Vuonna 2006 italialainen arkkitehti Matteo Thun suunnitteli uudelleen 9 omalaatuista huonetta. Hän valitsi niihin belle époque -tyylistä eleganssia, joka edustaa modernia designia. Tyylissä on kuitenkin viittauksia Wienin upeaan historialliseen menneisyyteen. Sisustusta hallitsevat tummat värit, ja sitä korostavat kristallikruunut ja erittäin laadukkaat kalusteet.
Myös Wienin suurin ostoskatu, Mariahilfer Strasse, ja lukuisat ravintolat sijaitsevat vain kävelymatkan etäisyydellä hotellilta.

We loved the feel of the place, the nice staff and the breakfeast including the complimentary four o'clock tea. The location just behind the museums ufer is also fantastic. nothing - except maybe little privacy in the design room toilet which was with glass door |

We liked the helpfulness of the staff and the spacious room. the idea of an afternoon tea was much appreciated in a hot holiday. The location of the hotel was excellent with easy access to public transport. The breakfast was of high quality with a wide choice and cooked eggs of all descriptions. The rooms in this hotel are highly variable in design and our stay suffered by comparison to the hotels which we had stayed in in both Bratislava and Budapest. For example, we occupied a junior suite and whilst the sizes of the rooms were excellent the decor was somewhat basic. In the bathroom which was large we also had the hot water boiler for our part of the hotel. Other rooms have very different decoration. Anyone selecting this hotel should express their preference for style of decor as the rooms in the hotel are highly variable. The only other downside was that when busy the breakfast staff get a little flustered and it took three orders on one occasion to secure our cooked food. |

Non-standard, non-chain atmosphere - quirky but interesting: those coloured figures in the corridors! Excellent breakfasts. Silly basin taps - form ahead of function. Air-con cut off whilst still too hot - 22 degrees C is too hot for comfortable sleep. |

The spacious rooms were great you really feel that you can come back and relax after a long day sight seeing. The breakfast is great and they even do perfect soft boiled eggs. Not to mention the relaxing tea and cakes served in the afternoon. The clientel were vast and varied so it would suit anyone visiting vienna and is not far to walk to all the major sights. No kettle in the room to have a cup of tea. But there were facilities for afternoon tea. |

Very spacious and unique rooms. Attracts a very pleasant and generally refined clientele. The staff were very helpful and accommodating of requests.Don't stay here for the facilities or services. Stay here for the unique experience. There is nothing wrong with this hotel. It's an amazing experience. It's just expensive. You are paying for the experience. |

This hotel is not state of the art in the sense that e.g. all furniture is new, but it has such a charm, the staff was so nice and the whole experience was so good, that I will definitely return to this hotel whenever I will be in Vienna again. I asked for a quiet room and got one that was really quiet. Bed was excellent, breakfast was also really good. Highly recommended! |
