Location; quiet street
Perfect charming hotel!
Helpful staff and near the old Centre of town. Plenty of great shopping and a supermarket just around the corner.
Very small shower.
Hotel was a short cab-ride away from the train station, in a pedestrian walking zone. A short, 5-10 minute walk across the bridge to Old City and all attractions. Room was clean and cozy (follows European-small room standards). Continental breakfast at €9 was convenient -- especially on Sunday morning when little else was open.
The Wifi signal was very weak in the room, so be aware.
location, friendly staff, cozy room
wifi is available but signal is weak...
The location is good; it's a 10-minute walk to the Salzburg Cathedral on the other side of the river and 5-minutes to where the Panorama Tour buses depart. The breakfast was a good value for the money.
The bed was basically a 4 inch/10 cm thick foam mattress on plywood; very uncomfortable. Perhaps they were on a Christmas holiday schedule but the front desk was not occupied as late as I would have expected; typically, they were gone by 7:00 or 8:00. When we arrived by train from Prague around 9:00 at night, there was no one at the front desk to unlock the door. Fortunately, some guests let us in almost immediately but I think the hotel should have made us aware of this. Overall, I think there are better accommodations in Salzburg.
There is nothing to dislike apart from the Wifi. This hotel provides everything you need from an excellent location.
Wifi was bit weak.
Location, free Wifi, nice breakfast and helpful staff.
Decor a little bit tired but more than made up for by extremely friendly and helpful staff.
We have stayed in a room with double bed which has almost no mattress, only foam. Breakfast is very poor.
The hotel was in a perfect spot, close to the old city. Breakfast was great, staff were very pleasant and considerate. Will definitely go back there if the opportunity arises.
Couldn't fault anything. Excellent value for money.
They say that first impressions count for alot....especially at a Hotel. The staff at the CITYHOTEL TRUMER STUBE, were friendly, kind, helpful and professional. The rooms were excellent, breakfast was good, the staff were very flexible on check-out and allowed us to store our luggage, so we could enjoy the historical beauty of Salzburg. The Hotel is located in a perfect area...right around (literally) the corner from The Mozart Residence/Museum... 3 blocks and across the Salzach river to the old town area of Salzburg and 2 blocks away from the city tour buses, which we would suggest to take for 1 hour of great historical tour of Salzburg and an overview of what sites you want to prioritize your visit/tour. There are dozens of great restaurants near the Hotel....and we suggest trying the local chocolates called the "MozartKugeln"...enjoy your stay...it's a beautiful city....
Nothing Negative to report
Great breakfast Great staff
Wifi a bit slow
Close to Salzburg's old town & tourist attractions
There was no one at the reception counter from 7+ pm to 7+ am
We stayed here for two nights in December. The room was quiet and clean. The staff spoke excellent English. Breakfast was good and included in price. WIFI was free and worked fine. It was a short walk to Mirabell and the bridge to cross to old town was just around the corner. So convenient to everything, but more reasonably priced than staying on the old town side.
Parking was at ramp at Mirabell Gardens, about a 8 minute walk from the hotel. You are able to drive your car to the hotel to unload and load your luggage, but then you must move car to the garage. Cost at garage is 15 Euros/day. Make sure to get discount ticket from hotel staff or else you pay 20 Euro/day. Also, to drive car to hotel for loading and unloading, you will need a code to enter at gate (bollard that lowers to let you in) to get into the street. Make sure you understand from the staff how to get the car back out and what streets to turn on. We went by mistake to the wrong gate, where our code did not work, and we could not get out. Very difficult to backup and resolve the issue as people are walking everywhere. Finally a car came behind us and went ahead to open gate, and we got out right behind him. Thank you kind sir!
Great location (easily walkable to, but not in, the bustle of the Old Town area) on a quiet side street, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, & accommodations more than adequate for the cost.
Bathroom was small, but serviceable, typical of many affordable European hotels.
The location was excellent - 5mins to Old town. Pedestrian area. The hotel was more traditional than the usual chain hotels. Friendly efficient staff. Good selection for breakfast. Room clean, warm and pleasant.
Noise from drinkers across the road who came out of the bars and chatted very loudly until the early hours of the morning. No hot food at breakfast. 22.50 euros.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, near to the center of Town, close to Linzergrasse as well as Schloss Mirabell. The room is spacious and facilities are clean and convenient. 1 free bottled water and some chocolates in the room which are a big surprise to us.
Nothing to complain. Everything is perfect.
Excellent location, friendly staff. Even though we were late for check in around 9pm, receptionist closed at 7pm, we just rang the hotel & they provide us passcode to access the hotel & room number for us to check in ourselves. It is easy & convenient.
Clean, comfortable, great location, nice breakfast, good value.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, nice breakfast, great location to town center, can walk to everything. Parking is a bit of a walk, but ok.
Just a heads up, there is a night-club across the street and if you have a room facing the street it may be loud to the wee hours, so request a room facing the back.
Perfect location! Accommodated our group of eleven in a timely and professional manner. Would definitely stay here again!
location and the receptionists are nice, the breakfast are limited but I like one kind of cheeses they offerred very much.
limited edition of perfume seemed to have vanished.
By far the most friendly staff we encountered on our 3-week stay in Europe. They were helpful throughout the stay, always cheerful and smiling.
Very nice and friendly staffs. Location is wonderful as well.
Room is too small. Toillete is so small. Bed is too old. Pillow is old. Towers are not changed. Worst hotel among I have ever experienced
