Loved the warm greeting, coffee and orientation to the hotel and BA. The special attention from Josephina and Diego always made us feel like we we coming home. Great location.
Enjoyable walk to the metro station although a little far away.
Amazing Amazing Amazing.... Wow what a wonderful boutique hotel..After just spending 7 nights in Brazil for the world cup, this hotel was an oasis for my brother and I. The great Staff - (Josefina, Diego, Carolina) I wish I could pack them and take them back to Australia with us. Not many Australian or Overseas hotels provide this type of service (unless you pay an arm and leg). These guys go above and beyond your expectations). What I like the most is genuine care by the staff who actually enjoy talking to guests. Listen to their advice, the advice given on restaurants and places to visit was outstanding..Thank you for looking after us.. Location – Loved the location. Around the corner from amazing restaurants, bars, boutique clothing stores and clubs. A beautiful part of the world..You can get lost in the wonders of Palmero Soho but make sure you get out and see the rest of the city, we literally spend days walking around the city and surrounding suburbs and mingling with locals..If you like Brooklyn you will love Palmero Soho and Hollywood.. Hotel- A beautiful boutique hotel, well cared for and very clean..the rooms are beautiful and spacious. The bathrooms are spacious. We were in a Lux room 104 (rear room) very quiet, heat floors were lovely.. Overall I would recommend this location and hotel if you are enjoy food, wine, shopping, outstanding service by beautiful people and boutique hotel experiences..Would love to bring my family to Argentina based on my 5 day experience in BA. All the best Ray & Sokes
Very friendly & helpful staff. Great location & lovely room.
Great location, friendly helpful staff, great stay, will definitely return!!
I loved the service. This hotel provided the best service I have received at any hotel and we typically travel to destinations across the world several times a year. The staff was very accomodating and when far and beyond to ensure that transportation, dinner, and entertainment were all arranged to our liking. The first night we were set to stay at the hotel our flight got cancelled. The staff then contacted the website that we booked the hotel through to get us reimbursed for the night that we did not stay. The room was clean and beds were also very comfortable. The location is ideal for restaurants and shopping. If you are in the area, I would stay this is best hotel to stay at.
Excellent location for culture as well as shops bars restaurants
From the second we walked in the front door we were greeted warmly by Caroline and she somehow knew my name right away. It is a relatively medium sized boutique, but this still was impressive. We were invited to sit and fill out some minor entries on our registration documents while we enjoyed a complementary glass of cold, local beer. Our room was exceedingly clean, spacious and very tastefully designed. The TV had cable service that was actually better than what I have at home in terms of channel choices and appeal to a wide variety of audiences. The hotel sits on a very quiet street and is within walking distance to dozens of good restaurants and fun bars in the North Palermo and Hollywood districts. Caroline recommended several restaurants that we walked to and she was right on every time. She was also extremely helpful with a travel matter we had and she was invaluable in solving that problem very satisfactorily. Patricia was also unbelievable helpful and very knowledgeable about things to do in the area and beyond. Also, David was at the hotel for the evening hours and he went out of his way in many cases to make sure we were happy and able to do exactly what we hoped to do and see. Not only would I not hesitate to stay at The Glu again, I am already planning to stay there on my next visit to BA. When we left the hotel Patricia was very pregnant and was due to deliver any day. We send our affection and our best wishes that she gave birth to a happy, healthy baby girl last weekend. To all of the staff at The Glu, thanks for making our stay in your beautiful city very memorable and completely hassle free!
Not a thing.
We can't say enough wonderful things about The Glu experience, particularly about the daytime staff, Patricia and Caroline. They were absolutely delightful and went well beyond what you would ever expect in terms of service. We felt genuinely welcomed as family. The hotel itself was immaculate – so clean that it felt like it had opened for business only a day before. The hotel's location is excellent. We were able to get to restaurants and transportation to anywhere we wanted to go within an easy and safe walking distance. We suggest taking advantage of the rooftop terrace for cocktails at sunset. Due to our 4 a.m. flight, we had to leave the hotel at 2 a.m. They didn't even bat an eye. They arranged transportation and made sure that all of our bags were out and ready…even if we weren't! Our stay at The Glu was one of the absolute high points in a very exciting trip to Chile, Uruguay and Argentina. We will stay there again.
