The Motel One is a modern hotel in Vienna’s Westbahnhof transport hub and shopping complex, a 10-minute subway ride from the center of the city.
Score from 4924 reviews Excellent
In Vienna's vibrant 7th district, only a 10-minute tram ride from the Ringstraße Boulevard, the Hofburg Palace and the Westbahnhof Train Station, the family-run Hotel Kaffeemühle offers free Wi-Fi...
Score from 2984 reviews Good
The Meininger Downtown Sissi is in the Leopoldstadt District, a 10 minute walk from the Schottenring subway station. The modern rooms with private bathrooms are all soundproofed.
Score from 2729 reviews Very good
Hotel Savoy Garni provides spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi access. It is only a 10-minute walk from the Ringstraße boulevard and only steps from the MuseumQuarter.
Score from 418 reviews Excellent
Very friendly, helpful staff. Cool vibe.
The noise from guests returning in the wee hours. Very loud.
Excellent location in 'trendy' / 'upcoming' area of Vienna. Plenty of design and vintage furniture shops around (hotel decor reflected this). Good restaurants/bars in area though hotel restaurant itself was very good too.
Location is nice, peaceful street, near all my points of interest
Advertised free wifi was absolutely not working in my room, which was frustrating.
Great Location Good breakfast Nice and helpful staff Kitchen nook with fridge and stove Interesting interior design
No electrical outlets close to the bed. No chair or stool at the writing desk. Shower head holder falling apart.
Lovely building and very warm indoors. Staff were most helpful. On tram route into the centre, so very easy to get about.
At points the room was a touch TOO warm! The restaurant wasn't open which was a shame.
Very warm and friendly staff. Spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Short walk from a U3 station and one of the major shopping streets - Mariahilfer Strasse.
Maybe too close to the major shopping street - Mariahilfer Strasse.
Hotel am Brillantengrund is a comfortable accommodation in a quiet side street with easy access to central Vienna and the West Bahnhof. Andrea, who tends the front desk, is an exceptional receptionist - friendly and helpful., even to the point of searching in her purse for cold medication for us. The rooms are on the small side, but ours sported a lovely old chandelier!
One drawback is that there are no room-darkening curtains. We were located on the second story of the courtyard with a large window. Every time someone walked along the walkway during the night, the lights would automatically turn on and shine in our room. Also, the beds are hard, with little give, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. But, we found most of the beds in Austria to be of this type.
the tram station to center/west station is very near from the hotel.
the smell of the washroom
We had a suite that was excellent. There is a bus from the inner city ring/subway station that drops you few steps from the hotel. The hotel staff should mention this to every guest when they check in. The area is very quiet and safe. There is a grocery store few steps away open till 7pm. Plenty of good restaurants around too if you don't want to dine in the city
Everything was ok, good position, complete breakfast.
No refrigerator in the room.
The triple room was quite large. Bed was fine. The underground station and the famous shopping street were only 10 minutes walking.
Breakfast was fresh and bread was nice. But it had the basics... Wifi was not that good on all areas.
Lighting was dim
Great restaurant, comfortable beds, great staff
The ambiance! Excellent location, very quiet room, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast!
The location & staff
This is our third stay and as always the staff were very helpful Breakfast is always plentiful Very well placed to visit the city but also very close to the main station as well Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here
Location was good, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent, from freshly made orange juice to lovely crispy bacon and eggs - choice was good. Would stay there again when we next return to Vienna. Many thanks to all staff.
Little garden inside very beautiful
The bathroom ..the shower especially not so practice..
Friendly staff Nice hot water
Room was large, with a view on to the courtyard. The breakfast for 5 Euros was also a great deal. Not very close to the centre of Vienna, but within walking distance to outskirts and a lot of facilities, incl. the train station. Would highly recommend.
Nothing comes to mind.
That it was clean and comfortable and within walking distance of the city centre. Had a nice, relaxed atmosphere, with a nice individual feel to it. Pleasingly, it didn't feel at all corporate.
There wasn't much I didn't like. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be good but it's only a minor observation.
We loved the philipino food, the kindness of the staff, and the value of the hotel. We will definitely stay here again.
However, our first night there we were in a room beside the stairwell and my husband didn't sleep a wink. They moved us to another room on the 2nd floor- and loved it!
- breakfast's available - comfortable bed, good quality sleep - friendly staff - general location is good, 10mins walk to nearest metro station
- smoking permitted in courtyard, all rooms can smell the cigarette smoke, not good for people with sensitive airways - weak Wi-Fi, need to be close to the window facing courtyard to get better signals - the walk to/from metro station is safe but very quiet at night
A relatively small hotel with a homely atmosphere and friendly staff, located in an unpretentious street, offering excellent breakfast and delicious Filipino dishes for lunch or dinner.
Can't think of anything.
The hotel is beautifully laid out around a central courtyard, where we were able to have breakfast on our last day (it was raining the other days). The breakfast was great value - €3 per day- usual cereals, breads, cheeses etc plus eggs and bacon. Our room was a non-smokers' room so didn't have a balcony-if you want a balcony you should get a smokers' room. The area around the hotel is great for restaurants and bars-great choice of cuisines, prices are much lower than the centre and they're nowhere near as touristy. The hotel has a restaurant serving Phillipino food, which we'd hoped to try, but didn't get round to. Hotel bar looks friendly and quite busy although we didn't try it. Transport to the city centre from around the corner (if you have change you can buy ticket on tram). Interesting 'alternative' shops nearby.
Only very little things - eg no fridge in room, no drawers or shelf space for books.
