Alma Boutique-HotelHafnersteig 7, 01. Innere Stadt, 1010 Vienna (Show map) Very good, Score from 330 reviews“The room was simple and clean, with a nice modern design. The staff were very kind and helpful. The complimentary coffee/cappacino machine in the breakfast room was a wonderful feature, which I appeciated very much. A quiet, classy place. I would stay again.”

The newly opened Alma Boutique-Hotel is located in a small, quiet alley behind the bustling Schwedenplatz. Formerly known as Pension Christina, it was completely renovated and boasts modern architecture with a touch of Viennese Art Nouveau. All rooms are comfortably equipped with many amenities, including whirlpool tubs or shower, telephone with voice mail, access cards with microchip, flat screen TVs, individually adjustable air conditioning, electronic safes and a smoke detector and fire alarm. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the whirlpool on the roof terrace, with a great view of the roofs of Vienna. Its historic quarter location, only a short walk from St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Kärntner Strasse (shopping street) and the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), and the excellent public transportation connections (subway and airport bus in the immediate vicinity) make this private bed and breakfast hotel an ideal choice for tourists and business travelers alike. I liked the location in Inner Stadt. I also liked that breakfast was included. The breakfast itself was ok. The parking garage which the hotel has a deal with, is quite far from the hotel. You have to walk about 7 minutes. So good tip is to get to the hotel first; unload your luggage, get your parking "ticket" and then drive to the garage.

Hotel was within walking distance to shops and central Vienna, museums, palace, art gallerties etc. but because it was in a narrow side street, there was virtually no noise. The hotel was a boutique hotel, obviously well designed and stylish. The theme of art nouveau with a modern twist was well done and the hotel was very clean and light. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was good quality and healthy. The hotel was probably a little small with less feeling of privacy, but this is to be expected of a boutique hotel. I think I prefer something a bit bigger and with more people. I didn't like the open bathroom plan of basin and shower with just a curtain across. The toilet was separate and even though there was a heavy door for privacy, I prefer a bathroom all in one and able to close off the door for privacy.

Warm welcome - simple check in - efficient free wi-fi in the room - very clean - quiet - very well located Very small room - good for 1-2 nights max. Does not seem to have a lot of facilities in the hotel itself but many shops/restaurants around anyhow

Convenient location, easy to reach and pretty central. The hotel seems brand new, so everything is clean and immaculate. The "boutique" feature might be referred to the fact that the hotel does not have many rooms, not to its overall level, which is 3-stars in my view.

Location (centrally located and very close to the metro station), clean place (but this is normal for an Austrian hotel), modern. Very small room; innitially I had a room with a shower without door, and everybody from the building across the street could have seen me taking a shower. I asked for another room, and I received a more expensive one - the only single available (eur 97 instead of eur 79). Overall personnel was very nice and competent excepting the lady from the breakfast, who was quite rude one morning when I arrived late (exactly at 10 when breakfast was ending); she started to clear the tables; and to take the food, like I wasn't there...

Close to the airport bus station, the U-bahn station and the old town. New and clean rooms and the friendly staff. My room had the jacuzzi bath! It is located along a narrow street. Though it is quite near the U-bahn station, it may be difficult for first visitors to find it. Careful preparation with a map is recommended.

The location is great. Staff is very nice and helpfull. They were kind enough to upgrade us to a suite, as it was our honeymoon. The design is beautifull. Rooms are not as big as they appear in the pictures (but they are confortable). The shampoo, etc samples were very good but not replaced everyday, but the room is equiped with big distributors, so you never run out.

The Alma hotel is a small but perfectly formed hotel for those looking for a good quality but reasonably priced alternative to the other five star hotels that are located within the Innere Sradt of Vienna. In my opinion this hotel is better located that most of the other more expensive hotels in the area because it is right next to the U barn underground, city bike service and pick up point for the airport bus but despite this you would never know it because the hotel itself is tucked away down a discreet side street keeping noise at bay. So all in all this hotel has the best of all worlds, location, price and quality. My only gripe would be that the breakfast area is a little too small and crowded and can lead to a little bit of frustration as other guests fight to get to the food.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room, though a bit small, was clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel excellent, just a few steps from Schwedenplatz underground and though a busy square, the place was safe and quite clean. Plenty of cafes and ice cream parlours. Also it is just next to Danube Canal where boats to Bratislavia and Danube River anchor. Yet, the hotel is very quiet as it's located in a lane just off the square. The room could be a bit bigger and the toilet could be brighter as the red colour of the walls darkens the small toilet.

Nice staff (helpfull/responsive), good location, clean and nice room, good selection for breakfast. Given the space constraint, it is a little miracle. One should consider this when booking:) No spa, jacuzzi on top could be larger, no restaurant (not that one is needed given the location)

Very centrally located and connected. The cat train station is only 10- 15 minutes far away by foot, while the u1 line is at a stone's throw. Single rooms are functional but a bit small. I really liked the red tiles and walls, but there's not enough light in the bathroom.
