Location (probably the best spot in Buenos Aires); room (a 80 m2 appartment for the prize of a hotel room). Appartment on the third floor extremely noisy due to air conditioning engines in the yard (and the road on the other side). I would advice requesting top floor, in particular if travelling in summer

The flat is very comfortable, big rooms and closet. The location is excellent: you have the Alvear Hotel at the back, supermarket on the corner, every kind of restaurants nearby. Taxis are cheap and we can go anywhere from there. It's a very old building, as the neighborhood, and we need to take it into consideration. The apartments need a new painting, and it'd be just perfect. Bathrooms were very clean, more than the rest of the flat.

Position was ideal as the locality was up market. However traffic noise was a problem as our unit did front on to the road. There were metal shutters on the outside which helped buffer some of the noise. Continental breakfast was quite good. Air conditioning was most welcome too. Unit was very spacious- we had a 2 bedroom unit and it had 2 bathrooms which is ideal when there are more than 2 people. Dressing room area was appreciated too. In all it served our needs very well. Price was very reasonable for the space we had. We would recommend to future travellers. Traffic noise and in the 2nd bedroom, the airconditioning unit rattled.

They upgraded us to a larger room. It was very spacious and very comfortable. It was overall an excellent experience and we liked it very much. The internet was often broken and there was no free WiFi in the room. The wifi was only in public areas.

This used to be an apartment building so the space available is so useful Can have daytime or dinner guests for tea etc. Rooms over the back ( garden) quieter. I would say no upgrades to halls or room furniture for over 10 years so verging on shabby. Too bad, as it is a great spot for family ( enough space, short or long stay ( cook for yourself or go out) but in bad weather or bad circumstances, could be depressing. Needs to be upgraded in decor.

This was a great find! 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, lounge and meals area. The hotel was very secure and in a safe area, only 2-3 blocks from the beautiful Recoleta Cemetery. The apartment was spacious and plenty of room for the two of us (would comfortably fit 4 adults); we had plenty of room to spread out and relax for the 5 days we were there. Would definitely return and recommend. The rooms are slightly dated, but still very clean, comfortable and in condition.

Excellent central location for city access. Polished, comfortable, well- maintained facility. But English-speakers with limited Spanish will have to hope that the most excellent 'Cinthia' is available at the front desk - others were nice and tried to be helpful, but we'd have to fall back on our tentative Spanish to communicate. (No big deal for us - still will make it our Buenos Aires hotel in the future.)

Absolutely, great for a family. The apartment that we had (7d) was fabulous. Three bedrooms, kitchen and living/dining room. Highly recommended. Very safe area and very upscale area. Great value for money. Would stay there again in a flash. No internet in apartments. You have to go in the lobby to use wifi.

The location was really great: just 3 blocks from the Recoleta cemetary, just steps from the famous Alvear st., With all its luxurious buildings, fair walking distance from Av. 9 de Julio and the Obelisque. The apartments could use some renovations, specialy with regards to the windows. The windows are really old, they don´t shut well (I.E. you can hear the noise from the street), and in some cases the windows were really rusty (mainly in the shower). We had to wait too long for breakfast (which is served to your appartment). Even when we ordered our breakfast the night before, asking to have it at 9:30 since we check out afterwards, we only got it at 10am. When we ordered it in the morning, it sometimes took them about an hour or so to deliver it to our room, unless we´re ok with having only the coffee and fruit salad, since they were lack of dishes...

Very spacious and clean accomodations and helpful staff. We were a family of 6 and it is rare to find accomodation such as this at a fairly resonable rate. Not really a complaint but internet service was spotty at best even with the modem they supplied us for use in the room.

booked a triple room and were surprised to get a 3 bedroom apartment so very spacious with old world elegance. it was very clean. breakfast served to room was adequate although small. it was varied by cake one day but usually croissants, small juice, coffee, hard french stick slices, butter, jam, cheese spread and chocolate spread. request breakfast up to half an hour before you want it. liked the laundry sink and lines. the 2 bathrooms were large. staff were polite. large kitchen with good facilities. we were on the first floor at front so close to the traffic. quite noisy at night with rubbish trucks going through and people yelling in the street. that of course has nothing to do with the quality of the hotel. virtually nobody on the hotel staff spoke more than a few words of english so it was a little hard to make yourself understood and it was hard to get any local or tourist information (but then we were in a spanish speaking country). free internet in the lobby was quite slow but at least available.

Very spacious apartment. It is clean and is in good location. Front desk has only one person who speaks English, Cynthia, but she is not reliable. I asked to change sheets twice. Both times she said yes but they were not changed. Only at the third time when I got upset, I got it changed. I asked breakfast at 11 am the day after we went to tango show, but it was brought at 8. Our sleep was broken. Then at 8:45 and 9:15 there was telephone call and at 10 someone came at our door. Every time our sleep was disturbed. I asked taxi to the airport for Friday but they thought it was for Wednesday. Our sleep was disturbed so many times. The front desk needs improvement in communications and reliability.

This is a good place to stay in a very nice area of Buenos Aires, It is not perfect, but reasonably prices and very spacious. It was good to have a kitchen, as our daughter is coeliac and she was able to make her own breakfast, and snack during the day. We stayed in 2 different apartments. The first one had noisy air conditioning and in one of the bedrooms the wallpaper was peeling. The second apartment (1c) was much better. The breakfast was OK and had reasonably drinkable coffee. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and the fruit salad was freshly made every morning. The room rate was good value and the location was excellent. The cost for having broadband in the room was a rip off and should be included in the room rate. Tips: Order your breakfast early - one day we had to wait over an hour, and the another day it never arrived!! Try to get an apartment not too high up, as the lifts are small (3 people) so sometimes it takes along time!! However these niggles are minor. Most of the staff were very friendly and spoke English. The BA tour we organised through the hotel was pretty awful - stopped at touristy shops and for some reason an awful football statdium and didn't really show you a lot of the city. Friends had used the Yellow Tour which was also mediocre, maybe there is one which is ok but we didn't find it. The lift and the long wait for breakfast.

The apartments are just great. Space everywhere, lot of confort. Excellent location in Recoleta. Friendly and efficient staff. Some apartments and rooms can be a little noisy (av. Callao is quite busy). But despite that I recomment Trianon without hesitation.

Two bedroom apartment was well appointed and spacious. Entire hotel operates at a high standard, though not pretentious. Front desk very helpful; not all speak English, but someone who can is at hand. Modern multi-story building, elevator. Located just a few blocks (5-8 minutes walk) from major downtown 'restaurant row'. Listing promised free wifi, but it wasn't actually available, at least in the apartments on 10th and 11th floors. On our first stay, front desk mentioned 'modem' but didn't make it clear that it was our answer. Second time a more in-tune young lady explained that 'modem' actually provided a RJ45 connection to the internet. The box was in fact one of those that use the power line to communicate with a 'server' and provided ~45kB/sec (~450 bps) downloads. Not blazing, but quite usable. Note that they rent the box for 30 pesos, around USD8.

Friendliness, comfort and location describe Trianon Residence Recoleta. 1) Staff was very helpful and arranged a tango show for us. 2) Apartment was spacious, well aerated with lots of light and provided all the comforts of home. 3) Apartment was centrally located which allowed us to take taxis everywhere.
