* View of lake/mountains (if selected) * when I was there in Oct'14, the girl at the front desk spoke great English, and was very helpful (a relief after a month in Chile) * central location
* Wifi wasn't that good in my room, which was in a corner. But I've since realized that in Argentina, the Wifi is only good near the lobby, or center. Wifi routers in Argentina def have very limited range.
The view from out room was wonderful! The free atmosphere to make own food in the basement kitchen, or to bring in a take-away and east it in the TV area was great. Our room was serviced really well each day.
The bad smell of drains in our bathroom!!!
Location is good The staff is very friendly The lobby looks good
The rooms are old and ugly. The bathroom looks bad. I only showered with sandals. It felt like the room's door can be break with a little push.
Comfy bed. Clean bathroom. Cheerful and helpful staff. Good breakfast spread. Location close to Centro Civico
Very nice and helpful staff, clean room with great view over the lake, good breakfast and good location near the city center. I recommend this Hotel!
Great location, just a few blocks from the civil center. The rooms which are not facing the main road, are quiet (we were on both sides: the others are not). Better
The hotel offered excursions which were expesive and very bad since the guide was not speaking english. E.g. we paid 115 pesos for a trip to Cerro Catedral and we could make the same with a bus for 10 only... Too much money for a 30 minute long spanish speach: Do your trips by your own!
Price was good, room had a view house keeping and staff were excellent
Wifi ok in lobby hit and miss in room. Place is just old and needs a reno
The staff was great. Assisting us with finding rental car during the busy holidays which was impossible otherwise. The new year party they throw was one of the best in Bariloche. Many people joined it while not staying in the hotel and was a good atmosphere.
The party lasted until 6am and we stayed at the first floor and couldn't get any sleep, they should have give us the option to get moved to an higher floor but they didn't. The breakfast was bad every day we either saw an empty plate of eggs or the very last pancake no matter if we got early or late. The shared kitchen was dirty as hell. They also have an hostel running and as they accepted more booking than they could serve they upgraded hostel noisy kids to our floor. What was good for those kids was bad for us. The entire floor was single big dormitory with All doors open until very late at nights and with the thin walls it wasn't something to be ignored of.
The staff was friendly. The room and bathroom were clean.
It was super noisy all night long. The staff were nice, but didn't explain the very basics like that you have to buy a bus ticket at an obscure kiosk to use the local bus. The common kitchen was a dungeon. The breakfast was uninspired.
As in most hotels/hostels in Argentina, the staff was great, very helpful and attentive. Nathalie arranged an appointment with a massage therapist as One of us arrived with trek-induced back and neck pain. The therapist was wonderful, the massage lasted an hour and cost 160 pesos. What a bargain. Breakfast was more imaginative than most--we had crepes and brownies along with the usual (not very good) white bread they have everywhere here. There were a couple of comfortable lounges on the main floor. We were on the fifth floor and had a great view, too. The bed was comfortable.
The elevator: you can barely get 2 people into it. The rooms are shabby, there was actually gum stuck on the carpet in our room. Ewwww!
