The nice view
Food was not very good, the room ok, but 2 not 4 stars, almost no wifi
A wonderful place to get away from everyday life. Filzmoos is an idyllic Austrian little town, and the hotel is situated above the town, you see only mountains around, very peaceful. The food is wonderful. The staff is very friendly. Definitely worth recommending.
In the winter there is high snow and the roads to the hotel are sometimes not cleaned, so you need to have chains and good winter tires. It is very nice for the atmosphere, everything white and clean and peaceful, but just be sure you have chains with you, in case you need them.
Food was Excellent and the staff were very friendly and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble.
You have to pay for WiFi
Stuff in restaurant and in reception and in whole hotel was very kind and helpfull. Hotel has a charm and a view is great.
Litle bit far from the ski slopes. wifi only in reception area. Sauna is far away from a pool.
the wellness the food the view the atmosphere
wifi connectivity poor to average, limited to hotel lobby unsuitable for parking non 4x4 cars in winter
Excellent food quality
Everything was generally good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Restaurant was great and staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Wifi was really weak. Location is quite far from the ski lifts. Saunas were a bit too tiny. Hotel seems to lack staff, sometimes you had to wait at reception until someone comes.
Nice and friendly stuff. Comfortable space to spend the time.
There is no wifi anywhere except in a certain area in the lobby. They change bedsheets once a week, very rare for a 4star hotel! There is no room service facilities There is no gym... A little bit rude owner...
Best food in Austria I have experienced so far
Weak wifi coverage in the rooms
I liked the friendly, caring service. They met my special dietary needs which are quite complicated.
Internet very weak. I needed to take care of an urgent matter...it was 4 days before the internet was strong enough to access Chrome or Safari.
* kitchen - great, especially dinners _ highly recomended! * nice, helpful staff at restaurant * we paid plus for room with view to vilage and it was really beautifull view * saunas - pitty that it was open only from 15h to 20h, we would like to spend more time
* extras for whirpool - the most expesive in our life and realy not well looking (not romantic at all) * swiming pool was free of charge, but stream was not functional * parking place - not enough * at Saturday Bar at 23h Bar was closed (should be open till 24h)
- Spa area and saunas are really nice - Service in restaurant is good
- Food is too poor for a 4 star hotel (esp. vegetarian option). Often side dishes / ingredients from the day before re-appear in main dishes on the day after. - Check-in was not very friendly
beautiful surrounding, comfortable rooms, delicious food
internet connection for a fee
Beautiful town with beautiful nature. The Hotel is situated on a hill with beautiful views. Excellent accommodation, food, staff. I'll definitely be going back there.
Bar, swimming pool, table tennis, evening meal, breakfast, reception, location
all was OK... I can recommend this hotel
You get what you pay for
We were in Alpenkrone for the 3rd time over the last 8 years. We appreciated: - fantastic 'author's' cuisine, - personal care of the owner (quality of service and guest's comfort), - location (a bit off the village center but quiet, with great views and ski-bus next to the hotel), - redecorations of rooms and common spaces, - nice and 'positive' staff (waitresses, reception, cleaning ladies), and .... (to our suprise) sunny weather :)
Nothing to dislike really. We would however like to recommend provision of wi-fi in the whole hotel incl. rooms (not only at the reception) for a full comfort of internet-addicted visitors :) as well as prohibition of smoking in the whole hotel (now it is partly allowed in the bar and TV room only).
