Can't sleep because of street noise Expected to find a coffee maker in a 5 star hotel Refused to provide an iron & iron board
Location and the room size ONLY
The staff in the reception they were bad, no smile, no welcome, they make you avoid talking to them.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are beautiful and clean and quiet. Prime location in center of city in the luxurious shops.
I loved absolutely everything, the location, the atmosphere, the terraces and the helpful staff and their huge smiles
Location. Spacious rooms. Cleanliness. We had connected rooms - that is really convenient. The decor looks a bit old-fashioned but that adds some viennese charm to your stay. Really soundproof walls and windows. The airconditioner is a bit noisy but that did not annoy me. Good beds and pillows. Polite and helpful personnel at the reception.
1. Overpriced breakfast and room service. 2. No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms. We stayed in Das Tyrol Hotel a few months earlier - they offer Nespresso machines and capsules and tea kettles with tea in every room. Ambassador charges 5 euro for a hot pot and another 5 euro for delivery - ridiculous, especially in view of us only asking for HOT WATER! We needed and extra cup - another 5 euro! No napkins were brought. We come to Vienna several times a year and have stayed in a number of hotels downtown. This really looked too greedy!
Right at center of the city! Right at shopping street!
Nothing i can think of!
We loved the location and size of the Ambassador, perfect for a short stay in the heart of this lovely city. The hotel's front of house staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming.
A minor comment - the housekeeping needs monitoring as our room remained unvisited by housekeeping staff during our stay.
Very friendly staff
Poor bathroom lighting for shaving
I checked in at 6pm, bt the reception give me a room totally uncleaned and full of trash! The scene I saw kept me disgusted during my stay. The housekeeper seems never finish the cleaning，as the first day I found a wet twisted hand towel was left on the lavatory lid！Did they wipe the lavatory with handtowels? Because i definitely left the handtowls on the washing table, not the lavatory lid. The second day the waitor in the restaurant take 15mins to give me a table, althought the restaurant almost empty and only two tables he needed to serve. The third day the housekeeper left an extra sheet and two pillow cases on the armchairs. The fourth day they drop towels behind the door. In a word this hotel is really slappy! The only good thing is the location. But thr is another four star hotel by it, and it is cheaper!
The location is ideal for anyone that wants to see the historic sites, go shopping or attend a concert. The rooms are large, bright and stylish and distinctly Viennese. One could well believe that Empress Sisi stayed here. Furthermore, the staff are very helpful and friendly, so my times at the hotel have always been very enjoyable and relaxing. It is one of the nicest hotels in Europe that I can recommend.
Driving to the hotel in a car with Vienna's one way system and narrow streets can be challenging, but I guess this is where GPS helps.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, accommodating and helpful, and spoke excellent English. We were allowed a late checkout on our day of departure. We loved the hotel's charm and history, as well as the ambience created by the elegant chandeliers. The hotel was centrally located in the midst of the shopping precinct, close to restaurants, and within walking distance to many of the major attractions.
€25pp. for breakfast! The absence of tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No iron.
Great location, dead in center; friendly & helpfull staff. Bed and linnen was clean and we slept very well.
City is noisy in the morning, so you have to use airco; nothing to do with the hotel, I just don't like airco
I cannot over emphasize the advantage of the location. Right in the heart of the tourists area, walking distance to all the museums. Beautiful room and bathroom, well maintained.
I would have preferred softer mattresses. No Arabic or English TV channels except news channels
Staff friendly & helpful Delicious breakfast in lovely dining room.
The dishonest taxi driver. Nothing to do with hotel except parked outside
Wonderful location and an excellent price/quality ratio
Beautiful and comfortable room and the location. Right in the heart of old Vienna.
Location ideal Staff helpful
Took several requests to get light repaired.
Non intrusive staff.
The location was excellent and our room overlooked a quiet square.
The bar and restaurant looked very dreary
Helpfulness of the staff and location was perfect.
Would have been great to have had the gym on the premises but not vital as there were provisions made for the use of gym.
The street is very noisy and it is impossible to open the windows. Our room was facing the wall. The size of the room looked smaller than advertised; the furniture and furnishings were different from the photos on booking.com.The room smelled somewhat of cleaning detergents. Soundproofing is not very good. The floor was creaking - wakes you up immediately if the second person in the room gets up early or in the middle of the night. We asked for another room but were told that none was available. It is allowed to smoke in the hotel. The bar was very hot.
Very comfortable hotel, great food and fantastic location
Everything was fabulous
bed comfort, lack of air condition in the bar, noisy air condition in the room
