Hotel Althof Retz

(1) location is great, you can take a walk around the fields, the air is clear and it's very quiet. I stayed in the autumn and it was lovely; (2) another plus is free parking at the hotel's own garage; (3) my room had a door opening into the patio, very nice for evenings out (however there was no table on the street so you have to drag a chair and improvise).

(1) people smoke in the bar next to entrance, it is terrible for when you need to check in/out, but also (2) Wi-Fi doesn't work in the rooms, and neither in restaurant, so you need to be next to reception to access emails -- in which case you breath in wonderful second-hand cigarette smoke all the time; (3) the breakfast is very limited in selection, no fish, only 2 types of yogurt, and tea is of below-average quality; had to resort to eating bread & butter to fuel up; (4) my room was very far form reception, not a problem for me but for older people may become an issue; (5) the room's decor is very basic, there were no bathrobes, no extra blankets, not much more than in a basic motel. Finally, the staff at the reception: OK but not more.

Sehr geräumiges 2 Bettzimmer. Unterstützung der Rezeptionsmitarbeiter bei einer Adresssuche!
