monica were wonderful hostesses. Very relaxing with pool and vineyard and many birds singing. Dinner in the evening was very romantic with excellent wine from the property. It was a highlight of this trip to Argentina.

Posada Verde OIiva is located in the heart of Mendoza's wine route, it is ideal for a romantic escape from the city to enjoy the nature and the good argentinean life. The owner Julia, is very friendly and relaxed, also helped us out with restaurant recommendations and tours.

The property is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. We really enjoyed our stay. It was the last day we were in Mendoza so we decided to splurge and relax. There really isn't anything like laying out by the pool surrounded by grapevines. The house is beautiful. It's really incredible. And breakfast was served in fine china. That's a first for me. Julia and Monica were so sweet.

It was expensive, but it seems to be the going rate for something that nice in Mendoza.

Julia was accommodating, welcoming and an excellent cook. Our stay was comfortable and the hotel was beautiful.

Very loud road next to Posada, motorcycles woke me up several times during the night. But our advice is- have more local wine and sleep like a baby;)

Traumhafte Lage, exzellenter Service, liebe- und stilvoll eingerichtet - optimal, um zu entspannen, gleichzeitig aber nahe genug an Mendoza dran, um Ausflüge in die Stadt zu unternehmen.

Die Preise für die angebotenen Getränke und Speisen sind maßlos überzogen.- Wer behauptet, dass die Lage der Posada Verde Olivia sehr leise sei, kann dort nicht gewesen sein. Die 4 Appartments liegen direkt an einer stark befahrenen Straße. Ab 5 Uhr morgens donnerten LKW´s, Mofas und PKW´s "durch das Appartement. Ruhig war es nur am Pool. Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht. Das können wir beurteilen, weil wir schon mehrfach in dieser Region abgestiegen sind.

A Posada Verde Oliva, é excelente, o local realmente superou nossas expectativas, tranquilo, calmo, muito bem conservado, lindíssimo e de muito bom gosto. A Júlia e Mônica nos receberam muito bem, da para perceber um toque de cuidado e carinho com os hospedes em pequenos gestos. O café da mangã é muito bom. E quanto a localização esta situado bem próximo a diversas bodegas, da para dazer até de bicicleta. E dentro da Posada tem um Parreiral e um olival. Gostamos muito, uma pena que fica muito longe para gente voltar sempre.

El lugar es todavía mejor de lo que parecía en las fotos! Es una antigua casa del S.XIX, remodelada y muy cómoda, en un lugar tranquilo y hermoso, rodeado de viñedos. La gente del hotel está a disposición para arreglar cualquier salida, actividades, cena, etc, todo muy personalizado según las necesidades y gustos del huésped.

Die Lage: die Posada liegt in keiner besonders idyllischen Gegend, einige Zimmer gehen zu einer durchaus befahrenen Strasse. Es gibt kaum Restaurants, die zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Der offensive Versuch uns überteuerte Weintouren zu "organisieren" hat uns nicht so gefallen. Anstelle des explizit gewünschten, günstigeren öffentlichen Taxi wurde der eigene, teurere Fahrer für die Fahrt zum Flughafen bestellt.

Las instalaciones son preciosas. El servicio es fantástico, atendido directamente por la dueña. Cómodo, impecable. Bien ubicado respecto a las bodegas de Maipú, y cercano a las bodegas de otras regiones. Excelente relación precio-calidad.
