Hotel Saint George    

The hotel has large Roms and is close to the bus-terminal. Good bread and pastries.

Awful coffee and fruitjuice with a lot of water. The hotel-service is not efficient (i.e. waiting-time for towels 50 minutes).

Location was great. Very close to the bus terminals.

Staff did not provide any information about how to get to the falls when asked for a map we were given a crappy print out from the computer.

Location was excellent for a visit to Iguazu Falls. It is located in the middle of the town close to the bus station and restaurants

The first room provided to us did not match the description on booking a ( triple room with three single beds) and the bathroom leaked badly right into the entrance hall. The second room in the old section of the hotel was much better but the towels were still way too thin to provide a comfortable experience. The room amenities and breakfast options need improving for the price.

The carpet in the room needs lots of cleaning. The design of the showers lacks common sense- the water gets on the floor which become sleepery. A lot can be done to upadte the rooms to a more modern look , feel and smell.

This hotel is not a 4* by miles. We are not particularly hard to please but can safely say this hotel was the most dyer place we have ever stayed, that includes hostels and dodgy places throughout Asia. We had three rooms in two days because the first smelt really bad, musty, stale and generally unhealthy. The second room was not much better but it had a balcony so we could at least air it. Then it rained and the hole in the ceiling (there was one in each room) leaked rain water all over our bed, camera, passports and iPod. We got moved but there was no apology and it was as if they expected it. We saw a few people being shown alternative rooms and we were only there two nights. Pool was unhygienic, would never let a child swim in it. Staff were quite pleasant. We felt quite sorry for them as they must deal with lots of complaints. Will be asking for our money back as we had two really bad nights sleep because of noisy air con units and an annoying vibration all night long coming from the walls. Would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Close to two excellent Restaurants. Taxis/remis on corner easy to hire for day trps to the falls/ride to th airport, etc. The drivers all seem congenial & honest.

Unhelpful, surly front desk staff. Insisted that I pay 10 per cent more than the price booked. After 2 clerks insisted I pay more than I should have, I later asked a young man at the desk to review the arithmetic/currency conversion. He did, checked with the back office, and refunde ~125 pesos. I should not have had the hassle to get it straightened out. Another day, I asked a different clerk if he would phone a particular taxi driver for me. He tried once, got a busy signal, and said it would be "better " if I phoned from my room; meaning it would be better if I didn't bother him, and paid the exorbitant room phone charge. He also said that he could get me a taxi driver "that they trust" to take us to the Falls for 250pesos. I went tithe corner and hired a perfectly trustworthy and congenial driver for 200pesos--- the going rate. (In other words, he was looking for a kickback of 50 pesos/$10 for calling a driver.) As for the room, filthy carpet, decrepit bathroom, large beetle (roach?) under the desk one morning, fortunately with all 6 paws in the air.

This hotel is very handy for the buses to the Iguazu falls. The hotel grounds and pool are good. Rooms adequate. The catering not quite so- rather ordinary breakfast and a dinner buffet to avoid. Not dreadful , just uninspiring and plain.

The fact that you have to pay for use of the computers and then cannot print directly but have to email reception with the item as an attachment. So no confidentiality. Their town map was a rubbish photocopy.

The hotel was well situated being near restautrants, shops and the bus station. The rooms were spacious and comfortatable. Well equipped with plenty of bath towels, pool towels, hair dryer and a fridge. Didn't need to use the fridge bar. Breakfast in the Restaurant whilst plentiful, lacked imagination and after a few days became repeatative. Staff at reception were pleasant and helpful. Even arranged to telephone for the airport bus without question. There is a ramp from the street to the hotel lobby - handy if you have heavy luggage or have disability. Nice large swimming pool and a bar where you can receive waiter service. The pool was kept clean during our stay.

Although free wi-fi is advertised, it was very unrealiable both in the room and in the lobby area. Something to bear in mind if you are reliant on internet access.

The best was the pool garden with the "quincho" bar. I didn't use the spa, but the facilities in general looked great. The restaurant was spacious, overlooked the street, and the food was great -and I'm Argentinian, which gives me a more authorized voice about it! The breakfast buffet was also abundant. The location in front of the bus station and a few steps from restaurants and the town centre was a big plus!

The only negative point was that the Wi-Fi signal was not reaching my room, but you just need to go to the corridor or seat in the nice living area nearby and the problem is solved. You're on holiday anyway, right?

The pool is very big, adequate for the hotel size and surrounded by a beautiful garden. The Junior Suite is has a jacuzzi and two big beds. The staff is ok although we had some problems related with our reservation room type.

The room we booked was not available the night we arrived and we had to stay on a standard room. Run from this kind of rooms. Old furniture and noisy air conditioner. The hotel experience was saved by an employee called Valerio, who apologized for the hotel and upgraded us to a Junios Suite the next day.

Chose this hotel because of proximity of bus route to Falls. Also very conveniently positioned in terms of dining options in the town. Spacious comfortable room which was modern

great location next to bus station but quiet; ideal for getting to Iguasu Falls. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and I ate dinner at the hotel and they also had a wonderful and extensive buffet with excellent food

I liked everything

Great hotel that was nice & clean. Good location that is near town. I had originally booked the room for a double size bed. Then when I was checking in, the hotel advised me that they were going to upgrade my room which was nice of them. However, instead of a double bed, there were 3 single beds for one person. I felt like Goldilocks who had a choice of which 3 beds to sleep on. The hotel held my luggage for me which was great as my flight left late. Good selection of breakfast.

Check out time is too early - 10 am. When I reserved the hotel on booking.com, I failed to take into account the tax. Originally, the price seemed to be reasonable, however, with the high hotel tax, it was a higher price. Be aware.

The hotel is in a good location from the falls, it has a spa and an outdoor pool which we unfortunately didn't use as it was raining by the time we got to the hotel. There were many restaurants within walking distance, we only stayed one night as a stop over en route to BA. Breakfast was good buffet, good range of food, the staff at the reception was friendly. Would recommend stay at this hotel.

Courteous, helpful staff. One of the best locations in Puerto Iguazu. Excellent breakfast choices.

Hotel could use some updating to make it modern, e.g. TVs and bedroom area.

The exceptional helpful and friendly staff My wife became ill and required doctor and hospital treatment. The staff was efficient in getting us the necessary help.

Hotel is quite old style with a rather dark color scheme

Easy to take the bus to the waterfalls on both sides of the border, as the hotel is almost opposite to the bus station. Swimming pool / inner yard is nice, and breakfast very rich, especially if you have a sweet tooth. Nice restaurants with terraces and great service across the street.

The rooms are basic, I would not give many stars. Rooms facing the street get very noisy in the morning, when the buses start traffic.

It is located very close to the bus station and near the main streets in town. The employees are super friendly, the room was confortable and the breakfast excelent.

The lights in the room were poor, bad for applying make up etc. My friend went to the bar to get a drink and it took her a long time to find someone to help her.