The staff at this hotel are exceptionally nice and extremely helpful.
Patricia, Carolina, and staff excellent service! They are just wonderful and make you feel like you are a part of their family. They couldn't do more for us, restaurant recommendations, arranged tango show with dinner, and a tour to a wonderful ranch in San Antonio, explained all of the sites to see, maps with directions provided, free water, wifi, and espresso the entire stay! Very clean and modern facility, with all of the amenities needed...fridge, t.v., bar sink, counter with barstools, well appointed room! Someone always on duty, always caring if you made it back from your day and/or night! Can't say enough about The Glu with its up beat and wonderful group of young people! Excellent, excellent, excellent, and we're glad we stayed in Palermo 5 nights before we started our cruise from Buenos Aires. It was much better than staying in the center of Buenos Aires. It was easy getting around from The Glu, there are great restaurants and bakeries, and very friendly people! Great neighborhood to explore and get in with the local people! Highly recommended! Leaving this great place, and saying goodbye to Patricia, Carolina, and all of the staff!!! There are no negatives at The Glu!
I found the level of service to be excellent. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay great. It started with good communication from original booking. We provided flight etc. and they help with arrangements of taxis etc. Our situation was unusual -our direct flight was diverted to Panama due to a sick passenger-then further delayed as we were forced to stay due to "timing out" of pilot time. We also received bogus internet charges while stuck in Panama. Unfortunately I think the stay there was avoidable -but throughout the ordeal the staff at The Glu kept in touch, rearranged the taxi. and when we got there greeted us warmly with coffee and kindness and even helped work on getting the bogus Panama charges handled. The room was modern, spacious, and immaculate. The terrace was a bonus. The location is perfect as it short walking distance to major center of activity for restaurants and shops yet on a quiet street. While BA has had some recent rap about being unsafe-we never felt that way in this neighborhood. So although the staff was a major plus -for us the rest of the experience of the hotel matched that. While there are lesser priced accommodations in the area- one really should look at the overall value as the criteria in picking a place. Should we get an opportunity to return to BA there is no question that we would stay here again. ....In case this is seen by The Glu-Thank you Patricia and Caroline for everything that made our stay so wonderful.
Location, staff, room size and amenities, cleanliness, champagne for us on honeymoon
No duvet cover
The excellent service started before our stay when we emailed questions and received very prompt replies. The staff booked a taxi to meet us at the airport and a wonderful tango dinner. They met us on arrival with a cup of coffee and made it seem as if nothing would be too much trouble. They then organized another tour for us.The hotel is very small. It was safe to walk around the area and there were plenty of local restaurants to choose from.
This didn't affect us at all but the hotel is not close to any of the usual tourist attractions and so unless you organize tours, travel might be difficult.
Our stay at the Glu was absolutely wonderful! The staff and owner were so very gracious, genuine and treated us like family versus customers. We only wish that our entire stay was at this hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Because of this stay, our overall impression of Buenos Aires was elevated. Congratulations to the Glu for outstanding hospitality in a difficult industry! Kerri from Colorado Springs, CO USA
Amazing staff, always willing to help problem solve and help you enjoy BA experience. Very comfortable room and good sound proofing so sounds from outside were minimal.
Amazing service - went way above and beyond
The owners and staff are amazing,We were sad to leave our hotel. It is perfectly situated in the heart of Palermo(Buenos Aires) . We will be back in a heart beat. Our experience was amazing.
Owners are very nice people
They no longer serve breakfast. They turned off the air conditioners when temperature was 100 F and it took hours for the room to cool. I ended up getting sick
The service was outstanding! Although there was no concierge, the front desk staff took care of everything a concierge normally would. And when it was difficult to figure out how to make a collect call to to American Express, they didn't charge me to call direct. (I had am ex.call me back but was disconnected and had to call a few times.) In fact, they went above and beyond any concierge and would give complimentary coffees any time of day or night. I loved the cafe con leche (cappuccino) and became quite addicted to them.
Although the hotel was happy to have my clothes washed and put them clean and pressed back in my room, I didn't ever see a cost. I would have liked to see what it cost before (and after) I sent them to be cleaned.
Everything, especially the staff!!!
Excellent service at all times. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Service minded staff
The breakfast was a bit basic/boring
service, kindness of staff, design, location, i just love this hotel
