Good location, good drivers service.
The hotel is old and in bad shape and it seems they don't care at all because of their great location, the food in the restaurant is awful. Bad breakfast and very bad lunch. Definitely very expensive for what you get in accommodations.
View of falls from our balcony made our stay fantastic. Overall great hotel
Location was fantastic and saves you ~45 minutes of walking from the entrance to the trail heads. Pool and gym were very nice, restaurant was delicious.
My toilet wasn't working and they didn't fix it or move me after I asked twice. Also, not entirely the hotel's fault, but the wifi kept going out completely.
Location, location, location and view. That alone made it worth it for us: we had one night at the planet's most beautiful falls and wanted to make the most of it. No nonsense with buses from town, you walk right into the falls and jungle, and if you get the room with falls view you can enjoy the sound and view of the falls far after and before the park opens.
Because of the location and view, we don't regret this little splurge. But to call this five stars is a bit rich. We got the feeling location and view made them complacent. Basic amenities: there was no nightstand on one side of the bed (I have to put my book and remote on the floor, in. 400 dollar a night hotel?!). The television had an incomprehensible selection of channels, many of whom behind a paywall; took us twenty minutes to find out and by then we were ready for sleep. Weak shower, old blankets, toilet not cleaned well, cleaning cloth left in bath tub, etc - all way below the standards of a five star hotel costing 400 dollars a night. Very disappointed. Staff was friendly, but I never got the digital invoice I asked to be sent to my email. Again, for that price? Shameful really. But.. Location.
Being in the park trumps all. It means the trails to the falls are close, you can wear your bathing suit for the boat ride then return to your room, shower and have a glass of wine before other visitors to the park have gotten on the bus to town where the accommodation is much cheaper but hey, we're only going to visit once. This makes it special and the food is very good.
What a view!!
Location was great, hotel was very clean and comfortable. Had the best steak ever in this hotel! Food in general was excellent as were the porters, waiters and reception staff!
The waiting staff in the Lobby Bar were a bit lax, we sat for ages both nights with empty glasses without anyone coming near us, had to beckon them over in the end,
Appeared run down at the arrival. I thought I arrived at Fawlty Towers! Limited to where you can eat. and very poor service. Not 5 star hotel, four at best. Old and tied. Over priced. The staff and team need to go to their opposition hotel and see what a five star hotel is like.
As most other reviewers mentioned, this hotel is located within the park. We were able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast at 7 and be at the falls by 8 before the crowds showed up. I prearranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport and he was there even though we were delayed by an hour. The staff is very friendly and more than willing to accommodate your requests.
the price.... shame
Our stay at the resort was reduced from 2 to 1 night by flight issues. Even one night here was completely worthwhile. Sunset from the roof and sunrise from the room were spectacular. Supper on local fish was outstanding. Breakfast was excellent setting us up for a walk in the morning in almost complete privacy was magical. Cannot recommend this resort highly enough.
To be honest not much that I liked about this hotel.
Overall impression is for sure not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel and resort. There is no proper concierge who could arrange tours etc. Only 2 staff in whole reception per shift! . One restaurant and a coffee shop is not enough for such a facility. Breakfast bluffet I would say poor. No proper coffee , it tastes like a filtered one, and no body serving it to you. Location is ok if just want be isolated into the park in this hotel. The internet was extremely poor as well. Many guests from all over the world seemed quite disappointed on lobby .
The location in the park is amazing.
The dining area is very mundane although the service was excellent.
Perfect location. Very good for waterfall view. The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
The price is so expensive.
All employees very professional and friendly.
Hotel looks old, rooms very small, bathrooms outdated, internet service in rooms not working, t.v. service very poor...overpriced hotel.
Helpful excellent staff service.
It was big humidity in the room. I found there was not ventilator in the bath room. On the room wall was big mark of water leakage. Hotel needs renovation.
Great Location! Trully isnide the National Park and just a few minutes walk to the waterfalls. Helpful staff. Big variety of breakfast buffet.
Lunch & Dinner not very satisfying, nothing special and a bit "pricey". So if you want to eat something just take the bus and go to the city to walk around and find some nice place to eat.
Location is excellent
The hotel is trying their best to make everything expensive. This is the only hotel without free Wi-Fi service (yes, there is a tiny zone in the lobby with very weak free wifi); Never use USD there because the exchange rate is so ridiculous!
Facing view very wonderful moment that ever had...service is really great..
Excellent location Staff very helpful Beds good
No tea and coffee in the rooms
near the falls
Argentina side does not allow minors less than 12 to get on boats.
I read that the only thing distinguishing this hotel was its location in the park -- and that it was run down, had bad food, and had poor staff. None of that was true for my wife and me. The facilities were very well maintained, the staff very helpful, and the food at least as good as the average Buenos Aires restaurant. The main dining room is pricy, but you are "out in the jungle." And the bar food was very reasonable. And the location is, indeed, unbeatable.
The view was spectacular from our room which faced the falls. A short walk to the exhilarating experience of viewing the waterfalls from the Argentina side.
Limited restaurant facilities. Food was average. Restaurant staff was very friendly.
The location was excellent right next to the Iguaźu Falls, which were only a short walk away. As with all Sheraton's the standard of the room was high quality as were the public spaces and other facilities. We also took advantage of the room service for dinner, which again was good quality and prompt, as we had a falls view room and wanted to soak up the Iguaźu atmosphere.
You need to be prepared to pay for everything and at overpriced rates, but we were aware of that before we booked. Minor criticisms were that one of the lifts was not working and there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Additionally breakfast is not included in the relatively expensive room rate, which in less high end accommodation it is standard practice to include.
