La familiaridad y diposición de las personas que nos atendieron ... El desayuno fue maravilloso, con especialidades de la región y hecho en casa!

Nunca le he dado especial importancia al trato humano en un hotel ya que, normalmente, toda mi relación social con el personal del hotel se suele limitar al "Buenos días", "por favor" y "gracias" Pero cuando te encuentras con una persona como Marianne y su familia el concepto "trato humano" toma otra dimensión. La estancia se covierte de repente en doblemente agradable y te das cuenta del importante "plus" que es encontrarte con personas tan agradables, simpáticas, extremadamente serviciales y con pura felicidad en su rostro. Los pequeños inconvenientes del hotel, que los tienen, para mí quedaron plenamente suplidos por el trato y, sin duda, puedo recomendar la estancia.

El hotel está bastante céntrico, pero hay que caminar unos 5-10 minutos para visitar las principales atracciones turísticas; y en la mayor parte de los casos hay que cruzar el río. El hotel es una edificio histórico, con lo bueno y malo que eso conlleva: encantador pero no tan cómodo como un hotel de nueva construcción. Falta espacio y el mobiliario es antiguo (aunque bien conservado) pero la cama no es especialmente cómoda y el espacio para el desayuno es reducido, por lo que la el número de mesas y la variedad del buffet también son reducidos. Eso sí. La calidad de los productos es excelente. El precio de la habitación es, sin duda, caro para lo que estamos acostumbrados en España, pero está en la media teniendo en cuenta los precios del alojamiento en el casco antiguo de Salzburgo.

Lots of street noise at night, no air conditioning, no fridge

Location was central and within walking distance of all Salzburg old city sites. Very good and reasonable restaurants nearby in the local area. We enjoyed our stay here. Marianne, the owner is very helpful and an excellent host. The breakfast offered at the hotel for 5 E per person is good and very convenient on the ground floor in the breakfast room.

No air conditioning, if you had hot and humid weather for your stay in Salzburg, the room would not be comfortable. The room that we had faced the street, and although we were on the 4th floor, the noise from several bars on the street woke us up several times during the night 2 nights out of 3. There is no lounge or area to sit and share a glass of wine with friends before going out to dinner. We did this in our room and although it was a bit crowded, it all worked out.

We only stayed for one night since we where passing through Salzburg on our way home from Italy. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was cute and clean. Breakfast was good but not included in room price and a bit expensive.

There was a pub located nextdoor and the sound from the street was very load all night.

The staff and customer service was exceptional, they were also very knowledgable and open to help. Bathrooms were very well stocked, towels and all the sheets were very clean. It had a nice old-timey vibe with the physical old-timey keys, rather than key cards. Great place.

My only complaint was that the bed covers were old and not very comfortable (they were scratchy), and the room was fairly basic. Certainly a good deal for a budget travler, perhaps consider other options if you're on business.

Staff very polite and friendly. Location close to the pedestrian area of the city.

There are many aspects of this particular hotel which I like very much: 1. Friendly, pleasant, intelligent, caring staff - and the wonderful feature, namely, here exists a receptionist with a superb sense of humour; 2. The creative ambience of the hotel: so many attractive, homely and seasonal touches adding warmth, such as the Christmas crib, tree and decorations; 3. The hotel home baking - makes breakfasts delightful. Altogether, I would say that Altstadt Hotel Garni Trumer Stube is a superb place to stay, within easy access to the culture, shopping, entertainment and transport of this beautiful city. I have stayed at this hotel twice now and I very much hope to again.

The staff were warm and extremely friendly and helpful, this made up for the economic non luxurious room as compared to price. On the whole I would choose it on my next trip to salzburg.

It had no coffe and tea facilities in the room, tv satellite stations lacked variety in language especially for non-German speaking people.

Nice little hotel, very friendly and nice staff and good value for the money. Location is perfect for the short city trip.
