Everything about the place - where do I start? The excellent staff, the wonderful uniqueness of the hotel, the location is perfect for all things Buenos Aires, the small breakfast room is impeccable, we couldn't complain about anything. A fantastic place to stay - a real gem in the heart of B.A. The wonderful roof top patio, the calmness and serenity of it in a bustling city and the incredible price for what you are getting!
Nothing at all!
The rooftop, the decorations, what can I say everything was perfect
the renovation was architecturally interesting and some of the staff were quite friendly and helpful
our suite had no windows to other than an open hall area. We had little room to manoeuver around our beds in the mezzanine bedroom and the sofa bed had no support under the mattress at the bottom. Most disappointing was the fact that no one pointed out to us that there was a beautiful terrace on the roof! Or a room to use below the street level. Breakfast was ok but not special. And despite advance notice of our being three women, we had our bill almost doubled by a not very accommodating woman at the desk.
the room was comfortable
Manager ignored us once we were booked out but had to wait for our taxi. No late check out was available ( they were fully booked), but we were told that we can use relaxing room downstairs untill our taxi arrived. Unfortunately quite a few people checked in early so there was not a lot of room to accomodate us and we felt in the way. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Manager could have been friendlier. Overall experience was good.
The restoration, service, location and quality of the accommodation and our overall experience were excellent. We would most definitely stay again at this oasis of quiet.
The air freshener used in preparation of the rooms felt a bit too strong for the lovely boutique rooms; however this was not in all rooms and was perhaps down to some guests unfortunately not respecting the hotels good strict No Smoking policy
Breakfast was pretty good. The style of the rooms was very nice but they were getting old. Bar next door. Heated floors & great heating overall.
Wifi kept cutting out and was unreliable. Porcelain toilet seat upstairs was broken and injured us twice by slamming down on our fingers, and the one downstairs was also unreliable. Neighbourhood is a bit dodgy (felt unsafe walking around at night). Most staff members did not smile and one seemed to ignore us altogether. Laundry was horribly expensive.
Nice location in San Telmo neighborhood, near interesting bars, restaurants and coffee places, walking distance from Avenue "9 de Julho", the metro, Casa Rosada and the chic Puerto Madero. The famous San Telmo fair that happens every sunday is basically across the street. The rooms are spacious, with a cosy and charming atmosphere; the same can be said from the hotel as a whole, and interestingly refurbished old building. Good breakfast, with wonderful "medialunas" (croissants) and "dulce de leche". They serve good filter coffee, and you can have a nespresso if you pay an extra charge.
We have a wonderful experience, but surprisingly the hotel did not give a good impression in two of the most basic aspects: towels and toilet paper. Towers were not replaced, but just removed from the room when wet, until the fourth day, when there was none left and they finally give us new towels. For a hotel of this level, I would expect towels to be replaced everyday, or whenever visibly wet. Also, they did not provide additional rolls of toilet paper: in the last day, we realize we just had a little amount of paper in one of the two bathrooms! Again, this is something we should not need to ask for. These where the only problems I saw in the hotel, and they could be very easily solved by the room maintenance service.
Cool little place in the heart of the San Telmo district. Close to cool places to eat and drink. Room was comfortable and clean. Sun deck was a nice escape, eat an empanada up there!
If your room faces the street, prepare for noisy people out having a good time Thursday night thru Saturday night. Bring your own travel adapters! No TV in the loft/sleeping area. Small bathroom/showers.
Beautiful restored historic property. Bed was really comfortable. Wifi was excellent. Atmosphere in surrounding was great, right next to the san telmo sunday markets
Excellent rooms, comfort and high quality of sleep.
Breakfast is too modest, information you can receive from staff is poor
Very good breakfast with warm sweet pastries, plenty of cereals, fruits, and some sandwich stuff as well. Fresh juice and relatively good coffee. Nicely designed room, the small spaces were well arranged. Very helpful and kind staff (with excellent English). Central location, in the middle of San Telmo, near great restaurants.
We asked for late check in, as we arrived around midnight and it was only a one-night stay - unfortunately we still had to check out before 10 am. The bathroom is designed in the way that every time one is having a shower, there is a huge puddle on the floor.
Accommodation were of most excellent service, the staff caters to the individual need's at the highest level
Great location and the apartment was spacious. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the roof top terrace due to the cold weather in June. Breakfast was very good.
There was no lift, but this was compensated for by the helpful staff who carried our bags to and from our room.
Boutique hotel with character. In an interesting and safe area of the city
This place is a real gem. It is in an old building in the heart of San Telmo with a modernist interior. My room was bi-level: living room and bathroom on the first level, bed on the second. The modernist design was striking: I photographed it out of sheer pleasure upon walking into the room. It was also very comfortable. The hotel staff was excellent: helpful and friendly. One fellow arranged a nice tour of Tigre for me. The design of the building is such that the rooms lead out into a narrow courtyard exposed to the outdoors, so when it rains, it can get slippery. Overall, very charming and memorable, and an excellent price. I will surely return should I be in Buenos Aires again.
Slippery floors in courtyard.
loved our two level room that included 2 bathrooms. Right in front of Cafe San Juan, an excellent popular pasta restaurant. Good continental breakfast!!
Excellent staff at the front desk
Housekeeping: in 4 days the towel stained from the beginning was never changed, showering in the bath tub makes it impossible not to splash water and the floor mat kept being taken away from me. Ran out of shampoo but wasn't renewed. Also, many guest slam the metals doors separating the inner courtyard to the entrance, and that makes a lot of noise for each floor.
Large, clean, and confortable rooms Modern design History of the building Friendly staff
10am checkout time (why so early?) So so breakfast
Location and room set up. Two bathroom was great idea in one room!
front desk stuffs are rude. Only Jonathan was nice and helpful. beside him, other stuffs are rude and we felt like they want to charge for everything.
Beautifully redeveloped and restored property, in a very good historic part of the city, close to restaurants and bars. Facilities were excellent.
Could do with some additional clothing storage space (drawers) if a stay of more than a few days. (assuming all rooms the same as that stayed in)
Great boutique high standing luxury hotel; intelectuel spirit, knowledge and design. With a twist of moder in a cultural and partrimonial setting. Fantastic stuff, coulter eyes and able to give the best advices for even hidden gems. Romantic rooms in a deco fancy with stile environment .. Just the best on everything ps: yummy omelette for bkfast!
Unique architecture, soaps, excellent location, history of the building. Very comfortable beds and we felt safe in this area whiel we slept.
Poor breakfast with few choices. Had to pay extra for espresso or special coffee - should be included when you are payin these rates for this hotel.
The hotel was located right next to the Sunday market. It was very close to a lot of bars and restaurants. Felt very safe as they had good security and the reception was staffed 24 hours. Would definitely go ther again.
