Hotel Saint George

I liked the location in the middle of town with easy access to transportation to the Iguazu falls (by public bus only 5 pesos=$1.25)and choice of many restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast buffet was good, so was the dinner buffet(not included). We had one of the renovated rooms and everything was working, but the carpet had a stain and the curtain was loose on one side. The air conditioner was quiet and effective.The front desk people spoke enough English but could have smiled a bit more. I would not consider it a 4 star hotel.

Birds running around and scratching on the roof all night! Our room was on third floor and fine but our son had a room on top floor and got disturbed all night long.

The hotel is right across from the bus station where you can catch a 5 peso ride to the falls. The staff is very helpful, too. There's also a Tango show in the restaurant on Thursday evenings. The food is good, but watch eating fruit at the breakfast buffet you haven't peeled yourself. My Yankee tummy, etc is still getting back to normal.

It is a bit more run down than it appears in the pictures. When I booked the hotel, it said to send a separate email if you wanted two single beds. I sent the email, but they had us down for a double bed when we arrived. They quickly resolved the problem by giving us a room with 3 single beds!

The location worked very well for us. The hotel is across the street from the bus station. We arrived by overnight bus and used local buses to get to Iguazu Falls park each day. We were able to walk to wonderful restaurants nearby for dinner. We enjoyed the lobby bar/coffee shop. Pleasant atmosphere, helpful bar tender, and a light lunch upon arrival. The desk people were very helpful, spoke some English, and helped us arrange transportation to the airport. Breakfast was a large buffet with the usual Argentine choices-rolls, cheese, meat, fruit, and even an egg dish.

We stayed on the ground floor in the older part of the hotel. Our room was quite damp and musty smelling. It was also a problem that the windows did not fully shut allowing mosquitos to enter and not being secure. If we were to stay again I would request a room in the new tower.

The location was great, right opposite bus station and taxi stand. It was also an easy walk into town. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The breakfast buffet that was included was nice, not great, but good. Families would like the pool outside, I found it a bit dirty - especially the cloudy and murky water in the jacuzzi. Large and comfortable lobby. Great location, right across the street from the bus station - where you can catch a cheap and direct bus to the Iguazu Falls. Perfect spot located near good dining options.

I thought the desk staff were not friendly or helpful and lacked knowledge about the area (where to exchange money, for example). They had a negative effect on my stay.

There were too many bugs ( ants and bees) in our room , the staff didin't seem to understand that i am allergic to bees. I speak spanish.

This hotel is overpriced for the facilities it offers. The room was furnished in a very basic way and many things did not work. The taps, for example, came off in one´s hand, and it proved impossible to get the bidet taps to work, without drenching the room. Some staff were rather aggressive about repeating how strictly they wished out to checkout precisely by 10 am, to the extent of pushing the bill under our door on the morning of departure and warning us about severe charges if we did not observe this time. Ironic, since we arrived at 12.30 and our room was not ready for us. Some of the reception staff could do with a biref spell in charm school.

We absolutely loved it!. Perfect location - right across the strett from the bus station - vey easy to get to the waterfals. The staff was nice, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, great pool, nice garden. Great channels on TV :)

Hard to tell - when you get up early in the morning and spend all your day at the waterfalls, you come back tired, fall on the bed and go to sleep :) No time to notice the bad things :)

One of the rooms had an old air conditioner so that the temperature could not be controlled. The other room was fine.
