price tag, location, car parking nearby on the streets (free on weekend)
bed was okay, but blanket suitable for alaskan nights - bring your own blanket, otherwise wont be sleeping too much az theirs is hot as hell. Also street-by windows' sealing is not pass enough so street noises comes thru it.
Great location, right next to Matzleinsdorferplatz. Delicious (although pricey) breakfast. The best part though was the absolute best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I was checked in by a very helpful gentleman named Peter. He gave me maps, told me the best attractions and bars to visit in Vienna, as well as the food and beer to try. I also told him I was thinking of a day trip to Bratislava, and he gave me advice for that city as well! During our conversation I mentioned how I forgot all my toiletries at my student residence, and he hooked me up with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and shaving gear. He made my three day stay in Vienna much better than it should have been. An incredible customer service experience.
Be prepared for noise if your room is facing Margaretengürtel: a very busy street in between the hotel and Matzleinsdorferplatz.
They charged the room charge from credit card twice and said they didn't ...
Very spatious room. Excellent value for the actual price, especially in Vienna.
Little bit weared but nothing serious (still everything was clean).
Root dimensions, TV not work. Hotel dont have parking
Friendly staff, tram stop near, big room, nice and comfortable bathroom, excellent heating,
Lack of parking space, garage is ~ 700 m far
The road outside was like a race track and it was not as central as you might have been led to believe from other reviews. The bathroom STANK of smoke. No soap
Constant noise, there was a banging noise, which we think was the heating, but it was so loud, it ensured our sleep was disturbed. The wifi does not work at all.
Close to train station and Metro Station
It was very comfortable. The price was not too high, considering that was near the center and all that was included. It has many options of transport and very near.
Couldn't be a better find. Yes, it's not in the center but it's an excellent facility with excellent staff. From there you can access the center through Tram 62 in about 15 minutes or go to Westbanhouf station via tram 6 or 18 (I actually walked there, about 25 mins). There are metros, trains, and tram that pass by Matzleinsdorfer station just across the street from the hotel. WiFi is extremely important to me because it's my only form of communication (I have no functioning phone in Europe, but I have Viber) including doing bookings, etc, and they have excellent WiFi. Want to experience a safe, local neighborhood in Vienna, this is it. I'm returning there in a few days for a weekend stay - that's how much I like it.
The room was the biggest we stayed in our travel. The bed was super clean , with new linen ( I think). It is located in front of tram stop, so you can reach the city center very soon. And the staff was very helpful and kind.
Was a bit far from the city center. Wifi did not work very well in the room. It is ubicated in a very noisy street , but very well conected.
The breakfast was excelent and it was very easy to reach from the airport
The hotel didn't respect our wish to have two separate beds. The beds were very uncomfortable, the rooms needed redecoration and the tidiness was poor. I wouldn't recommend it.
Location is a key point for Hotel Allegro as it is very near the Matzleinsdorferplatz station. Staff was helpful and courteous.
A bit noisy and wifi on upper floors was not terribly strong.
helpful staff who gave me an early check-in and any assistance/ guidance asked for.
room did not have glass tumblers or teacups.
Probably most people think this hotel is good but not me. They ask me whether a quiet room or not. Of course. Therefore my room window is facing the waste containers. There is a lot of sunshine outside but not inside. It is completely different from pictures. The wifi is so poor that you cannot search it at your room. You have to take buses wherever you go because it is far from city centre.
The location is good. Room was huge, and very cheap for the size, especially in Europe.
Looks a little run down in the elevator and hallway, but the rooms are great.
The room was small for efficient for a single traveler. Everything was clean, esp the bathroom. Public transportation was across the street. The wifi was great!
It took 30 - 40 min to get to the Volksgarten area. The breakfast was fair but at least I could have several cups of coffee. I never saw bacon cooked so little. I wish there was a TV news station in English.
We asked for a quite inside room. Since none were available, we were upgraded without additional cost to teh 5th floor which is practically an appartment with a kitchenette. We liked it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast if good.
the WiFi did not work on the 5th floor and we had to go downstairs to use it. The safe in the room did not work.
Position was excellent for catching the early train. Check in and out was very quick. Tram 20 from the door gave us a wonderful tour of the sights. Excellent value stay.
Good location, friendly and qualified staff.
Hotel is located at a busy crossroad, sometimes the noise comes to the room.
cheaper than other hotels, clean room.
breakfast was a little expensive for me (9€).
Breakfast is ok
Cold and unwelcoming decoration
What did I like? Almost everything. Why? First - there's nothing NOT to like. The location is awesome, near an S-bahn station, relatively not far from U-bahn stations and most importantly - you can leterally walk up to the very center of Vienna in a very short time. Rooms are nice, clean and quite. Breakfast is might be a bit more varied, but anyway for that price everyone will find what suits them the best.
Occasional black "streaks" on the walls. I understand they are "made" by a not so careful guests (by bags, clothes, whatever), and actually they do not anyhow devalue this wonderful Hotel, still it would be nice not to have something like this
