Mattress Very few kitchen items Poorly furnished
Great location, secure and fairly functional and comfortable. Wi-Fi was good.
Bed was a bit uncomfortable, in fact a double bed consisted of two single ones put together and it was noticeable while sleeping. Pillows were too low. Check-in at 3pm is not too convenient.
Service is awful, almost rude. The wifi was extremely slow when it worked which was not always. Nobody to assist on weekends, no phone number. I would not recommend this place.
The location was very convenient, at walking distance to many sights and the metro. The security personnel at the entrance was constantly present and serviceable. Having grown up in a dense urban environment I did not find the noise-levels disturbing, but travellers used to individual or terraced housing may find it so. The studio was spacious and well-equipped, with a reliable Wi-Fi connection and a fully functional kitchen.
The shower was difficult to use, as the turn on/off cap kept falling off. My rate included breakfast at a nearby café. The venue was meant to open every morning at 8h30 am, but did so before 9h00 am. As a business traveller on a tight schedule, I found that to be somewhat of a nuisance. This was not an issue on days I was able to devote to sight-seeing, since the opening hours are well coordinated with those of most attractions and museums (i.e. rarely before 10am, or even 2pm on weekends).
No check-in desk but a notice requesting to 'register' without fault the next day between 8am to 10am at a reception located a few floors up. Nobody at the reception the next day (Saturday) until 9.30am. Coupons for breakfast at a nearby coffeshop, from 8am to 10am on week days, and starting 10am on Sundays. However, found the shop closed and was informed by neighbouring shop owner, that they dont work on Sundays.. Swimming pool looked tempting when being cleaned at 8am on Saturday (while waiting for the reception to open)... sadly, it had then been emptied by the time I came back for my afternoon swim. Requested to let the 'hotel' take a print of my credit card, in case I break something. No receipt available... but free to leave the room if I am not 'happy' (without any refund obviously).
Temporary Apartments (TA) has some 20 units in the building at 1770 Pueyrredon but they do not run the building. So, we found the building to be very well located for visiting Recoleta, BA and the surrounding area, the facilities in the building to be first class and the building staff friendly and helpful but exasperated by complaints being directed at them about the quality of TA's apartments, over which they have no control (see dislikes).
We arrived after hours, after a long trip, to find that the apartment provided by Temporary Apartments was grungy and badly maintained - the first three feet of the walls were pock-marked and streaked, the fridge hadn't been defrosted for a long time and didn't cool much, the kitchen was generally greasy, the stove was dirty, there was no coffee maker or tea towels, there was a lot of mold and rust in the bathroom, the shower diverter knob was broken and I could go on. When I went to leave, the door knob came off in my hand and it took us over ten minutes to figure out how to exit the apartment. The next morning, I went to the manager. She offered us another apartment but admitted it was probably worse than the one we were in! We managed to find another apartment in the same building with another company (night and day!) and left TA's in disgust after two days.
The place was really nice! We got an appartment at the top floor and the view was great. So nice to have a lot of space and own balcony. And when the hot hours came, we just jumped into the pool. Sweet! The location is also good, this was perfect for some nights in Buenos Aires. After traveling a month it was nice to stay at a place that felt more like home than a hotel, and I mean it in a good way.
I like the neighbourhood and the apartment building. I stayed one month so it's good to have a full working kitchen. I have used this agency many times over the years and I trust (trusted?) them.
Inconsistent staff quality/service and definition between hotel and apartment rental agency. Since the apartments are not identical, it's also inconsistent what you'll get. I had terrible WIFI and "nothing could be done" about it even though I stayed there one month.
"Very dirty" especially the floors! They were not washed much mainly just swept.Walking around in the room in bare feet for 15 minutes the souls of our feet became very dirty. The Janitor/ Building suprintendant was rude and arrogant. He spoke no english and shoved us a few times when we could'nt understand him.No people skills and zero customer service.Infact no staff spoke english except reception staff.
Nice, big comfortable rooms. All the amenities were nice, no complaints. Great location.
Staff incredibly rude and unhelpful. I had problems with all of them being invasive and not polite. One of them ("Mariano") would never greet me and would question every single guest I'd bring to the hotel even though I paid for a room for two, made my relatives feel like i was sneaking prostitutes in my room all the time. The other one made a scene in front of other guests because i left one day with a backpack and thought i was fleeing the hotel without paying even though they had my credit card details. The place was nice but for that price I'm sure you can stay a better place with people that would treat their guests with the respect they deserve. A shame. Wi-Fi and breakfast was chargeable inside the rooms.
The location is excellent, closed to Plaza Francia, metro, restaurant and shoppings. The staff is very friendly, price is great for what you get.
Spacious and in a safe neighbourhood.
Starting to show signs of age.
The location of the apartment is great: if you like walking you van visit large parts of the city from the apartment. Otherwise, the nearest subway station (subte) is not far off. Additionally, buses are going frequently. Being on the top floor, I had a great panorama view on the city, especially at night. Also, the apartment was quite spacious. Last but not least, the staff is helpful and offered service when needed.
The apartment is rather noisy, especially at night. Take your earplugs if you fancy a relatively silent bed room. Also, the apartment gets (too) warm during the day, already in spring time.
