This luxurious 5-star hotel is on the Kärntner Straße shopping street in the center of Vienna, just 220 yards from the Stephansplatz and Karlsplatz Underground (subway) Stations. It features a restaurant and free Wi-Fi. Opened in 1898, the Ambassador Hotel has hosted famous guests such as Marlene Dietrich and Mark Twain. The location is wonderful! Near the most important sightseeings and Opera. Also many boutiques and malls are next to the door. The interiors are very nice. But when you pay so much for staying, you are expecting everything to be just perfect. The cleaning was not enoughf. Ones In the morning we put our cloths to be ironed for the opera in the evening, but when we came back at about 4 pm to get ready for opera we found our clothes unironed. We had only one pair of sleepers for three persons. So the hotel that pretends to be a five-star should not have such attitude for their guests

Everything! Very kind and professionel personnel on all levels and parts of the hotel. Exellent location in the city.The whole atmosphere in the hotel was welcoming. Beautiful reception. A place to like. To go home!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in apartment and that was excellent with great facilities. Location was excellent. Full breakfast is expensive at e25 each but ask for continental which is good for half that. Bar lacks atmosphere.

I liked the space, design, attention to details. 1. The bathroom in room 601 stinks. A very bed smell. 2. I had to wait 45 minutes for my car. I almost missed my plane.

We are mature couple and stayed ther as part of our honeymoon,we were upgraded to 'Theme Room' 314 which we really appreciated. Good tips from staff and Max in the bar ! Have sent letter of thanks when we finally arrived home in Dublin. Thanks & see you in Spring or Autumn, which is better to see more and surrounding area & river trip ? Best wishes Ken & Trish Flynn

Service given by Natalie was great. She assisted us with great care. Location is very good. Room are very well designed and taken care of. We had an overall good experience. Few malfunctions which unfortunately were not taken care of throughout our whole stay (telephone not working for example)
